Chapter 19

Alissya stirred in her sleep as the sun began to reveal its rays. The girl's eyelids slowly opened, and then she blinked as she saw the eyes as she saw the blinding light. Alissya rose from her sleep and stretched out her arms.

"I didn't expect to fall asleep so easily in this room,"Alissya muttered, then flicked off the blanket covering her body and moved from the four beds to the window of the room.

Alissya pushed the window open with both hands. Immediately, the girl felt a gust of wind hit her face as the window was wide open. Slowly, the corners of the girl's lips lifted as she saw people passing by, busy with their activities.

Alissya began to remember when she lived with her mother. She would wake up early to start her work and then go to town to sell all her harvest.

"I really miss those days,"she thought.

Knock knock...

The girl turned around when she heard a knock at her bedroom door.

"Are you awake, dear?"Chatlotte said from outside.

"Yes mom, let me get cleaned up first,"Alissya said as she heard her mother's voice.

"Alright, mom is waiting in the dining room with the others,"Charlotte said before leaving the room.

Alissya decided to clean her body right away. She didn't want the others to be late for breakfast just because she was waiting.

Fifteen minutes later, Alissya had finished cleaning herself and put on the clothes she had brought with her. After that, she immediately stepped out without any makeup on her face and her hair down. Akssya was very lazy when she had to stay in front of the temple and fiddle with all the equipment that was supposed to make all the waruta cry.

It was said to make all Waruta look very beautiful. But for her, it was just a waste of time.

In the dining room, Charlotte, Grace, and Anne talked as they enjoyed breakfast on the table. Meanwhile, Jacob was on the terrace with the palace guards who were supposed to keep the house safe while Alissya was there.

"Good morning,"Alissya greeted, smiling happily at everyone.

"Good morning Alissya. Hurry up and eat your breakfast,"Anne said as she handed Alissya a plate of sandwiches.

"Thank you Auntie."

It had never occurred to her to become a queen. Besides, everyone criticized her just because she was the daughter of a man who was said to have betrayed the kingdom. Hadn't that been proven true yet? Alissya really couldn't control her emotions right now.

Alissya rubbed the corners of her eyes as she felt tears almost streaming down her face. Alissya also exhaled slowly, trying to calm her anger. At that moment, she stepped outside and saw all the people who had gathered in front of her house disperse as soon as they saw her arrival.

Jacob, who was originally standing in front of the house with his bodyguards, was a little surprised when he saw Alssya's arrival. Of course, they were afraid that Alissya would hear negative whispers about her. But it was already 'too late, because Alissya had heard everything very clearly.

"Why are you out, Alissya? Have you had breakfast?"Jacob asked, trying to change the subject.

Alissya smiled and nodded her head. "Yes Uncle,"Alissya replied briefly, but there was a slight note of sadness in the girl's voice,

Jacob walked over to Alissya and rubbed her shoulders, trying to give her strength.

"You are a very good-hearted child, Alissya. Uncle is very proud of you,"Alissya lifted her head and looked confused at Jacob.

"Never listen to what people say out there. This is your world, you are free to do what you want. Don't let what they say stop you from doing what you want."

Alissya smiled at the middle-aged man's words. Every time she saw Jacob, it was like seeing a father figure.

"Thank you uncle, you understand me very well."

Jacob smiled and gently rubbed the top of Alissya's head. Alissya is like his daughter. Jacob will be very happy to see Alissya happy. He would do anything to make her happy.

Not long after, Alissya was surprised to see a girl walking quickly towards the scene. At that moment, the girl immediately ran into Alissya's arms, making the girl giggle softly.

"I missed you so much, Alissya. I came straight to your house when I heard you were here,"Thezza said.

Alissya giggled softly at her best friend who looked so cute. Of course, she was very happy to see her best friend again.

"I missed you too, Princess,"Alissya said.

"Hey, don't call me that anymore. You're a queen now. Your position is even higher than mine. I should be the one to be polite to you,"Thezza said, acting like a princess bowing respectfully to a queen. They immediately laughed together at their ridiculous behavior.

Steve looked sharply at the man in front of him. The man was busy casually flipping through the paper in his hand.

"Tsk, you really are a stubborn man. How could you ignore what we all said?"Steve said annoyed.

Evan, hearing this, just shrugged indifferently without taking his eyes off him.

"I will pick them up. But later, when my work is done,"he said.

Evan made Steve roll his eyes lazily. If he wasn't a king, Steve probably would have beaten the man senseless.

"I really pity Alissya for getting a mate like you."

Steve said in a worried tone. But then he book right in his face. Steve, who was about to make his voice heard, was immediately delayed because he heard a knock at the door of the room.

Knock, knock, knock.

"Looks like they're here,"Evan said as he organized all the files on his desk.

At that moment the door to the room opened to reveal Alpha Christian and Alpha stepping into the room.

"My lord,"they both said as they bowed to Evan who was eagerly awaiting their arrival.

"Sit down,"Evan ordered. They sat down on the sofa in the room.

"Sorry to ask you to come so suddenly,"Evan said.

Alpha Chris snorted quietly,"no problem. Alex and I heard everything. So what's your plan?"he asked.

"We can't move yet. It will be a big risk if we attack directly without preparation. After all, we took an oath with a witch,"Evan said with a straight face.

"Ah siall, i don't like swearing by witches. She will only cause us trouble,"Alfa Alex was annoyed.

"You're right, witches like to manipulate. But is she a low-level witch?"Alpha Chris said.

Evan shook his head as he crossed his arms,"no, she's been at the highest level for a hundred years,"suddenly the people in the room looked around in surprise.

"That's why i called Kahan to discuss this. We should at least be prepared in case this witch attacks,"he continued.

"Should we tell Alpha Demuan and Alpha Derix about this?"Alpha Chris asked.

Evan shook his head, "not at this time." Evan remembered the first time he met the witch. The first person he fought when he gained power, Evan knew very well that this time she would take revenge for what he had done. But he would never be afraid to face them all. He would protect everything he had. No one would be allowed to touch what he had, not even a finger, race.

A woman smiled happily as she held her daughter's hand beside her and at the old woman's side stood a man with a cold face.

"Grandma!"the little girl cried excitedly.
