Chapter 35: "Time to go Home"
Lea:
“Time to Die.” That bastards voice echoed in my head as my body went limp, submerged into a warm blanket of darkness.
I should be dead, but why?
“You do like pissing the “Bull” off, don’t you?” That familiar, warm voice broke through the darkness as Leto stood with a large grin on her face.
“Do you blame me?” I laughed darkly as Leto perked a curious brow at me.
“You’re so much like me. Now, it’s time for that decision I told you about earlier.” She smiled like a loving mother with her child.
“What might that be?” I perked my brow as I rolled my neck feeling rejuvenated.
“Save a life or join the “Gods”. Your choice.” She stood firmly with her arms crossed delicately over her chiffon cladded chest.
“What?” I asked confused at her statement.
“Join the “Gods” with me or save your gravely wounded mother.” She held my gaze with a softness as the knot grew tighter in my chest.
“My mother.” I was quick with my answer, because she still had to meet her grand pups and my dad’s would be devastated if they lost her.
Not to mention the impact her loss would cause the different realms.
Mom was a “Fighting Spirit” and everyone was drawn to her strong sense of self.
“Understand Lea, by choosing this you give up any claim to join the “GODS” and you will walk the Earth for longer than any of your family.” She spoke with such softness that my heart ached.
“I understand, but that means I can protect my pups and their families, be a guiding light for those lost, because monsters like “Victor” and his demon spawn will always wreak havoc on the innocent.” I spoke proudly as I stood taller with my head held high.
“Spoken like a “True Mother”. Go my child.” She wrapped her arms around me, filling me with the warmest sensation I had ever felt.
“Remember, I am always watching over you and make as many pups as possible.” Her smile radiated brightly as the darkness turned into the warmest, brightest light as I was plucked back into the humid, night air.
Loud growling, and chaos filled my senses as my vision cleared to Dad JR battling Aeros in a bloody, feral battle. Turning slowly as my hand touched mom’s bloody, torn flesh as hot, stinging tears rolled down my cheeks knowing I made the right decision.
Save my mom and protect my family.
The blue flames raged in life as I looked up, seeing Byron and DM trapped behind a smaller barrier of flames with shocked, overwhelmed expressions. Sky howled to the heavens as the ground pulsated under me, feeling the surging energy of souls that had been lost for so long.
“Become “One”.” Sky hummed softly as we merged our spiritual beings into one.
Loud guttural roaring erupted from the sky, knowing Onyx was here to unleash her fury. Screeching cries echoed loudly as her beautiful, purple iridescent dragon soared freely through the moonlit sky as the blue flames were consumed by her majestic black flames that danced dangerously over the battlefield.
“ABOUT FUCKING TIME ONYX!” Kolt shouted from behind the outer ring of flames.
Byron and DM rushed towards me and mom as her breathing began to stabilize.
“TOO SLOW!” Aeros’ disgusting voice echoed through the humid air as Byron and DM slid up to us.
“Lea.” Byron spoke with a heavy relief as he gently placed his hands on my body to check for any wounds, watching him in loving wonder.
“How did I end up so lucky?” I silently asked as Sky purred at the sight of our mate, cupping his cheek in my hand feeling his body heat pulse through my skin.
“It’s Time.” I spoke softly as I looked down to mom, placing my hand over her wound as everything faded away.
A soft smile formed across her lips as the spiritual energy pulsated heavier through my body, watching as mom’s golden-white aura drifted gently from her body. It slowly merged with my white flame-like aura as loud humming consumed the surroundings with bright flashes of white throughout the battlefield.
“The Spirits speak.” Mom linked softly as our bodies grew in intensity, feeling the warmth radiate through my palm as her wound closed with a soft flash of warm light.
“Mom.” I choked out as her hand cupped my tear stricken cheek with a soft grunt as she went to sit up.
“No, you rest. I’ll deal with Aeros.” I hissed darkly as Byron shook his head in protest.
DM scooped mom into his lap as Byron motioned for me to stay down.
“I finish this now.” I growled lowly as Byron leaned back with a perked brow and that evil smirk.
“So forceful.” Sky laughed lightly as she shook out her body with a quick shake.
“Fine. Let me help.” He cupped his warm hands under my arms as my legs shook from exhaustion.
Onyx was gorgeous with her silvery-purple hair, flowing gently in the night breeze as her long, slender fingers gripped tightly around Aeros’ neck with a deadly glint in her eye. Aeros’ eyes grew large as I approached him with Byron close to my backside with his warm palm placed firmly at the base of my back.
“Impossible.” Aeros hissed through his gritted teeth as Onyx tilted her head in amusement.
“You know for as “old” as you are, you’re awfully stupid when it comes to the supernatural realm.” I laughed with a snarky hitch as his body shook under Onyx’s grip.
“Like you would know more about it.” Aeros scoffed, rolling his eyes in disgust.
Onyx perked her brow as I scanned the aftermath of battle, seeing several wounded warriors from all three packs and my family helping the wounded.
“How many deaths?” I linked Byron, while holding Aeros’ gaze with a deadly glare.
“All “Hunters”. Why?” Byron asked with a confused tone.
My heart felt heavy, even though they were enemies.
“Was it worth it?” I asked coldly as the spiritual energy flowed through my body, feeling my body become lighter as Aeros smirked at me with that sinister smirk that irked me to no end.
“Does it matter. I left my mark.” He scoffed darkly as Onyx fought to keep him alive in her grasp.
The dark shutter that ran though my body was enough to confirm the spirits decision. I placed my hand on Onyx’s shoulder, feeling her muscles twitch under my palm, side glancing me with a dark smirk.
“I, Azalea Stormcloud hereby condemn Aeros “Black Knight” Goldwater to death for treason against the Realms of Supernatural and mortals. Punishment in death will be servitude to the “Shadows” in the Dark Realm.” I spoke firmly as the Spiritual energy surged into my body, watching Aeros’ expression darkened into fear as the words registered with him.
“I, hereby pass the same judgment to your brother, Ace “The Butcher” Nightshade who awaits punishment in the Under Realm.” Byron spoke sternly behind me as his warm palms laid gently on my shoulders with a firm squeeze.
“Onyx release him.” I spoke with a cold tone as she hesitantly placed his feet back on the ground, stepping to the side with a steady eye on Aeros.
“Stupid Bitch. You should have just killed me.” Aeros hissed darkly as he attempted to step forward, but found his feet secured to the ground as his gaze landed on me with my classic “Eat Shit and Die Motherfucker” smirk.
Everyone gasped loudly as my body began to glow bright white as the spirits joined with me and Byron as the energy released in a swift burst, like a bomb exploding. Silently sweeping over the lands, claiming the damned to their final punishments.
“Your bloodline ends here.” I spoke coldly as my eyes landed on Aeros shaking violently as the energy swirled around us.
The ground wept violently as it split open with the souls that were condemned and wrongfully stolen from all their victims, dragging Aeros screaming into the pits of the Dark Realm. A final gust of wind rushed over us as the ground closed with a thunderous bang.
“OUR QUEEN!” Roared from the hoards of Shadows as they shifted into a sea of black Lycan beasts with their glowing red orbs, taking a knee with a long demonic howl.
Sky shook in excitement as Byron grabbed my hand, sending a rocketing surge of electricity through my body with a soft yelp. Byron shifted into Storm, sharing the same excited roar as Sky pushed forward.
“It’s safe to shift.” She purred excitedly as I felt my body contort and twist.
Standing proudly as the Full Moon shined upon my glistening white fur as Sky replied to her “Shadows” with a long howling roar.
“Your Mine.” Byron linked as Storm nudged his snout into Sky’s neck with a playful purr that rumbled deeply in my core.
“We’re yours.” I corrected him with a soft snort as Sky turned to see everyone in Lycan and wolf form, bowing to me.
“Time to go home.” I boomed through the link as the battlefield erupted into howls as we all dispersed to head home.
