Chapter 34: It's Time

Byron:

“We have to get in there.” I pointed angrily at the blue flames as Draven pitched his brows as he shook his head.

“We can’t. If we approach from above they will react to out spiritual energy, engulfing the area in a dome.” Draven pinched the bridge of his nose as we watched Aeros nudge Mei’s limp body with his nose.

Lea snarled darkly as she paced slowly, watching Aeros for an opening.

“Submit to me, or she dies.” Aeros hissed darkly as Lea continued to pace.

“Lie. You will kill her regardless.” Lea rebutted as her eyes swirled a crazy hue of jade and black.

“Your choice.” He laughed darkly as he tossed Mei’s body forward, spin kicking with a heavy thud as her body collided into Lea with a loud grunt as she fell backwards.

“NO!” Everyone shouted as Aeros rushed Lea, gripping her by the throat as her feet kicked wildly, clawing at his arms as he lifted her up turning towards us with a sinister smirk.

“Decision Time.” He shouted as Lea clawed and kicked at his body trying to break free from his hold.

“Let me in, and I will give you my answer.” I growled darkly as his eyes narrowed with a tilt to his head as he shook his head “No”.

“Fucking Coward.” Storm growled darkly, pacing wildly as we watched Lea fight her damnedest to break free.

“Aww…King Jack and Max, how nice of you to join us.” Aeros laughed with crazed hitch as JR and Max stepped up beside me and Kolt shaking in rage.

“How about you put her down and fight us.” JR boomed in a deathly tone as Aeros’ eyes narrowed to slits.

He looked at Lea fighting his hold as he whispered something to her, causing her to freeze her assault as her hands gripped his forearm.

“Deal, but under one condition.” Aeros laughed darkly as Lea’s neck snapped with a hollow crack as her body went limp.

A stabbing pain erupted through my body as Storm howled in pain, dropping to my knees as the “Shadows” roared into the sky around us. Loud mournful howls ripped violently through the field as Lea’s body dropped to the ground as Aeros shoved her limp body to the side.

He didn’t stop there.

He picked up Mei’s limp body, staring at JR and Max crying violently as their bodies twitched, and flexed as Aeros turned to the side as his head lolled to the side with a smirk.

“No women allowed.” He laughed darkly as his clawed hand plunged into her chest with a loud gasp as her eyes snapped open, screaming in pain as her body dropped to the ground.

Snarling, saliva gargling growls erupted from the group as Aeros twirled his finger in the air, watching as the flames dropped to a short level in front of us.

“Who wants to be first?” Aeros laughed darkly as his eyes landed on us with a dark smirk.

JR, Max, and Me looked at one another as we nodded in agreement, rushing at the time as we lunged through the flames before they closed around us. Looking up as Aeros tapped his finger to his chin, smirking as he snapped his fingers, encasing Max and Me in a smaller ring of blue flames.

“SON OF BITCH!” Kolt shouted from the other side of the flames as JR and Aeros circled around snarling darkly at one another.

JR lunged first, breaking every rule he ever taught as his goliath fist slammed into Aeros’ chin with thunderous crack as his right knee slammed into his stomach, sending Aeros tumbling backwards in a heap of flailing limbs.

“That was for your “Daughter”.” JR snarled darkly as Aeros snapped his eyes up to him with a dark smirk as he swiped the blood from his mouth.

“I was wondering what happened to her. Oh, well.” He shrugged with no care as he stood, cracking his neck with a hollowed click as he lunged back at JR.

JR blocked each punch, deflecting the forward kick with his forearm as he slammed his left elbow into his Aeros’ sternum, upper cutting with a clothesline.

The flames flickered as JR landed another goliath fist into Aeros’ stomach, spewing blood from his mouth as his body lifted from the ground with a loud swoosh of air.

Aeros laughed with a gargle as his claws latched onto JR ribcage, ripping flesh as he yanked back with a dark chuckle.

“You got more balls this time around.” Aeros laughed darkly as he spit another wad of bloody mucus from his mouth as JR shook off the bloody ooze that seeped freely from his ribcage.

“Byron.” Max spoke lowly.

“Next flicker of the flames, rush. Got that?” Max commanded as I nodded to his statement, feeling Storm gearing up to unleash his fury as movement caught my eye.

Lea shifted slowly as she placed her hand on Mei, crying silently as the tears flickered against the blue hues of the flames.

“Demi-god.” Max spoke proudly as his eyes slide to me with a smirk.

I wanted to scoop her into my arms and comfort her, but Aeros needed to be dealt with first. Storm paced wildly as JR continued his barge of punches and kicks as Lea looked up to seeing me and Mam trapped in the smaller ring of flames as her body began to shake with a glowing wave of white flames.

Loud guttural roaring erupted from the skies as black flames consumed the entire field, setting every last “Hunter” a blaze as the black flames blanketed over us,

extinguishing the blue flames. Quickly patting down the black flames that scorched what little clothing was left on our bodies as Lea smirked with a deathly glow in her eye.

“ABOUT FUCKING TIME ONYX!” Kolt shouted into the air as another roar erupted from the heavens as a beautiful, purple iridescent dragon lunged violently towards the field aiming for Aeros.

“TOO SLOW!” Aeros boomed as his blue flames engulfed him in a barrier as Onyx appeared with glowing purple-emerald eyes as her silvery-purple hair danced seductively with each stride.

“ONYX!” We exhaled as her smirk lifted into a sinister smile.

Rushing to Lea and Mei as Onyx slammed her hand through the blue flames, gripping Aeros by his neck.

“Lea.” I exhaled as I checked her over, feeling the twins squirming wildly as her jaded hazel eyes held mine in a trance, touching my face with her soft warm hand.

“It’s Time.” She spoke softly as she laid her hand on her mother’s wound, glowing a beautiful, ghostly white as Mei glowed a soft golden-white.

Onyx held Aeros in the air, snarling a dark guttural roar as Lea began to pulsate with spiritual energy as the battlefield sparkled with flashes of white light.

“HOLY SHIT!” Everyone shouted in unison as the battlefield pulsated.
