Chapter 99 Chapter 99
Chapter 99 Chapter 99
Aaron's POV
“It's good to hear it's mutual,” She muttered and formed a forced smile across her lips that I could tell from.
“I'm always at your service,” I pretended with a bow and chuckled.
“You might want to drink your tea before it gets cold.”
“I said I don't want to.” She snapped.
“I understand that it's your hormones working, but can you for once learn how to control them, or I might just end up losing myself,” I seethed.
“No hormones, I don't have an appetite. Let me go, Aaron!” She shouted almost immediately.
“I should have just tied your mouth.” I gritted, but she didn't budge. Obviously, those damn hormones of hers.
Seriously, why are women so difficult to deal with?
“Let me go, Aaron. I beg of you. I need to go back home... E-Everyone must be looking for me... Let my Mom go...” She pleaded with teary eyes.
“Oh, Laura. You never learn, do you?” I retorted with a question and leaned closer to give her a light stroke on the hair and she sniffled.
“You are my bait, and until when everything has been achieved in my court, it's either you're useful to me or you are as good as useless.” I enunciated each word without an ounce of pity, and I felt her shiver.
She glanced up and our eyes met. “You'll kill me?”
I sighed, and smirked. “Only if you lead me to. Don't you think it'll be easy, starting with your Mom?” I asked, leaning back.
“Aaron! Don't!”
“You've been held captive and yet, you aren't devastated? I must comment, you're strong indeed.” I sneered, and then I made the mistake of staring down at her lips.
Christ, was this what that bastard enjoys?
Despite her state, Laura Karma still looked beautiful, like how I've always known her to be. Despite her two cheeks which were starting to get fat and her curves were revealing, I didn't know when I started leaning in until she asked. “What are you doing?” She blinked, and I paused.
“How about I have a taste?” I whispered.
“Get away from me, Aaron!”
Dammit. My mood was ruined.
I waved it off with a light chuckle. “You got me there, didn't you?” I leaned away, dipping my hands into my pants pocket.
“What were you trying to do?”
“Drink before the tea gets cold. I have other things to attend to.” I flashed a small smile at her and she scoffed.
“You still aren't going to release me, are you?” She asked.
“Um, I don't think so...”
“Then at least don't hurt my Mom, please...”
“Let's see how it goes... Laura Karma,” With that being said, I turned my back fully on her before exiting the room.
“Get me a cup of milk, Frank!” I half yelled from the hallway as I strolled towards Laura's mother room.
She flinched, knowing it was me, and I couldn't help but snort. Soon, Frank walked right in with a cup of milk and left.
“Here,” I said, stretching out the cup of milk to the woman who stared at me as if her eyes were worthy to shoot a person dead.
Seeing she was reluctant, I drew my hand back to my sides and I sighed with a low groan.
“Now I see where Laura's stubborn heredity is coming from. You aren't stubborn, aren't you?”
“If you are in her position... Will you let your mother be in this situation?” She countered with a question. Anger suddenly surged through me as I gripped the cup tightly.
“If I were you, I'd watch my words right now...” I warned.
”Do I really look like I care if you kill me right now? I've heard enough...” She paused and sniffed. “I've received enough, and for the first time since I was held hostage, I saw my daughter...” Instantly, a frown contorted on her face. “But what did you do? You held her hostage as well. Which mother would be proud of you, if you were her son?!”
Fuck it!
“I'm only letting this slide because Laura pleaded on your behalf. Watch your mouth, fragile woman, you are too good to be killed easily.” I mused as a smirk crept up on my lips.
“Kill me already! Kill me already if you are not going to get me out of here!”
“The nerve...” I cursed with the remaining patience left me, and before I could pull myself together, I splashed the cup of milk on her face, causing her to gasp.
A one that told how shocked she was, and I couldn't stop myself from grinning. “I warned you to watch it, woman. This is merely a little if you don't watch it.” I retorted and turned to leave, leaving her to soothe herself.
Walking out of the house, I was interrupted by a sudden buzz sound on my phone, and it was a message of one of my boys.
“Her sister would soon be back home from school, Boss. Should we handle her?” Came the text message.
But I was too busy to head out, than reply.
After pulling up in a parking lot admist a school premises, I strolled towards the particular spot my boys gave to me of where a young high school girl always do stand for cars.
Bea's sister.
Fortunately, I wore a face cap plus a pair of jeans, so it wasn't easy to locate me.
“Hey, little girl-” I called in the most soothing way ever as she looked up at me. Her eyes were emerald with a pair of glasses, her lips flushed, and her hair braided.
“Hi.”
“What can a beautiful girl like you be doing outside?” I asked in the politest way ever.
“My sister is supposed to pick me up.” She mumbled.
“That's not a big issue because she sent me to pick you up, little girl.” I slurred.
She stared at me in bewilderment, but then her lips curled into a smile.
“Really? She sent you to do that?” She squealed excitedly, and I nodded. “Yes... Of course.”,
“But... It is weird that Aunt Bea sent you to come pick me up. She usually does it herself. Mind calling her?” She asked.
“No... i don't think that would be necessary. Bea is a busy woman and a PA, she probably won't answer her call if busy at work. Rest and assured that I will never hurt you, or put you in a place.” I assured her.
After what looked like forever, she nodded and a squealed. “Yes. Let's go ”
“Nice.” I mumbled.
“Thank you,” She managed me a smile as we walked away from the driveway.
“Do you have any idea what my sister might be doing right now?” She inquired.
“Work. She's busy, why work.”
“What's your name, little girl?” I added when we got to the entrance door as I made sure nobody was nearby. Luckily, it was a small house enough to contain up to three others.
“Rachel. I'm Rachel,” She flashed me a cute smile, but then she paused like she'd remembered whatever it was that she lost.
“Didn't you say you're my driver? You're walking me to the door”, She blurted, and it soon dawned on her.
“Is one permitted not to get into the house? I just wanted to know you more... I seemed drawn to you from the onset.”
Dammit! I was bad at making comments, and I didn't know how much longer I would be able to keep this up.
“Not really. I was just curious... You see, there's been different cases of getting robbed, and I wouldn't want to experience it. ” She pouted, granting me access to the small living room.
“What do you need me to offer you, Sir?” She inquired, scurrying to my side.
“Only a cup of brewed coffee will be enough.” I replied, she nodded and scurried away again. My eyes trailed the pictures and artworks on the wall.
Bea was an artist?
This wouldn't be how I planned it, but I knew I was heading there soon... Either ways.
I didn't realize I was already striding the hallway till I got to a particular room that was filled with designs, a teddy bear, and other things... No one needed to tell me that it was Bea's room.
Bea was going to be the ultimate key to Eric's company. She was going to serve a different purpose to bring down her very own boss.
“S-Sir... What are you doing here?” I heard Rachel's voice from behind and immediately, I turned to see her at the door with a cup of coffee, her eyes pierced into mine that I thought of the perfect lie to give.
“Um, I was just checking out things, Rachel. There's nothing really going on,” I waved it off and walked past her as she trailed behind me. As we walked, the sound of a car arriving was heard.
“That must be my sister!”
Rachel hasn't finished speaking when the entrance door bursted open and Bea walked in but halted in her tracks almost immediately. Beads if sweats masking her body like she'd just ran an Olympic race.
“M-Mr Aaron?”
“Good evening to you too, Bea.”
