Mara's point of view

My body ached I had shifted back in my human form. My legs burned scratches graced my inner thighs. Blood covered every inch of my body. The blood wasn't my own but my mates. His scent still lingered on me. My wolf was in despair I called to her but she was silent. My blonde hair stuck to the sides of my face drenched in sweat. My bare skin exposed to any wondering eyes and my wolf unable to protect me I was now an easy target.

It was a full moon tonight. The moon overpowered the forest floor. I often wondered if the Moon Goddess hated me as much as I hated myself. It was true I was lost and I only had my mother to thank for that the wounds she inflicted on me. I was still the same child she had left at that brothel with the man who would raise me. My heart ached for her to come back for me. Eleven years I would spend with that man, terrified of what else he might do to me. I often wondered why I wasn't good enough for her. If only she could see me now, the monster she created. For the child she once knew was gone she died at that brothel that day.

Coming up to a small village. The crystal lights lite the way. It was a quite little town. It smelled of human I didn't detect any werewolves here. I slowly crept to a white little picket fenced house. Making my way up to the clothing line in the yard I snatched a shirt off the line. It was baggy ending at my knee caps. It wasn't much but it would do for the spair moment. I heaved a sigh ready to continue my journey back to Callum.

Stopping in my tracks I froze. A older lady stood in the middle of the yard peering at me. She held the same color eyes as my own those silver almost bluish eyes depending on the angle. Tears flowed from her eyes the gentle breeze blowing her chestnut brown hair.

I slowly backed a way from her. However, every step back I took she would take two more. She slowly whispered to me " Mara." Her lips trembled she slowly wiped the tears from her face. She had confirmed everything she was infact my mother afterall, a mother never forgets her child " Look at you look how you grown. A beautiful woman you've become." She began to circle me like a hawk in the night sky.

I shook my head " I must go." I've spent years wondering if our paths ever crossed what would I say to the woman that once abandoned me. But truth of the matter is I had nothing to say to her. If truth betold I wish to not breath the same air as her.

She took one step in front of me begging not to go " Mara please try to understand. Atleast come inside your covered in blood atleast let me clean you up and cook you a warm meal." She held to my arm pleading with me to stay. " Please Mara I wish for you to meet your siblings."

My heart burned I had siblings she had sought to replace Callum and I. I tugged my arm away " Why?" I couldn't help my voice from cracking it pained me that my other half siblings got the better version of my mother. The one I wished to have.

Taking a deep breath she finally spoke " I've changed I am a better person now. I've healed and I long to make this right Mara."

I shook my head once more " You left Callum and I to defend for ourselves you never came back for us."

As hearing Callum's name her ears perked up before leaning back. " Callum my first born son. I didn't know you've met him."

" He was the one who saved me when you failed to."

Gulping " How is Callum doing these days?"

" He's an alpha now. He did it all no thanks to you because you weren't there. If only Jed knew what kind of woman laid beside him at night."

She looked at me shock lay across her face " Callum's been keeping tabs on you. He knows everything about you."

" So you knew I was here the entire time?"

" No not of your location only of Jed and the other children you brought into this world."
Silence broke out between us before I continued " Does Jed know about the children you left behind. Does he know the monster that he had married maybe I should go wake him up and expose you for what you really are mother." The word Mother felt so foreign in my mouth like poison on the tip of my tongue.

She heaved a sigh " He knows about you and Callum."

My heart began to race " Of course he does. So it was his idea to keep you away for as long as you did."

She shook her head " No He encouraged me to go and find the two of you and bring you home. So we could be a family. I was just so frightened I thought too much time had passed that you didn't want to speak with me."

My heart stopped I could have been home with my mother this whole time only she kept fear from seeing me again. I couldn't help the laugh that escaped my mouth " I lived in constant fear with the men you had left me with." I held my hands on my head continuing to laugh before my smile faded and my laugh died out. My hands falling back to my side " What do you think those men did to me. I want you to look me in my eyes and tell me in grave detail what those men did to me."
