Chapter 357: Truly Unbelievable (Part 2)
Just as Alison was about to touch the photos.
She turned her head, and froze — it was Gabriel, the last person she expected.
“Sit down. Behave yourself in front of Mr. Bruce.”
His tone was cold, detached — exactly like the first time they’d met.
His words sent her into a rage.
“Gabriel, you… you bastard…” she screamed, swinging her hand at his face.
The slap cracked across his cheek, snapping his head aside.
He grabbed her wrist and flung her backward — she landed hard on the carpet.
Sitting on the carpet with tears streaming down her face, she instinctively caressed her belly, praying silently that the baby inside her was unharmed.
They’d been fine only hours ago — Gabriel’s sudden hostility left Pierre speechless.
He hurried forward and lifted her by the shoulders.
“Sir, are you all right?” Gabriel asked, collecting the scattered photos and returning them to Matthew without emotion.
Pierre finally caught sight of the pictures — unmistakably, they were of Alison.
Matthew ignored him, flipping through the stack until he located the one of Manager Foster.
He stared at the bespectacled woman’s face, his expression tightening into thought.
“Sir, do you know the woman in this photo?” Gabriel asked.
“No. Have you checked her background?” Matthew replied, shaking his head slowly.
“I did. Her résumé is clean; there’s nothing suspicious. She’s worked at YD since graduating.”
“Is she backed by anyone from the Winston family?” Matthew pressed.
“Nothing came up. She’s extremely cautious. There are no obvious flaws. Honestly, when I first identified her, I was also surprised. But on that day, she was the only one who entered YD’s server room.”
Alison listened intently and a spark of realization struck — Gabriel was protecting her, disguising it as obedience.
“Have someone follow her. Find out who she regularly associates with.” Matthew rubbed his temples with a deep frown.
“Sir, I’ve already assigned personnel to shadow her around the clock. Any suspicious activity will be reported immediately. We’ll get to the bottom of this,” Gabriel reported.
“Gabriel, you’re doing well. But I don’t believe this woman is the mastermind. There must be others behind her,” Matthew spoke coldly, tearing the photo cleanly in half with a sharp rip.
After handling the matter, he finally looked up at Alison.
“Alison, did you just ask me about your photo?”
His gaze was sharp, and the chill of it ran down her spine.
“Yes.” She nodded, her voice trembling.
“The photos were posted on major websites this afternoon. Do you want to see them now?”
Alison’s face instantly drained of color.
She forced herself to stay composed despite the terror rising in her chest.
“Yes, I want–now. Pierre, please let go of me,” she replied, struggling to free herself from Pierre’s grip.
Confused, Pierre caught her again, holding her tightly against him.
“Alison, tell me—the photos you mentioned, are they the ones my father was holding?” he asked.
Alison’s cheeks flushed instantly as she replied, “Yes, they are.”
“All right, I’ll take you to the study. You can check there,” he added.
If his father had truly leaked those nude photos, it would be catastrophic — Alison might already be the laughingstock of the entire city.
