Chapter 291: Take Your Pick (Part 2)
The thugs behind the man rushed forward, dragging Alison from him.
After a full minute of struggling, they finally pried his arm free from her teeth. When they pulled her off, his arm was shredded and slick with blood.
“Damn it, you shameless bitch! You ask for it!” the man screamed, lunging forward again.
Blinking as clarity returned, she turned to a nearby waiter and said,
“I’m a VIP here. This man is harassing me. You should protect me.”
Flustered, the waiter looked toward Gabriel for help — everyone knew the man attacking her had ties to the Polar Bear Alliance.
Yet Gabriel ignored the chaos; his gaze never leaving the stage as he said flatly,
“Ryan, handle this.”
“Yes, Gabriel.” The subordinate responded, turning toward Edward, who was about to assault Alison.
“Edward, this is Gabriel’s turf. You’d better watch where you are. If you want the woman, wait until she leaves. Don’t sully Gabriel’s territory. It won’t end well for anyone.”
“So, if I take her outside, I can do whatever I want?” Edward asked.
“Whatever you want,” Ryan replied.
Edward waved his hand, signaling his men to drag Alison away.
Two men immediately hauled her toward the exit of Rebel.
Regret clawed at her chest. Jack was gone. Colton was gone. Liam, too — there was no one left to call.
The pounding bass drowned her screams.
As she passed Gabriel, she shouted instinctively,
“Gabriel… Save me!”
Gabriel spoke without haste.
“Ryan, keep this woman away from me. What a jinx.”
“You…” His cold voice shattered the last thread of hope in her chest.
Her body was dragged toward the door while the crowd at Rebel watched coldly.
Some even whistled and jeered,
“Take her right here, right now, Edward!”
“It’s better in the car…” Edward chuckled and yanked her toward the exit.
Meanwhile, Ryan hurriedly reported,
“Gabriel, Edward’s gone.”
“Mhm,” Gabriel responded indifferently.
His expression didn’t change; his gaze lingered lazily on the dancer twisting under the lights. He said,
“Don’t let him cause a fatality here. Otherwise, I won’t let him in again.”
Suddenly, a bloodthirsty gleam flashed in his eyes.
He clenched his fist, and the glass cup shattered into shards, scattering across the table.
Over the past few months, he had emerged as a formidable figure within the Polar Bear Alliance.
He’d once saved Matthew’s life — now, no one in the Alliance dared cross him.
“All right, I’ll handle it.” Ryan took two men outside.
Gabriel’s stance was clear — he wouldn’t intervene as long as no one died.
After all, Edward was Pierre’s man, and Gabriel owed him respect.
Alison was thrown and slammed hard against a car.
The pain of flesh colliding with metal ripped through her ribs, stealing her breath.
She had clearly seen Gabriel’s face — he wasn’t Jack.
Sliding off the car, the pain made her teeth chatter, yet her eyes scanned the area for an escape route.
Her gaze fell on the parked car only about five steps away.
As one man stepped out to open the door for his companion, Alison bolted — the driver’s side was still open.
By the time the man and his companion exited the vehicle, she had already gotten in.
Edward’s men hadn’t expected her sudden move.
By the time they reacted, she had already pulled away several steps.
The moment she started the engine, they reacted.
Three cars closed in from the front and rear, rapidly closing the gap on her.
Her hands trembled on the wheel — the lot was nearly empty, and her inexperience betrayed her. In seconds, they boxed her in.
Metal screamed as they rammed her. Her forehead struck the steering wheel with a sickening thud.
