Chapter 210: So Beautiful
Warm water flowed over her body, soothing Alison. Yet, the scent of their recent intimacy lingered.
The water and earlier pleasure left her utterly limp.
Jack wiped her skin, still warm from lovemaking. Before long, she felt his stirring arousal again. She suddenly stood up, trying to escape.
Jack asked, “Alison, what are you doing?”
She dared not turn back. She never imagined he would be ready again so quickly.
“Jack, go find other women.”
“But there’s only you right here.” He smiled, having already guessed her thoughts.
“No.” She tried to step out of the tub.
His arm shot out and pulled her back into his embrace. He seated her on his lap again.
“Alison, are you jealous?” he asked.
He chuckled, enjoying her reaction.
“No… no…” She squirmed in the water, trying to break free.
“Really?” He turned her around.
Their eyes locked; his intense gaze demanded an answer.
“No,” she stammered.
“Fine. Then I’ll bring Leah back for dinner tomorrow.” He grinned, with a hint of mischief in his eyes.
She instantly saw through his teasing. “Jack! If you dare bring Leah back, I’ll really ignore you—and kill you!”
It was the first time she’d spoken so plainly; the threat held no playfulness.
“Really?” His smile grew brighter.
“Yes.”
He cupped her face. He gazed at her for a long moment before speaking. “All right, I’ll just kiss you. Is that okay?”
“You jerk!” she yelled, swinging her fist again.
Laughter and the slap of water echoed through the bathroom. Jack enjoyed her blows, letting her vent.
She grew tired as she hit him, her fists losing strength. Suddenly, he pulled her close.
In an instant she was pressed against him, straddling his lap.
The warmth beneath her sent shockwaves through her body, and panic fluttered in her ribs. He held her waist tightly, pinning her in place.
“Alison, once again,” he murmured.
“You…” She was speechless. “Please let me go. I’m exhausted.”
All she wanted was to lie down and sleep soundly.
“Good girl. Just hold me tight. You won’t get tired,” he said, low and coaxing.
“Ugh…” Her heart raced; she held him close.
In the bathroom, the sound of running water mingled with his rhythmic thrusts, creating a private, urgent music.
She could hear her own heart racing.
“Sweetheart, don’t move. Just rest your head on my shoulder. Sleep if you’re tired,” he murmured.
How could I sleep? You are still inside.
She lay on her stomach as he instructed, hoping he’d finish quickly. She was utterly exhausted.
In the bathtub, Jack made love to her again — steady, sure, claiming her with a tenderness that burned. He moved with a patience that was almost ruthless in its devotion.
Finally, she collapsed, limp in his arms. She let him wash and dry her, and he carried her to the oversized round bed.
The lights were dimmed, and the quiet night seemed to beckon her to sleep.
“Alison, don’t sleep yet. I want to show you something. Just one look.”
“No, I won’t look,” she murmured.
“You’ll regret it if you don’t,” he coaxed.
She grumbled, “I won’t regret it.”
“Fine, I’ll look myself.” He touched the bedside switch. Instantly a fresh, natural breeze accompanied the air that flowed into the room.
“Alison, look at the stars!”
“Stars?” She opened her eyes in confusion and was stunned by the sight before her.
Looking up, she saw the real night sky. Jack had installed a huge skylight in the ceiling.
Countless stars twinkled, instantly banishing all traces of sleepiness. She gazed at the night sky in delight, while he lay quietly beside her.
She felt it was a dream.
In the darkness, she reached for his hand and clasped it. Deeply moved, she cherished this gift.
Her grip tightened until he murmured, “Nervous again?”
“No, I’m not.”
“Good. Do you like it here?”
“Yes.”
“Then this will be your room from now on, okay?”
“Okay.” Alison agreed without hesitation.
