Chapter 202: Ruining the Plan
Alison gently pushed Aidan away. “I need to see Jack, Aidan.”
“Alison, you—” Aidan met her gaze – — frail but unwavering.
He shook his head and released her.
Alison turned in Jack’s direction, waiting to tell him everything.
Jack witnessed every ounce of her struggle and effort.
The sting of her slap still lingered on across his face, but now all the pain vanished.
He pushed past others and rushed straight toward Alison.
“Alison, you don’t look well.”
“Jack, I—” She felt overwhelming happiness.
“Alison, you’re trembling. What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell? Go to the hospital first? We can talk then.” He looked at her with concern, his heart twisting.
“Okay, let’s leave here. Take the kids—”
“Shut up, Alison! How dare you?” Before she could finish, Aimée stormed in, clutching her belly – — her only leverage to threaten Jack.
Alison ground her teeth and looked fiercely at her. “Why? Aimée, so what can you do to me?”
She was determined to expose Aimée’s despicable actions, wanting to save Jack from hell.
“Alison, you’re so slutty, you don’t remember who you slept with, Jack or Aidan? Are you desperate for the Winston family to descend into chaos? Do you want to watch the brothers fight over you?” Aimée exposed her nature and screamed.
Alexander could no longer sit idly by, utterly disillusioned by what he saw. He picked up his cane and told the driver beside him, “Let’s go.”
“Yes, sir,” the driver replied.
Alexander turned to leave, cane in hand.
Isabella panicked and hurried after him. “Dad, please stay a little longer. These are just minor issues and will be resolved soon.”
Alexander didn’t turn around.
“Fine, enjoy it by yourself.” With that, he left.
Isabella was furious. Aimée’s earlier behavior had disappointed her, leaving her humiliated. She could only watch helplessly as the guests in the hall left. Those who remained sat, waiting to watch the spectacle unfold.
A thunderclap echoed in Isabella’s mind. Alison, you slut! I must teach you a lesson.
“Alison, let’s go.” Jack said, pulling her along.
“Wait! Jack, do you think you are her only lover? She’s just playing games.” Aimée pulled a stack of photos from her handbag.
Jack instinctively looked at the photos — Aidan was on his knees, kissing Alison.
His mind buzzed. No, it’s not real.
He turned to Alison and demanded, “What the hell is going on here?”
Alison was confused. She opened her mouth but couldn’t utter a word.
Aidan had always been polite to her. He had never kissed her, but these photos…
“Jack, let her keep deceiving you? Come on! Our wedding is halfway over. Just hold on a little longer, and our child can be a legitimate member of the Winston family. Do you want him to be mocked as a bastard?” Aimée was desperate, trying to salvage the wedding.
“No, Jack, I truly didn’t do that.” Alison was flustered.
“Jack, I don’t know what happened in the past, but I know she’s always loved someone silently. That’s why she rejected me multiple times. Nothing ever happened between us. Those photos show me giving her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation after she collapsed outside KFC.”
