Chapter 201: You’ve Drunk Too Much (Part 2)
Sophia is fine! She isn’t in Aimée’s hands.
Fine, Aimée, you backstabber! I won’t let you win.
Jack hesitated. He took the ring out of the box stiffly, his hand froze in mid-air, refusing to bring it to Aimée for a long time.
The pastor coughed lightly to cover up the silence, declaring, “Please exchange your”
Before he could finish, Alison’s voice echoed loudly through the hall. “Wait!”
Her voice snapped Jack back. He turned, gazing at Alison. His eyes shifted from blank to.
“Miss, what are you doing?” The pastor was puzzled.
The silence covered the church. Every pair of eyes focused on Alison.
“Alison.” Aidan and Rock called out in unison.
Alison ignored them, stepping toward Jack. Tears were streaming down her face. She recalled the slap she gave him a stabbing ache in her chest.
“Alison, what are you doing?” Jack finally asked, his eyes flashing.
Without hesitation, she reached out a hand toward him.
Forgive me, please.
She gazed at him with hope. Shedding all pretense, she felt a real ease.
Ignoring the gazes, Alison said, “Jack, I have something to tell you.”
The sudden change left Jack confused. He could sense something must have happened to Alison.
He shifted his feet slightly.
This movement drew the guests’ attention, and the church erupted into a buzz of commotion.
“Jack, where are you going?” Aimée whispered, panic rising within her. Her face turned gloomy as Alison had interrupted at this critical moment.
“Aimée, I need to ask Alison something.” As he spoke and turned toward Alison, the weight in his chest lifted. No longer like a puppet being manipulated, he could act as he wanted.
“Jack, can you wait until after the ceremony?” Aimée pleaded.
Once it was over, everything would be settled.
“Quick, get that woman out of here,” Isabella called out. She would never allow Alison to ruin her son’s marriage.
Security guards rushed toward Alison, grabbed her arms, and pulled her away.
Alison struggled fiercely. “Let me go! I have something to tell Jack!”
Ignoring Aimée, Jack leaped down the steps and rushed toward Alison.
Before Aimée could stop him, Isabella scolded, “Jack, stop right there!”
Then she turned to the officiant and said, “The ceremony will resume shortly. Please proceed to dinner.”
The officiant finally snapped back to reality. It was the first time he had encountered a wedding interrupted twice during the ceremony.
Isabella walked toward Alison and coldly instructed the security guard, “Take her away.”
Meanwhile, Aimée discreetly signaled her mother to block Jack, preventing him from reaching Alison.
Jack watched helplessly as Alison was dragged toward the exit.
Aidan couldn’t bear to let Alison be mistreated. He growled, “Stop it!”
“Aidan, this is none of your business. I’ll handle it.” Isabella’s displeasure deepened with Aidan’s meddling.
“Isabella, Alison has something important to tell Jack. Please let her speak.”
“She’s here to make trouble. What is so important? Can’t she wait until Jack’s wedding is over?”
“Fine, Isabella, even so, you can’t just have them drag her out.” Aidan lost his temper and shoved aside the security guard.
Intimidated by his forceful stance, the two security guards released their grip.
Alison swayed slightly; her body was weak from exhaustion, sustained only by the belief that she must take Ethan and Sophia’s father back.
Aidan rushed to steady her. “Alison, are you okay?”
