Chapter 125: Don’t Let Her Leave (Part 2)

Chapter 125 Not Allowing Her to Leave (Part 2)

She tried hard to forget the vivid red lipstick mark she had seen earlier, knowing that thinking about nothing was the only way to find happiness. He kissed her gently, starting from her forehead, then moving to her earlobes, savoring each spot, making her shiver slightly.

She wished so much that she was the only woman in his world, but she knew it was just an unrealistic fantasy. The reality was, he was never short of women around him, and she was just one insignificant character among them, as if she was nothing.

However, in her life, he was the only man she had been intimate with. Now, she had nowhere to escape and could only surrender herself completely to him. Everything flowed slowly in that enchanting atmosphere.

She wondered if he was only after her body. Since he was never short of women, why was he so persistent with her?

It was like the moment Adam gave Eve the apple, desire became natural, and reason couldn't stop it.

Oh, he mistook her for another woman again. Even though she felt and acted nothing like Emily, he was convinced she was. Now, apart from the memories in his mind causing trouble, no one could give a clear answer.

The dishes she cooked were as delicious as that woman's. Was it just a coincidence? But her thoughts stopped there because he was now entirely focused on having her.

"Alison, do you like it?" he asked softly, for some reason wanting to bring her joy, to make her fall in love with his body and what he gave, so she could never leave him. But as soon as this thought crossed his mind, he was terrified. Oh God, how could he have such a thought again? A woman with this face, she didn't deserve it.

He let out a low growl, leaning over her, listening to their breaths in the quiet night, as if writing a romantic scene, as if hearing the sound of flowers blooming. She breathed in the scent of pleasure in the darkness, feeling the man's presence, her heart slowly calming down from the passion, yet still in turmoil.

Everything was so chaotic, she didn't know how to face it. The clock on the wall ticked, and hearing this sound, she suddenly realized it was very late.

She opened her mouth, wanting to break the silence except for their breathing, but found it difficult. But she had to leave; she had a gig at Rebel tonight.

She moved slightly, "Jack, I want to..."

"What do you want? Do you still want me?" he interrupted her, deliberately using these words to tease her heart.

His face brushed lightly against her short hair, "Speak." Her hair smelled so good.

"Jack, I have an appointment tonight, I want to leave, okay?" she pleaded with him pitifully, not used to being late and never being a person who was late.

"No."

"But you said..." But she had only said four words when he turned her head and sealed her lips with a fierce kiss, stopping her from speaking.

The kiss almost suffocated her.

He gradually moved away from her during the kiss, then gently guided her to lie comfortably on the soft pillow. As his tongue teased hers, he murmured in her ear, "Tonight, I want you to stay."

"No... No, you promised me, you said you'd let me go after we were done."

Her small hands pushed against his chest, speaking quickly. She really wanted to leave.

In the darkness, he smiled wickedly. "So, you won't leave until we're done?"

"Ah..." His question made her panic. It meant he was going to continue what he was doing.

"Jack, I really have something to do tonight."

Jack raised an eyebrow. "Your kid should be asleep by now, right? What do you have to do so late?" His words carried a hint of jealousy, though he didn't realize it.

"Jack, I really have to go." She breathed in the air with his scent, trying to convince him to let her go.

"Then I'll take you." He actually stood up, planning to let her go.

But as soon as he said he would take her, she panicked inside.

A place like Rebel, she couldn't let him know about it.

"Jack, I have to go work a part-time job tonight." She told the truth, hoping it would make him drop his suspicions.

"Part-time job? You need money? Didn't I just give you one hundred and twenty thousand?" He propped his arms on either side of her, staring at her in the darkness, trying to see something.

"Yes, I need money." She could only say this. She couldn't tell him she stayed at Rebel to find out the truth about what happened back then. She had confirmed from the conversations between Manager Eva and Liam that there was something wrong with Rebel. She couldn't give up easily.

Hearing this, he leaned over, opened the drawer of the bedside table, took out a stack of hundred-dollar bills, and threw them in front of her. "Alison, is this enough for your part-time job tonight?"

The bills fell on her, making her feel both embarrassed and blushing. Her heart felt empty. She said softly, "Jack, you're so cruel."

She had to face him nakedly. He was like her curse; she couldn't escape.

This was the first time Alison had accused him like this.

"You're so cruel." Those four words made him suddenly realize something was wrong with him.

Sometimes gentle, sometimes cruel. Was this really him?

He looked at the woman in the darkness, knowing she wasn't that woman, but he couldn't help but treat her as if she was.

He shouldn't be like this, shouldn't be indulging in the past. But those three months with Emily, her gentleness, her cooking, everything was deeply imprinted in his mind, unable to be erased.

It was sweet, but also poison, making him deeply entangled, love and hate intertwined, yet unable to extricate himself.

No, he had to calm down. He couldn't keep treating this woman as Emily.

"Get out!" he growled lowly, wishing he could slap himself. What was wrong with him? Had that woman cast a spell on him?
