Chapter 124 Not Allowing Her to Leave (Part 1)
"What’s on your mind?" His lips were about to touch hers, his handsome face full of desire. Suddenly, she pulled away. She couldn’t bear the thought of those lips, which had kissed other women, touching her now.
"Are you backing out? I already lent you the money!" He was visibly angry, clearly displeased with her resistance.
She immediately realized her mistake. After all, she had promised to be at his beck and call. She had sought him out this time; she couldn’t back out now.
"Jack, why don’t you take a shower first? I’ll wait for you," she gently coaxed, trying to calm his anger. She didn’t want any more complications. Things were already messy enough. She just wanted to get it over with and leave quietly, go home to take care of her child, and then head to Rebel.
Besides, once he showered, the scent of other women on him would be less noticeable. She really didn’t like those smells.
He held her tightly. "I want you to shower with me."
"I’ve already showered. I’ll go make the bed," she said softly, trying to soothe him. She had actually showered before cooking. Though another shower wouldn’t hurt, she was terrified of being naked with him in the bathroom.
"Then go get the agreement from the drawer and sign it. I’ll go shower," he directed, pointing to the drawer.
"Alright." She knew she couldn’t avoid it. A promise was a promise.
She took the agreement he had prepared from the drawer, glanced at it briefly, and signed her name. The agreement made her feel uneasy.
She turned off the lights in the room. Only in the dark did she feel safe.
Lying under the sheets in her pajamas, she heard the sound of running water. Jack was showering.
Time seemed to rewind to the first time she lay in this bed, and that same anxious feeling washed over her.
Every time she met him, she felt flustered and uneasy.
The water stopped, and his footsteps grew closer.
He stood by the bed, his presence enveloping her. This night was destined to be another night of pure desire.
This night was destined to be devoid of love.
He didn’t love her.
She kept wondering if the lipstick mark on his chest had been washed off. The thought made her want to escape from Jack.
The man sat on the bed and then lay down beside her. She could hear his breathing and smell the mix of cologne and body wash. His arm casually draped over her waist. "Alison, do you not like me having other women?" He seemed to have figured something out. He had seen the lipstick mark while showering and recalled her change in demeanor from the restaurant to the bedroom. He had a hunch.
"No," she lied. In truth, she cared a lot.
"Good. Tomorrow, I’ll bring Leah over, and you two can both take care of me," he said nonchalantly, as if it were just a game.
Alison gripped the sheets tightly. She couldn’t imagine being with another woman in this bed with him.
"Jack, I don't mind you having other women, but I'm not used to... three people together..." Thankfully, it was dark, or she wouldn't have had the courage to say it.
"Haha, you'll get used to it. They all did..."
Alison couldn't listen anymore.
She had heard too many rumors about his affairs.
But she preferred to believe they were just flings, so she didn't want to hear it directly from him. She turned over and impulsively kissed him, silencing him.
This way, he couldn't continue to embarrass her.
In front of a man who didn't love her, a woman was often just a plaything.
Besides that, she felt worthless in front of Jack, as if she were just a mere toy.
She kissed him, their second intimate moment in four years. She kissed him earnestly and intently. Her inexperience was still evident, but this kiss unexpectedly touched Jack's heart.
He was about to enter into marriage, a result of his mother's pressure. However, when he saw Aimée's joy after finding out she was pregnant and his mother's hopeful gaze, his heart softened, and he agreed to the marriage.
But deep down, he wasn't happy. He suddenly realized what he was longing for—Alison's gentle touch and sweet kisses.
Aimée sat on the bed, casually kissing his chest. As she unbuttoned his shirt, he snapped out of his daze. He remembered that there was someone waiting for him in the apartment.
He had fallen for Alison's body, maybe because of her face, or maybe not. He just couldn't resist her charm.
When she kissed him willingly, that sweetness ignited his inner desire. In the darkness, he smirked. As long as she was willing, that was enough.
They had signed an agreement, one of the terms being that she had to fulfill her promise before and after his wedding. Three months seemed short to him, but he didn't change his mind or deceive her.
Alison threw herself into the passionate moment, using her tongue and lips to trace his contours. The feeling was intense and wild.
At that moment, she was deeply immersed, unable to extricate herself. Love and desire quietly unfolded, and she closed her eyes, letting go of everything. She did this to fulfill her promise.
She touched him gently, making his blood boil. He thought he could resist her innocent allure, but he quickly gave in, pulling her into his arms and rolling over to pin her beneath him.
"Alison, you're such a little temptress," he murmured, lifting her short hair to his nose, inhaling the intoxicating scent.
"Mmm..." The tender intimacy made her lose herself. She felt so weak, always unable to resist him.
Being with him, that wonderful feeling was indescribable, like a moth drawn to a flame, ready to dive into the river of love and enjoy the unspeakable beauty. As long as there was love, the world became so beautiful.
