Chapter 48 - The Tycoon Alpha's Temptation

ROSE’S POV

Can the ground open up and swallow me?

I was embarrassed to the point where I had to just scowl at Beta Adam. If I didn't glare at Adam, I might start crying due to how embarrassed I was.

“Keep scowling at him. This is his fault “

Cali squealed within me.

“Why are you looking at me like I am the one caught sneaking around?” Beta Adam blurted his disbelief. “I think she is really a spy. Kill her.”

Although Beta Adam stuttered as he ordered the strange figures behind me to kill me. I still didn't take my eyes off Beta Adam. I avoided making eye contact with Alpha King Josh whose anger I could feel regardless of where my eyes were focused.

Alpha King Josh boomed, “Are you insane, Adam!” He also shouted at the figures whose voices I have heard as I hid behind the tree after I realized that there was no woman and this was an important meeting just like Beta Adam had revealed… but he didn't reveal the whole truth.

“No one touches her or harms her.” Alpha King Josh declared and I heard the figures withdrawing their sharp swords. Surprisingly, Alpha King Josh breathed, “She is not a spy.”

I choked on my saliva and emotion when I heard the confidence in his voice. He didn't see me as a spy even though the main reason I was sent into his life was to spy on him and break his defense.

He trusted me just like I had asked him.

My eyes cut to him as tears welled up in my eyes.

However, Alpha King Josh didn't stare back at me. He took his eyes off me and sternly, he said to Beta Adam, “Escort them to a safe place and set another day for the meeting, Adam.”

He also addressed the strange figures who I wanted to believe were special warriors that Alpha King Josh use often but from their conversation, that wasn't true. And I dare not question anyone about these guys.

Alpha King Josh said to them, “Allow me to host you better soon. You can pick a safer location and day. I will see you soon to discuss the terms and I hope you will trust me enough to take off your masks the next time we meet.”

One of the masked figures answered, “Even though your words aren't apologetic, we accept your apology and also look forward to working with you, Alpha King Josh.”

They exchanged a few more words while I remained on my knees and kept staring at Alpha King Josh’s face, hoping that he would spare me a glance.

Adam went down the other path with the hooded and masked figure and I was left alone with Alpha King Josh. That was the moment I hated myself the most.

His voice broke the silence that settled around us, “Rise to your feet.” He ordered with a harsh voice that clearly screamed, “I am disappointed in you, Rose.”

I whimpered, “I am sorry, Alpha King Josh.”

He took slow steps toward me as I apologized again, “I didn't mean to ruin an important business. I was just–”

“You were just jealous and curious, right?” Alpha King Josh asked rhetorically and his tone gave zero clues about his emotion.

Therefore, I didn't know how to respond.

I grunted, “Rise to your feet, Rose.”

“I will remain like this until you forgive me–”

He countered firmly, “Listen to me this once, Rose! Get off your knees because the only place I want to put you in that position is in my room.”

My eyes held his gaze as I gasped. His orbs were darker and I could sense his struggles to balance his emotions.

“My room is where you are allowed to kneel as you take me in your holes.”

He whispered and traced my lips with his fingers. His voice and words created an image in my head and I moaned as I saw myself kneeling before him… Naked and needy for him to drive himself into my wet mouth or juicy core between my legs.

“Alpha King Josh–”

My breath was shallow as I called his name which sounded like another moan.

He seethed, “Don’t call me that or I might lose myself and make you suck me right here and right now.”

I became hot even though the lakeside was naturally cool. I momentarily forgot that I should be apologizing as I let desire take charge of my body.

“Get on your feet, Rose.”

I breathed with a voice that tripled the hotness within me.

I complied though but I didn't break eye contact with him. The moment I was balanced on my feet, he pulled my body into his arms and slowly made me take steps backward.

“I warned you to never make me worry, Rose.” Alpha King Josh muttered and I arched my back, pressing myself into his frame.

“I am sorry…”

I mumbled incoherently, biting my lips to keep myself from releasing another moan. It was sweet but embarrassing. He wasn't even touching me seductively yet I kept moaning. All he did was talk... And I became a damn needy female.

“Although I loved how you became clingy due to jealousy, I still have to punish you for putting yourself in danger just to follow me, Rose. Do you know where this place is?”

I could hear the concern in his voice as he uttered those words to me. I figured this wasn't the right time to tell him that I have spent hours lying by the lakeside and I have also drunk from that lake thanks to Cali…

I would have to wait for the day I would taunt Beta Adam for being scared of such a relaxing lake.

Alpha King Josh whispered with his lips inches away from mine, “I still have to punish you for stalking an Alpha King, Rose.”

His voice sent shivers down my spine just as my back touched the rough stem of a tree. He backed me up against the tree, held my gaze, and waited for my response… Or permission to punish me.

Knowing that he wouldn't hurt me, I permitted, declaring, “Please Punish me sweetly, My King.”

He groaned and claimed my lips sweetly and swiftly. My hands circled his neck as I allowed him to deepen the punishing kiss and I melted into him.

We reconnected as sparks erupted reminding me that this was the second time we claimed each other in the forest.

Quickly, the kiss became heated and all I could do was moan, melt, and murmur silky words of pleasure.

I should get jealous often. Right?
