REALIZATION

**AVA'S POV **

I jumped up and gave the mannequin we used to train in the field. I miss my big bro, but he doesn't care about me. He has neglected me. I have to go back to school. I can't keep being like this. What is wrong with me? Why can't I go back to school?

"I have told you a lot of times, to stop thinking about your dead friend and come back to school. You can't keep punishing yourself for her death. You need to move on with your life." Ivy said.

I sighed and fell on the cold sand, looking up at the sky, "You are right, I am just being naïve. I should go back to school, but it will all remind me of Belle." I said.

"You are so stupid, you can't see that your mom is sad all day because of you. You are the worst daughter a woman could ever have." Ivy remarked.

"Hey! don't insult me. You know what I am going through; training is the only thing that gets her off my mind." I told her.

"All you do all day is train in the night and sleep during the day. It sucks. Your mom is worried that you aren't eating much these days. You are so ungrateful and a bad child!" Ivy snarled.

"Stop it! Don't insult me." I ranted, burning with fury. I don't know what has come over her, but she just finds a reason to insult me all the time. I touched my neck. She is right, I am becoming skinny. I have been so busy grieving Belle that I have forgotten to take care of myself. I am sure her parents have learned how to live without her.

They are the people that are going to be hurt the most because of her death. They literally do everything with her. I am just overreacting. I ran my hands through my hair, allowing the hot tears to flow down my cheek.

I made my sword vanish, rose from the ground, and began walking back home, knowing that I needed to be strong for Belle, and that my life didn't have to become a shambles as a result of her.

"Thank you, Ivy, for knocking some sense into me." I said with a weak smile as I walked down the field. I arrived home and opened my mom's room, looking at her on the bed. I am sorry for making you worried, mom.

I walked into the bathroom and took off my clothes, tossing them to the ground. I switched on the shower and felt the cold water land on my shoulder, I massaged my body with lavender scented soap and lay in my bathtub.

I woke up in the bathtub and stepped out of it. I took my pink robe and tied it around my waist. The day was already bright, and lights were shining into my room, making it beautiful. I opened my closet and took out some casual clothes and put them on. I dashed into the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I didn't need to have another bath, I bathed in the mid morning. I grabbed my backpack and looked inside, and made sure there were books and a pen inside. I would be behind in class.

I walked out of my room and shut the door. I spotted my mom eating on the dining table, she was eating alone. She looked pale and was lost in thought. I crept up to her and hugged her from behind. She smiled and held my hand. I pulled out a chair and sat next to her, looking at the food she was eating.

"This is not fair. Where is mine?" I asked with pouted lips. A tear escaped from her eyes. It touched my heart. I wiped the tears off her cheek.

'Don't cry mom, I am a horrible daughter. I made you worry about me so much when you should be happy." I said, looking at her. I pulled my ears back and stared at her with puppy dog eyes.

"Mom, please forgive me." I begged, gazing into her eyes.

"How could I be mad at you for so long? You are so cute." She said and kissed me on the cheek.

"I grabbed her spoon from the table and tasted the cereal on the table. I bet she didn't cook because of me. I took a few spoons and dropped them into the food.

"I am off to school." I said, and adjusting my backpack.

"You are going back to school?" she inquired.

"Of course mom," I beamed. she stood up and hugged me.

"Please focus on your studies now that the alpha twins are no longer in school," she told me and pulled away from the hug.

"I will, mom." I said, and she pressed dollar notes into my hand.

"That is your allowance for the week. I hope you are going to start your training." she said, grinning. She has a beautiful smile.

"Yes." I beamed and started walking out of the house at great speed, as I looked at the time on my phone. I was five minutes late. I stopped a taxi and hopped in. Enjoying the fresh air, it has been a long time.

The taxi halted in front of our school. Here goes nothing. I paid the taxi fee and started bouncing into the school like a happy puppy when I saw Lucas waving at me from afar with a smile on his face. I miss that face.

"Hey! What are you waiting for? We are late to class!" He yelled and ran over to me. He grasped my hand and we both started running to class together with other students. Lucas has changed a lot I don't know if he knows about Belle's death, but he is not making me lonely. I nearly forget that I have a friend like him. She walked into class and sat in the back seat of the class together. It was a history class.

"Where have you been? I haven't been seeing you in training lately." Lucas said.
