POWER THIRSTY
"I will talk to him about it." Ava said.
"I don't think that will work. He doesn't like to talk about it. All he cares about is that cruel alpha who is just seeing him as a puppet." Sena said.
"In my opinion, Jackson deserves that throne more than that asshole. He just loves the people of this pack and wants to protect them. That's one of the characteristics of a leader that he lacks." Ava said.
"Your opinion isn't going to change a thing. I just need to you talk to Jackson." Sena said.
Days passed and Ava locked herself in her room, refusing to go to school throughout the week. Andrew was missing her a lot and visited her house everyday, but Sena always slammed the door in his face. Andrew walked into the castle, heart broken and lonely, when he started hearing the screams of someone.
"Who could that be?" He muttered to himself and ran to the place where the sound was coming from. It led him to his father's room. He opened the door and got in. He saw Jordan lying on the floor, with his face against the floor, shirtless, and Carlos at his side, wiping him with a belt that had a lot of sharp edges.
"You can't just barge into my room, son, where are you manners." Carlos said.
"Why are you punishing him?" Andrew inquired, staring at his father who was sweating continuously but didn't care less because he was finding comfort in hearing the sounds Jordan was making as the belt cut through his back, leading to scars that would definitely leave a mark on him.
"Is it because he didn't come to the party yesterday?" Andrew asked and ran over to Carlos, snatching the belt from him.
"Your father is so aggressive. This is one of the reasons he has a bad reputation in his pack." the beast commented.
"You guessed right, he didn't come. He dared to keep me waiting, the alpha?" Carlos said, tapping his chest.
"I understand how you feel, but I am pretty sure it wasn't his fault. He would have had something he was doing." Andrew said.
"I...fell asleep." Jordan said in a shaky voice. Carlos extended his hand to Andrew.
"Hand over the belt, I need to teach him some lesson." Carlos said.
"Dad, it's enough! If you are drunk, look for someone else to vent your anger on; don't vent it on innocent pack members." Andrew said, lifting his lip in disgust. Carlos was stunned at how Andrew was able to see right through him.
"He is part of the reason why I drank a lot. He didn't show up and it started raining. I thought he wanted to use the rain as an excuse." Carlos said.
Andrew tossed the belt to the bed and knelt to help Jordan up from the floor.Jordan was looking at Andrew, in a surprise that there was a generous family member.
"Just go to bed." Andrew said, letting go of Jordan, who stood up on his feet. He was bearing the intense pain he was feeling in his back.
Carlos frowned and took the belt from the bed and tried to use it to hit Jordan, but he touched Andrew.
"Dad!" Andrew yelled at the top of his lungs, glaring at Carlos, who had dropped the belt on the floor.
"Go out quickly." Andrew said to Jordan, who quickly ran out of the room.
"Tell him not to leave the castle; I still have things to do for me." Carlos said. Andrew opened the door and poked his head out.
"You are not allowed to leave this castle." Andrew said and shut the door.
"Happy now?" Andrew added.
Carlos sat on the bed. "Don't talk rudely to me, son. I am just drunk, not stupid." Carlos said, crossing his hand behind his head.
"What happened to your dumbass Beta?" Andrew asked him.
"I asked him to leave me alone. He was the one that brought Jordan here." Carlos replied. Jackson started knocking on the door.
"Come in!" Andrew said in a cold tone. Jackson walked into the room.
"I just saw Jordan leaving. Did you give him permission to leave?" Jackson inquired.
"No I didn't, Andrew was the one that left go of him," Carlos said closing his eyes as the alcohol was burning in his system.
"Call the pack doctor." Andrew said to Jackson and walked out of the room.
"What is wrong with him? He is being unusually nice." Jackson asked, staring at Jackson on the bed.
"I don't know either. I don't feel so well. Can you call one of the maids to come take care of me?" Carlos declared.
"Alright." Jackson said.
Andrew blocked Jackson's path, staring at him. "What is wrong with you? These days, you are acting like an entirely different person." Jackson said, gazing at him.
"It's none of your business, I just want to ask. I haven't seen Ava for a long time. I hope she is alright." Andrew said, with his head held high. Jackson chuckled.
"So now you are consigned to her, that my stubborn sister has refused to go to school or come to training. She is just trying her best to avoid us." Jackson said.
"She is also avoiding you?" Andrew asked with his mouth wide open.
"Yes, since I was in support of her friend getting killed," Jackson said.
"Why did you support it in the first place? That doesn't sound like you." Andrew inquired.
"I couldn't do anything. She was the demon that was going to tear our pack apart." Jackson said.
"If you find a chance with Ava, tell her that she can't hide away forever, that she has to come back to reality and forget her friend. She is long gone." Andrew said.
"Why don't you go and tell her that yourself? punk! " Jackson said, pushing him away by the chest and walking out on him.
Andrew disappeared to the front of the castle and stalked Jordan. He was putting on his clothes in an attempt to walk away. Andrew held his elbow from the back and disappeared with him.
