Chapter 18 Confused feelings
ANGELICA'S POV
"I want this forever, too," Ericson said, stepping closer to me. He cupped my cheeks, rubbing his knuckles on them softly before he smiled, a smile that took my breath away.
"Eric -" I gasped when I felt someone's warm body behind me. I was about to turn to see who it was when Ericson grabbed my chin, forcing me to look into his eyes.
"Don't look away from me, Mi Vida," Ericson stepped forward.
The warm body behind me pressed us even closer. The height, the touch, the cologne—everything screamed it was Dylan, and I gulped.
I was sandwiched between the two men who had my entire concentration and desire for the past few days.
I don't know what was going on. Was any of this real, or if I was high on alcohol? But I didn't even drink that much.
"What do you want from me, Ericson?" I boldly asked, but he didn't look aback by my question. It was as if he knew I would ask something like this soon.
I waited for his answer while Dylan snaked his arm around my waist and pushed his abdomen into me, making me almost leak my wetness into my panties.
For fck's sake! These guys need to stop. While one was pressing his abdomen into me, making me want to bend over the first table we encountered and let him do me, the second one was rubbing his hand up and down my arms, sending pleasurable shivers down my spine.
"You will know, mi vida. You will find out with time. I assure you that it's nothing bad, I promise," Ericson smiled genuinely, and I turned around between the boys, facing Dylan now.
Ericson was too diplomatic right now. I need someone who can give me straight answers, even if it means he will answer at the whim of his anger or possession.
I wanted to create distance between us, not because I thought this wasn't right, but because I was afraid if we stayed like this for long, my body and mind would start displaying things that were better hidden inside me.
"Do you think this is not right?" Dylan held my shoulders, preventing me from leaving anywhere.
I gulped.
I honestly don't even know if we are on the same page.
Do I think this is not right? Yes. This wasn't right! But did I want it to stop? Hell, no!
I wanted more than what they both were offering. Even if they are drunk and want to take advantage of me, I would readily agree right now. That's how much I craved their masculine touch on my body. That's exactly how much I wanted to be under or between them.
"My friends are waiting for me. I should go back, or they'll get worried. And thank you for -" I didn't know what to say.
Should I thank Dylan for being there when I was afraid of going to the washroom alone, or should I feel threatened that he was the one who had entered the bathroom and alerted me?
"-Everything," I turned on my heels before they could stop me.
"Jesus, Li. Where did you go? How often do I need to tell you not to roam alone in places like these if you want to stay out of trouble?" Matt rushed to my side when I saw him and held my shoulders.
"Thank God you are safe. I nearly punched David because you had to go alone," Matt hugged me, and I stood there feeling nothing.
'I hate it when you smell like other men,' Dylan's voice resounded in my ears, and I bit my lower lip.
Maybe I needed a break from them. I've been seeing them too much lately. The Martino twins are everywhere, clouding my mind from office to home.
I felt Matt's hand tightening around me, and I sighed.
I know that Matt feels for me, even if it's just a mere concern and care, but I feel nothing for him.
Even earlier, I only used to feel a bit giddy because he was like my best friend and, of course, a perfectly handsome male, but after meeting the Martino twins, I don't think any man on this planet can make my heartbeat pace as they do.
I don't think anyone can make me feel wet without even touching me, just with the intensity of their gaze, and the worst thing was, this feeling was the same for both of them. While one was like a fire burning me in desire, the other one was like a deep ocean drowning me in need of wanting his touch.
Even in my naughtiest fantasy books, I have never read something like what I want from these boys.
"Hey, are you okay? You look zoned out. Did something happen? Your face is flushed red. Are you feeling ill? Should we go back to your apartment and call a doctor, or do you want to go straight to the hospital?" Matt asked me, and I knew he didn't mean bad.
He was looking out for me, but inviting another man into my apartment was revolting.
'Well, you didn't have a problem when the Martino boys came to your apartment, did you? Don't you just love it?' my conscience said, and I gulped at the guilt.
"Don't worry, Matt. I am not sick. I am just feeling hot because of the crowd. You very well know I can't stand such places for long. Besides, I saw someone puking, and the sight was repulsive. Maybe I should leave. David and Madeline are busy among themselves. Don't disturb them. I am sorry I must leave like this," I smiled at him.
"Are you sure you don't want me to ride the car for you? It's perfectly fine. I will hail a cab from your place. No big deal." Matt's eyes were convincing, and so was his expression.
And guess what? I ended up saying yes. I was confused with his feelings and wanted to set the boundaries straight and tell him he would always be my good friend.
"Great. Give me the keys," he grinned, and I smiled forcefully, feeling a little bad because I would hurt his feelings today.
We sat in the car, and even though Matt played light music, the silence was deafening and made my heart beat faster.
"You are atrociously quiet for someone who loves to speak. I am sorry. I didn't have the time and heart to ask you about it earlier, but now that we are alone, I think I can do it," Matt said, and I gulped.
‘Here comes the part I have been dreading. Please, don't say it, Matt. I don't want anything to come between our friendship. This is not something I can lose after losing a relationship. Well, it was for good, but this isn't good for sure,’ I chanted.
"Are you okay?"
"Huh?" I looked at Matt, confused.
"Are you okay after everything that happened with Tyler?" Matt asked, and I scrunched my brows.
"I...uh... I am cooperating?" My answer came out with more questions than I had intended, and he looked at me briefly before focusing on the car.
"You look like you have seen a ghost. Is it still a soft topic?" Matt asked, and I played with my nails.
"Not really. I am happy that I got freed from him. However, the recent encounter with the couple is not great. Cindy's father is influential, and we meet at business meetings whenever I visit with my bosses. Last time, she threw me in the pool, and I almost drowned. Thanks to my boss who saved my life," I shrugged, and Matt halted the car with a screech, making me look at him wide-eyed.
"What happened?" I looked around to see if we hit something or if something came our way.
"Why didn't you tell me about all this?" Matt looked at me, horrified, and I rolled my eyes.
"Seriously? My heart almost leaped into my mouth,"
"Well, I wouldn't have done that if you hadn't dropped the bomb like that. That girl tried to drown you, and you did nothing? This is so not like you, Li," Matt said, who was one of the few people who knew how evil I could get when I was angry.
"In my defense, we were at the business meeting, and I was there as a secretary while she was one of the boss's daughters. Also, I punched her twice," I smiled, and he sighed before starting the car.
"It's hard, Matt. Even if I am happy that I got out of that toxic relationship where he was cheating on me and I was waiting for him like a fool, I can't help but blame myself from time to time for everything that happened," I said, and he placed his hand over mine.
"I know, love. Anyone is bound to feel like that. No matter what happens, you will always have me, okay? I know you don't feel anything for me, and I won't pressurize my feelings on you but just know that I like you more than a friend. However, there will never be a boundary that I'll never cross and make you uncomfortable," Matt massaged my knuckles, and I smiled gratefully.
We both were looking at each other when we suddenly felt some commotion to my left.
"Matt!" I shouted, and he turned the car with a screech when we saw a large wolf jumping in the middle of a forest.
However, that wasn't what shocked me. The presence of my two bosses, wounded and running, caught my attention and surprised me.
