Chapter 562 I Know You Are Full Moon

Chapter 562 I Know You Are Full Moon

"They'll be here tomorrow," Nancy said.

For the wedding, Chris and Edith were the best man and maid of honor. Zachary had wanted to be the best man, but Nancy had turned him down.

If Zachary were the best man, they would need to find another bridesmaid to pair with him, and there wasn't anyone suitable at the moment.

...

Tomorrow was the big day, and everything was set. Nancy was visibly nervous, and Edward wasn't much better off.

After a long pause, Nancy finally asked the question that had been on her mind for a while, "Edward, are your parents coming to the wedding?"

"No, I figured you wouldn't want them there, and my grandmother feels the same. They know better than to show up," Edward replied.

Nancy felt a wave of relief wash over her.

Even though they were Edward's biological parents and she was now their daughter-in-law, she couldn't forgive them or forget the past.

Plus, with Chris and Edith there, if Simon and Glenna showed up, it would make everyone uncomfortable.

At that moment, Philip walked in with a package.

"Mr. Smith, a courier just delivered a package from overseas for you."

"What's inside?" Edward took the package and opened it.

Nancy leaned in to look. Inside were several boxes. Edward opened the first one, revealing a dazzling ruby necklace and a note that read: For Nancy.

"It's for you. Do you want it?" Edward asked.

He knew Nancy didn't have a good impression of his parents. If she didn't want it, he would throw the whole box away.

"Why wouldn't I want it?" Nancy grabbed the jewelry box. "This ruby set is beautiful. I'll keep it and pass it down to Juliana someday."

Edward shook his head with a smile and opened the second box. Inside was a limited-edition watch, one of only three in the world, clearly meant for Edward.

Even though he knew the answer, Edward still asked Nancy, "Should I keep this?"

Nancy gave him a look, "You decide. Why are you asking me?"

"I was worried you might mind."

"I married you, didn't I? Why would I mind you keeping a watch?"

"Then I'll keep it," Edward said, putting the watch away.

His feelings towards his parents were still complicated. He couldn't fully accept them yet, but he could understand their actions a bit more now.

If someone tried to separate him from Nancy now, he wouldn't be able to accept it either.

But unlike his parents, he would never abandon his child. No matter the cost, he would fight to keep his child.

The last box contained a set of exquisite Barbie dolls, clearly for Juliana.

Juliana had never asked about her grandparents. Now that they had sent her a gift, Edward decided it was time to explain who her grandparents were.

At the bottom of the package was an envelope containing a key and a letter.

The letter explained that the key was to a safe deposit box containing all their assets, which were now at the disposal of Edward and Nancy.

"You decide what to do with these," Edward said, handing her the key.

Nancy took the key, an idea forming in her mind. "Edward, can I really do whatever I want with this money?"

Edward nodded, "Absolutely. I always keep my word."

"Do you know 'Full Moon'?"

"Yeah, the famous philanthropist who’s helped a ton of orphans. And I know you’re Full Moon." Edward smiled, a hint of pride in his eyes.

Nancy was taken aback, "How did you figure that out?"

"I pieced it together at Mr. Watkins' dinner party. He didn’t know you personally but treated you with a lot of respect, which meant you had to be someone important. I did some digging and found out that the person Mr. Watkins respects the most is Full Moon. And since the jewelry brand you and Daniel created is called Luna, I guessed that Full Moon was you."

"Nothing gets past you," Nancy said, resigned. "Since you know I'm Full Moon, you won’t mind if I use this money to help those orphans, right?"

"Of course not. I said it’s up to you."

"Then I'll keep it," Nancy said, satisfied, as she put the key away.

With this money, she could help countless orphans, giving them a chance at a happy life, unlike her own past.

And she didn’t feel guilty about using this money for charity because it wasn’t clean money to begin with.

Seeing her accept it so readily, Edward felt relieved.

If Nancy had any reservations, he wouldn’t have kept the items. He didn’t need them, and after so many years without his parents, he wasn’t deeply moved by this late show of parental love.

At the Forbes family's insistence, Nancy decided to leave from their mansion in Harmony City for the wedding.

After putting Juliana to bed, Edward reluctantly walked Nancy to the door, where the Forbes family, minus Jeremy, was waiting to pick her up.

With so many people, they had brought a stretch limo, making quite an entrance.

Seeing Nancy come out, they excitedly ushered her into the car, barely glancing at Edward.

Edward's raised hand slowly dropped, feeling a bit left out but unable to say anything.

Nancy rolled down the window and waved, "See you tomorrow."

Edward waved back, "See you tomorrow."

Once everyone was in the car, a problem arose. Everyone wanted to stay in the limo with Nancy, leaving no one to drive.

"George, you drive," Zachary said, squeezing in next to Nancy. "I'll keep Nancy company. We're the same age, so we have more to talk about."

George glared at him and looked at Royce, "Royce, you drive. You're the best driver."

Royce refused, "Elsie is pregnant. I need to take care of her. You guys figure it out."

No one argued with that. Pregnant Elsie was the family's treasure.

Zachary looked at Frank, who was beaming with joy. He was about to ask him to drive but swallowed his words when Frank glared at him.

Finally, Susan stepped up, "I'll drive. You all have a good chat."

Surrounded by her cheerful family, Nancy felt her eyes well up. She had never imagined she could be this happy.

The ride home was filled with laughter, and when they arrived, they were greeted by an unexpected guest.

Jeremy had come back.
