Chapter 9
Sevan sat in the depths of the abyss as he tried to connect himself to the other celestials once more.
He reached for his crystal ball and he tried to look into the lives of them. He found Selene in the midst of them and he felt something stir in his heart at the sight of her. She was the only one who he had felt any form of affection for and yet she had been the very one to betray him and stab him in the back. He could have argued that he was young and naive at the time but he refused to allow himself to make such a mistake ever again.
He looked at her as she conversed with Ren, the celestial of the immortals. She had always thought so highly of herself and had often considered herself to be better than everyone else. He had almost scoffed at that fact. He found it funny that she would think so highly of herself in such a way.
He wanted to get back at them and he knew how but even then when he had implanted the thought of the flower into the minds of several beings none of them had been able to take the bait. He had seen many warriors fall on the quest for the flower and none of the beings had been able to be released as worthy champions for it.
He let out a sigh as his eyes drifted towards the view of the flower. It lay dormant all the same lost in the world that didn’t deserve it. The darkness that was used to forge it had been tainted by light and he knew that he needed to possess it in order to rid it of such impurities. He felt his eyes wander towards it once more as he allowed a sigh to break free from his lips.
It was all about patience and he knew that everything that he desired would come to him soon but he was tired of waiting and especially since it seemed and though the outcome was looking more and more grim with each day that passed.
He would sit on his throne and he would wait for them to come to him but he had grown irritated and he had become tired of waiting. He let out a sigh from his lips and he looked towards the realm through his globe. He knew that the werewolves were the most dominant of creatures as of then and he also was aware of the fact that Selene had appointed herself the leader of the creatures. He realized that he could use this opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.
He searched his eyes over the werewolf realm and he saw the souls of various Alphas but all of them seemed to have the same traits. They all were more focused on their ego rather than anything else. He let out a sigh at the thought as he realized that it was pointless to even try.
He was about to pull away from his globe when he suddenly took notice of something that was positioned in the corner of his sight.it was one Alpha in particular and as he took his soul into his hand instead of it being the same black blob it had hints of white to it. It reminded him of the flower itself and he couldn’t help but grin at the sight as he took it into his hands.
He searched through the life of the Alpha and he had to admit that he had seen great loss in his own lifetime. But yet somehow he continued to remain strong through it all. He had to admit that the man had strength. He continued to search through the glove and he saw that he cared for his pack more than anything and he felt a grin make its way onto his features as a plan began to form in his head.
And so he affected the people with sickness. One that was untraceable by the other celestials as it would link his soul to theirs. The celestials are never truly about their creatures anyway. They mostly cared about how they could manipulate them into serving them blindly.
He had caused them to be fallen with a sickness that would kill them slowly and he watched as the desperate Alpha had become distraught and so he had planted the idea of searching for the solution in his head because he knew that in the end there was only one solution and that was through the flower.
He watched as the Alpha began his journey for the search for the flower and he had to admit that he was very determined. He had traveled various traitorous terrain and had harbored various insults but he had never given up as eventually he found it.
And he had thought that he had found the cure. In truth he was right in some way and the moment that he had touched it Sefan had felt an instant connection even in the depths of the abyss he was still linked to his mind. He watched as the man had taken it with him back to bios pack and the more that he had held it the tighter his connection had gotten.
He had crushed the flower to extract its nectar but he hadn’t properly disposed of it which meant that it would eventually grow back. He had then fed it to his people as he was under the illusion that it would be the very thing that would save them. And for a little while Sefan had allowed them to be happy but he knew that wouldn’t last. He didn’t work that way and when they least expected it he would return to rip that very seed of hope he had planted in them and rip it out of their chest.
He had ruined them and although they didn’t know it yet by the time that he was done with Azrial he would be left as nothing more than a shell of his former self and his people will be nothing more than a tale lost in time.
