Chapter 19
Bella was running. There were leaves brushing against her leg and she could feel something chasing her. She didn’t know where she was but she could see nothing in front of her except for the darkness that surrounded her
She wasn’t looking where she was going clearly and she found herself tripping over a twig. She closed her eyes as she winched and braced herself for the fall.
She turned back around behind her frantically as she looked around wick enough to see that there was a hooded figure that was standing before her. She flinches as she tried to control her breathing. She gasped for air as she watched as the figure turned into a large wolf. It had the brightest shade of bright blue eyes as it let out a loud menacing howl. Gerom its lips. She heard her heartbeat pick up on her chest at rhew sound as she tried to remain calm before without warning she watched as it began to head over to her.
She scrambled to her feet as she tried to move away from it once more. She knew that there was nothing that she could do in order to avoid it. She felt as her heart beat continued to race and just before she was able to get away she felt something clamped down on her neck. She let out a loud scream as she felt her senses returning to her.
She let out a loud sigh from her lips as she ran a hand over her face. She realized that to had been just a dream as she let out a groan from her lips. She sighed as she sat up knowing that this wasn’t the first time that she had one of these dreams. They always ended in the same way and she couldn’t help but let out a groan in realization. She sighed as she looked out her window and saw that it was still dark outside. She could hear the sounds of a few wolves howling loudly but she chooses not to listen to them. She let out a sigh from her lips as she made her way over to their balcony.
She took noticed of the fact that the moon was still very laugh up in the sky which meant that the wolves were still out there. She often found herself envying the wolves and she wished that she could be part of the pack. But the thing about her being a hybrid was the fact that there were always going to be those people that would continue to treat her as though she was an outcast and it wouldn’t matter what she did.
She sat on the balcony starting up at the moon for a while longer as she imagined how the moon goddess would feel to see werewolves now. She wasn’t a firm believer in the goddess but it did bring her comfort to know that there was someone out there looking out for her.
She felt her hands itch as she felt the incessant need to go and paint something but she tried her best to surprise it. After a while she felt her body grow tired as she decided that it was time for her to go back inside. She let out a sigh from her lips as she made her way back over to her bed and lay down. She could only hope that this time she would be able to have a dreamless sleep.
Bella was woken up several hours later by the sound of large pounding on her door. She groaned as she reached for her pillow and tried to use it to cover her ears. “Bella it is your mother and I know that you are in there so wake up.” Sheheard her mother hiss on the other side of the door.
She felt her jaw clench as she really didn’t want to have an interaction with her mother. She raised her hand as she spelled the door causing it to block out her mother’s sounds. She slowly prided the pillow away from her face as she let out a sigh. She slowly sat up in her bed as she stretched her limbs.
She could still see her door skating and she smirked knowing that her mother would surely male her pay for that. She looked around her childhood room and she let her gaze fall in the very vivid old painting that lined her walls. She looked around her room for a moment and she couldn’t help but wonder if it was time for her to redecorate.
She sighed as she made her way into the bathroom and began getting ready. When she was done she made her way back into her room as she changed into a simply sun dress. She twirled around her room as she hummed a tune. She then remembered the spell that she had placed in her door and was quick to take it off. She knew that her mum would throw a fit. she grinned knowing that she loved to mess with her parents.
She closed her eyes and teleoperated herself to the kitchen. When she opened her eyes again she was sitting on the dining room table. Shelet out a gasp as she grinned and turned to look at her mother who glared at her.
“You see ezra. I told you not to teach her that spell. Now I have this bratty teenager. “her mother said and her father only chuckled lightly from beside her. “morning mother and father. It is a beautiful day today isn’t it.” Bella said and she heard her mother scoff.
“Yes, it is wonderful. “Bella muttered. “You had a nightmare again, didn't you?” She heard her father say and as she turned towards him she saw that his eyes had flashed yellow and she cursed herself internally because she knew she could never keep anything from him especially since he could shrewd her emotions.
“yeah but it wasn’t that bad. I will get over it.”
she said brushing him off as she continued to dig into her cereal. “Well if it does continue you tell me. we could work on some calming spells. It isn't normal to have the same dream each night.” He said to her, “well I could really use some calming.”her mother muttered.
Her father chuckled as she reached it to squeeze her hand but Bella watched as her mother tensed up before her eyes glazed over. She cleared after a moment as she turned towards Bella with dread. “It's the alpha he wants to see you.” Her mother said and Bella felt her heart sink.
