Kieran’s POV
Suddenly Jess went running out of the room and I knew that something was wrong. I glared at Delica as I ran out of the room after her. She stopped just outside the room, and I made sure the door was closed before I asked her what had happened. She started going on about the aliens raping our women and I was confused. She mentioned that she wanted to see if they could produce with us, but she did not say anything about raping women. Then Jess said it felt like Delica was speaking directly into her head and I felt my blood run cold. If they were telepathic, she might be able to still communicate with her people while locked up. That could be very bad for us, and I knew I needed to talk to Grahams about this as soon as I could. Jess looked a mess, and I was not sure if it was a good idea to keep doing the tour. I knew that once she met Bridget, she would be even more upset as I knew Bridget would love telling her all about how we met, and she ended up here.
“Do you want me to take you home? We can do the rest of the tour tomorrow.” I told her.
“No, I will be fine just give me a couple of minutes to compose myself” She told me as she took a deep breath “Will the agency be able to stop them from coming and raping women?”
“We will do everything in our power to stop it” I told her honestly, but I was more worried about the fact she was telepathic and could be speaking to other aliens without us knowing.
“Okay, what’s next the werewolf, right?” She asked pulling me from my thoughts.
I was impressed at how quickly she pulled herself together. I watched her walk over to the door that housed James and let herself in. I smiled as I followed behind her, I knew that James would be able to lighten the mood. Jess walked straight in and introduced herself showing no signs of fear and God, it made me proud. James been James tried to flirt with her and that pissed Jess off. I watched her put him in his place before starting to ask questions. James loves the sound of his own voice so happily told Jess anything that she wanted to know. I relaxed back in my chair and pulled out my phone while James started to tell Jess the story of how he was turned.
Me – The Alien is called Delica, and she is telepathic. She spoke into Jess’s head telling her that her people were coming here to rape our women. That’s why they are here, their race is dying out so they want to try reproducing with our women.
Grahams – Looks like bringing Jess on to the team was a good idea. I will speak to my team and work out a plan.
Me – Do you need me to come back after I take Jess home? We are just with James.
Grahams – No, enjoy your night and the time you have together.
I felt like I had been punched in the gut. The comment was not just meaning tonight. He was going to do something, so that I would not get to spend time with Jess anymore and it pissed me off. He assigned me her mentor, and I had been professional while I was here. But fuck if he was going to do something to separate us then I would also enjoy what time I had with her while we were here too. I would also happily let everyone know that we were an item.
Me – Oh I almost forgot, the street kids went to Jess’s house last night. She told them that the warehouse is rented by me, and I restore cars in it.
Grahams – I thought she was going to tell them she could not get in.
Me – She did, but they saw her come out with me. She managed to think up the story of me restoring cars on the spot
Grahams – She is a smart kid and will make a great agent
I put my phone back just as James finished telling his story and turned around and asked Jess what she was doing here. I quickly jumped in and told him that she was a new employee and that she had skills that we needed. I hoped that James would take in my tone and behave, boy was I wrong. He made a comment about Jess only having the skills to make herself look pretty and I saw Jess’s face turn red in anger. I was about to step in until Jess turned around and asked James why she would want to be able to turn into a wolf when it would just get her locked in a cage. I chuckled to myself as she smirked at James, and I knew that she did not need me to fight her battles. I took her hand and James looked at us in shock asking if we were fucking. Is that all that guy can think about? Once I corrected him and advised we were in a relationship I told Jess that we needed to carry on. I was not looking forward to her meeting Bridget, but I knew it had to happen.
Jess started to ask me questions about James, and I was happy to answer them. I told her how we were doing tests on him, and he was willing and cooperating. Everything was fine until she asked what would happen if he got a girl pregnant. That was something we were hoping to be able to test, and we were curious just like Jess. We wondered if the baby would come out human or as a wolf. James agreed to do the test if we could find him a hot as hell willing women. I did not want to tell Jess that he also stated he would be happy for us to film them doing the deed. Somethings were better left unsaid.
