Chapter 96─Mishka and Bruce dine alone
Mishka could not believe that Bruce was rescued and asking her out for dinner. It happened so quickly that she couldn’t believe it.
She stood holding the phone in her hand and shaking her head at it.
“Oh, what happened to you? It seems as if you just had a miracle experience,” Myrtle remarked from across the open bedroom door.
“You have no idea. Maybe I am. My singing is doing well for me lately,” Mishka responded. She felt elated at the success of her song which was just recorded and released. She felt elated that Bruce was free.
“And now I can’t wait to find out if my dream was true,” she told herself as she just smiled at Myrtle.
“Yes, I can see that you’re in a celebrating mood. Just don’t go out late. Tomorrow is a work day at the office,” Myrtle remarked before moving on past Mishka’s bedroom door.
“I wonder how often she stands and listens at my door,” Mishka asked herself before walking over to her wardrobe to find an outfit for an informal dinner.

It was wonderful to have dinner under the stars.
Mishka was sitting alone with Bruce at the table on the terrace overlooking the swimming pool, but there was an entire buffet counter next to them.
“So, you actually had a dream about me and you saw me being held captive in a house that was situated on a mountain?” Bruce asked with his eyes stretched wide in amazement.
“It’s the first time that this happens to me, but I spoke to someone who thinks that it’s in my destiny,” Mishka responded with a slight blush creeping over her cheeks as she spoke. She was holding a glass of wine in her hand as she spoke.
She felt comfortable being out alone with him for a change. Having an entire dinner for just the two of them.
“Gosh, that’s wonderful for you then. Are you looking forward to learning more about seeing into the unknown?” Bruce asked with a gentle grin which lit up his eyes.
“Well, I haven’t really thought about it as a gift. I only saw it as an answer to a prayer and a means to find out where you had vanished to. We didn’t know if you were safe or not,” Mishka responded, looking down at the food on her plate as if she did not want Bruce to see the expression in her eyes.
“It’s amazing to find out that so many people were worried about me and trying to help while I was feeling so alone in that strange situation,” Bruce responded in a pensive tone of voice.
“Oh, now why would you ever think that you’re alone when you’re the owner of such a large business? It’s quite impossible, I think,” Mishka responded with a quick glance up into Bruce’s eyes.
“Imagine if they had killed me then I would never have found out about so many people being concerned about my safety. I would never have found out that you developed a new gift in the process,” Bruce responded, staring into his glass of wine.
Mishka looked at him to see if he was joking, but there was no sign of mockery on his face. He looked quite sincere.
“It’s awesome that someone with your profile could care about someone else’s gifts,” Mishka responded as she looked straight at Bruce’s face to make sure that he was not joking.
“Oh, but not everyone is the same. I would have hated to miss another chance of dancing with you for instance,” Bruce remarked with a smile which made his eyes shine bright again.
“Oh, yes. I even forgot all about last night,” Mishka responded with a smile which eased her face for a change.
“But who did this? Who kidnapped you?” she asked as she got up to collect some meat from the buffet counter. She did not want a servant to serve her, so Bruce had dismissed the butler from the terrace.
“I love being informal when I’m outdoors,” Mishka had explained before the butler could even begin to serve her.
“Great, then that’s how we’ll have it,” Bruce had responded as he nodded at the butler as a sign for him to leave the buffet counter and go back indoors.
“I don’t know who that person is or who those people were. Their assistants fled into the mountains and we’re still trying to find them,” Bruce responded.
“So, you’re not going to call the police in at all?” Mishka asked with a frown as she sat down again.
“No, but if they try again we will,” Bruce responded while keeping his eyes on his food.
“I wonder if there will be a time when he will tell me that he’s actually taking about his wolf clan?” Mishka wondered to herself.
“Something else actually happened which truly excited me today and I hope you feel the same when you hear this,” Bruce remarked, looking up at Mishka with excitement in his eyes.
“Oh? What happened?” Mishka asked in surprise.
“Didn’t they send you an invitation too?” Bruce asked, keeping his eyes on Mishka to see her facial expression.
“No, I didn’t receive any invitation from anyone. Did you receive one?” Mishka asked frowning in confusion.
“There’s a successful fashion house in Milan Italy which wants to showcase my designs at a show in Milan and they want you to sing at the show in the same way as in the video that we did together,” Bruce responded with a broad grin on his face.
“So, your designs will be on show and I will get to sing? Are you sure?” Mishka asked with another frown between her brows.
“I will also be there with my models,” Bruce added with his eyes full of hope as he looked at Mishka.
“That’s unbelievable. How did news travel so fast to them?” Mishka asked with a smile beginning to quiver at the corners of her mouth.
“I don’t know but I think it’s a sign that your music career has got to start seriously now,” Bruce responded as he studied Mishka’s face.
“Well, I won’t turn it down, but I still have to come back and continue to work for my dad,” Mishka responded with a shy smile as she cut her meat.
“I think you should try to take your music breaks more seriously because, what if they don’t come anymore?” Bruce asked as he smiled at her politely.
“It would be good if I could keep on having shows with you,” Mishka answered inside her own mind.
“Well, my grandmother just reminded me about my duties to my dad’s company again today,” Mishka responded to Bruce’s question.
“Why would you do what she wants when it concerns your destiny?” Bruce asked with a raised eyebrow. He then smiled again.
“I wonder why, when I’m developing my own skills and can actually survive on my own?” Mishka asked herself.
“Should I take a plunge into the unknown at this point?” she asked herself.
