Chapter 147 - Epilogue
Chapter 147 - Epilogue
I stand in the middle of an arena. In front of me is an enormous man covered in armor and holding a broadsword in front of him.
I pull my sword out of the sheath and face my opponent. He is the biggest of the warriors–at least in mass. His armor covers most of his body except for his joints. A helm covers his face, but even so, I can see that he is very ready to fight.
“Ready…” the announcer starts. “Fight!”
The crowd of spectators cheers at the same time that the man rushes towards me. He swings his broadsword and I dodge to the left, missing me by a hair’s breadth. I counter by thrusting my sword forward, aiming for his exposed shoulder joints. He parries with ease and strikes back, the force of his attack sending shockwaves down my arm.
I take a step back, regaining my composure as he advances once again. This time, I feint to the right and quickly pivot to my left, slashing at his unprotected knee joints. The crowd roars as my blade makes contact, biting into him and drawing blood.
But the man seems unfazed, his adrenaline pumping as he continues to come at me with unrelenting force. It becomes clear to me that I cannot win this battle with brute force alone. I need to outsmart him.
I decide to switch up my tactics. As he charges toward me, I spin my sword in a circle and then point it straight toward his chest. The move confuses him and before he can react, I charge towards him, thrusting my sword forward in a three-hit combo.
The first two hits deflect off his armor, but the final thrust plunges deep into his stomach. He falls to the ground with a thud and the crowd goes silent.
For a few seconds, nothing happens. The man lies there clutching at his midriff. I approach him cautiously, unsure if he is still a threat. His struggles eventually subside, and he makes a gesture that he’s giving up.
“Winner: Kaiya, the Challenger!” the announcer declares, breaking the silence.
The crowd erupts into cheers, and I smile. The training really is worth it. The prize money will be great and will allow me to pay for one more week of stay in this country.
After receiving my prize, I make my way out of the arena, I feel elated. I am excited to meet Theo, who I left in the inn. I’m sure he’s awake now, seeing that it’s already close to mid-morning.
I weave through the bustling crowd, still buzzing with adrenaline from my victory. The sound of clanging swords and cheering spectators fades away as I make my way toward the inn.
As I push open the door, the familiar smell of clean bedsheets fills my nostrils. In the morning, it usually smells of us, but I make it a point not to make love to him last night.
I scan the room. Theo is still sleeping. I smile as I let the women come in and prepare the bath. I sit down next to the bed, watching him sleep. He looks so peaceful and content, and I can’t help but feel a twinge of guilt for not waking him up earlier to witness my fight.
But my guilt melts away as I take in the sight of him, his chest rising and falling with each breath. I reach out and gently stroke his cheek, causing him to stir. With an instinctual need, I lay my head on his chest, listening to his heartbeats.
He groans and rubs at his eyes, slowly sitting up in bed. “Kaiya?” he asks, his voice heavy with sleep. “Good morning, love.”
“Good morning, Theo,” I reply, a hint of excitement in my voice. “I have a surprise for you.”
“Oh?” he says, raising an eyebrow.
I motion for the women to step back and leave, revealing the bathtub filled with warm water and rose petals.
“I thought we could enjoy a relaxing morning together.”
He takes my state in. “You’ve been outside, huh.”
“I joined a fight. I won and so we can stay for one more week here.”
He grins at me, leans in, and places a kiss on my lips. “You enjoy this place?”
“This is the best inn in Duran,” I admit.
“You didn’t like it before.”
I hang my arms around his neck and say, “I lied before. I actually love their signature dishes.”
He chuckles, taking in my admission. “Well, I’m glad we have one more week to enjoy them.”
I trail my fingers across his chest and say seductively, “And I have one more week to enjoy you.”
I watch as his features darken with desire, before he can pull me back to the bed, I stand up and giggle. Before him, I remove my clothes, while holding his eyes. He did the same. Completely bare, he moves towards me. I prepare myself, ready for a kiss, but then he passes and sinks himself into the tub.
I frown as I look at him. There is a smile on his face as he watches me. I follow after him and sink into the warm water. I sit next to him and lean over his body.
“Stop with the teasing,” I scold him, as I close my eyes and relax against him.
“You missed me already,” he states.
I let out a contented sigh, feeling the tension in my muscles melt away. Theo pours some scented oils into the water and begins to massage my shoulders, his touch sending shivers down my spine. I lean back into him, enjoying his warm embrace as we relax together.
As his hands move down my back, I let out a soft moan. He chuckles and leans down to kiss my neck, his teeth grazing over my skin.
“You like that, huh?” he murmurs into my ear.
I nod, unable to form words as his hands continue to work their magic on my body. I turn to face him, planting a gentle kiss on his lips.
“How did you find the surprise?” I ask, my fingers gently trailing his face.
“Very relaxing. You really make me happy, every single day.”
I smile at his words. “It’s the other way around, Theo. When you asked to become my travel companion, I was hesitant. But now, I am glad I agreed,” I say, initiating a kiss with him again.
Theo’s hands move down my body, cupping my breasts and teasing my nipples. I gasp into his mouth, feeling desire stir within me. Theo’s hands drift lower, caressing my stomach until they reach the apex of my thighs. I moan softly as he begins to stroke me.
I break away from our kiss, gasping for air as his hands continue their exploration. “Theo,” I whisper, my voice barely above a breath.
He pulls back, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Yes?” he asks, his fingers still tracing patterns on my inner thighs.
I look at him with lust-filled eyes. “I want you.”
Theo grins. “And I want you too. However–”
Suddenly, he lifts me and makes me sit on the edge of the tub. He wraps his arms around my waist and places my legs on his shoulders.
“Before that, I want to do this,” he says.
Then his tongue touches my mound and I almost fall over from the sensation if not for his arms that are tight around me. He continues—licking and sucking my most intimate parts–driving me crazy with pleasure.
“Oh Theo,” I moan out his name as pleasure floods every inch of my body. I hold on to the edge of the tub, my grip tightening with every new sensation. He’s relentless though, and my other hand catches his head. “Oh god…” I moan again, as his tongue does wonders.
My pleasure builds until I’m about to climax. Theo pulls away at the last moment and I whimper, longing for more.
He grins, standing up and lifting me from the edge of the tub. “I think it’s time you get what you asked for,” he murmurs.
He sits back in the tub and makes me sit on him while I take him inside of me.
“Theo...” I moan, my hands grabbing his shoulders.
And when he’s completely inside of me, he kisses my forehead. “Should I move?”
I nod, then I capture his lips in a hungry, passionate kiss. He starts to move slowly, gradually increasing the speed. I meet his movements eagerly, our breaths becoming louder with each thrust. Then his movements become more powerful and I can feel myself building up to the peak quickly.
Soon, my breathing becomes labored, my back arching as I climb higher and higher until I’m screaming out in pleasure.
Right after I reach my climax, Theo joins me in orgasm. Breathing heavily, we collapse into each other’s arms–my arms around his neck and his arms around my waist.
“I love you,” he whispers, his voice thick with emotion.
My heart swells with happiness, and I smile. “I love you too,” I reply. My arms tighten around his neck and add, “For our wedding anniversary celebration today, can we stay all day in this room?”
“Haven’t had enough fill of me yet?” he asks, his eyes glinting with mischief.
“Yes,” I admit. “I want more of you.”
He grins and soon we are kissing each other again, our bodies intertwined as we bask in our lovemaking. It’s been three years since we tied the knot, a simple wedding. Something that people find strange knowing that he is previously a king. But what’s more important is that we are still in our honeymoon phase, our passions running high and wild, with no hints of it subsiding.
