Chapter 179 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 179 Untitled Chapter
LIZZY MASON

“Since you've refused to die, now tell me the reason you guys kidnapped my daughter.”

I unpinched the pillow from him, and he gasped, breathing so hard while fighting for oxygen. I’d wanted him to pass away when he was struggling under the pillow. Alas, he is a pain in the butt and a dude with a long life.

“Pl…ease…spare my life,” he cried out, patting his chest. “Mr. Noah had us kidnap her because there was something she heard him say that she promised to inform you about.”

So, Noah was scared that if I knew what that was, I would apprehend him. And to shut her up, he decided to kidnap her to silence her. Wonderful!

“And what was that??”

“I have no idea, Detective Lizzy. Mr. Noah never told me what that was. And I swear, he wasn't the one who told me to kill Sophia; I did that on my own so I could leave that apartment, as I was so bored staying there alone.”

Hmmmm. Even though it wasn't Nah who sent him to do that, Noah will surely be dealt with. I lowered myself, grabbed his collar, and punched him in the face, breaking his nose.

“Tell me where Noah is, you evil bastard!” I thundered, glaring at him with fierce, red eyes.

“Mr. Noah didn't tell me where he was going. He only said he was going to take the…” He went mute and lowered his head as if someone had told him to shut up.

“Speak!” I kicked his butt. “Or I release this!”

When he saw the gun, he started quivering, and his crying increased. “Mr. Noah left to transport the ladies and the drug out of the country successfully.”

Oh, so he wasn't going for surgery after all. Seriously, I would have dug deep into that, and I would have found out that Noah was lying, but I wanted him to leave so that I could go to his mansion to investigate.

“Ad, where is he now? What is the name of the country he went to?”

Since he refused to tell me before leaving, he would have told his puppets. And even if he doesn't tell them, they will surely know where he went.

“Believe me, Detective Lizzy, I swear I have no idea. Mr. Noah never tells us what country he is going to anytime he leaves New York City.”

And I should believe that?

“If you want me to reduce the torture I am going to inflict on you, you’d better tell the truth right now. Where is Noah? Who are the girls he took out of the country?”

“Like I said earlier,” he sniffled. “I don't know where he is. And for the girls, they are the girls he sold to a business partner for millions of dollars. Each girl costs five thousand dollars, and this time, he has more than twenty ladies.”

What! Human trafficking? Is that how low they turn human beings? Buying them for a missile of money? Gosh!

How do they even get the girls? I just hope it isn't what I am thinking about.

“If you promise to let me go, I promise to tell you everything about Mr. Noah that I know of.”

Interesting! Release him? Absolutely not. But promise him?? That is the simplest thing ever.

“Okay, let’s have it. And make sure you don't leave out a word because if you do, I won't keep my word.”

He nodded his head, stood on his knees, and locked his fingers. “Mr. Noah has been easily getting those girls.”

“How easy??” I sat down on the chair, leaned forward, elbows on my thigh, and clenched my fingers supporting my chin.

“Since he started this job a long time ago, none of the girls were kidnapped; they all fell into his hands by bringing themselves to him.”

Confusing. How did they bring themselves to him?

“They are those girls who fall in love with a rich dude when they see him.”

“Meaning they were his girlfriend?”

“Absolutely not, Detective Lizzy, he never dated any of them. He only pretended just so they wouldn't suspect a thing.”

Wow! Noah is more capable than I thought.

“So how does he lure them into wherever he hides the girls before taking them out of the country?”

“That part is easy, too. All that was needed was to take them out on a date, and from there, take them to the house straight.”

Did he just say a date? This sounds familiar.

“And sometimes, to avoid raising their suspicion, he proposed to some of them.”

Hat! This is so familiar.

Is Noah behind the missing women case? They went missing this way. They went on a date and never returned. And in the footage, he did propose to some of them.

“Continue,” I sighed, eyes fixed on him deeply.

“Not only that, but he is also the next person to take over Mr. Bo…”

“Detective Lizzy?” We were interrupted by one of the officers.

“What do you want? Can't you see that I am busy right now?”

“I know, and I am so sorry for interrupting. We have found the real person behind those missing women.”

Wow!

“Who is it?”

“The number on that file is the same as the number that you were called with when Sophia was still in captivity. And after tracing the real owner of that number, it turned out to be…”

He shook his head, sighing.

“Noah, right?” He nodded his head. “Yes, Detective Lizzy. It is Mr. Noah Dominic.”

All this time, the real culprit has been with me, and I didn't get a clue. Oh, no. I did get a clue, and I started suspecting him. However, I allowed the stupid feelings I had for him then to blind my eyes.

Noah was the one who took Nala away and the one who took Alissa, his secretary, away. I should have known that he was behind it the day I joked about it with him. Noah acted so suspiciously that day.

And the day I caught him speaking on the phone, too. All the terms he was using weren't business-related. He was talking to his business partners about the girls. I was so stupid to have believed him when he lied to me.

And now that it is clear that those girls give themselves to him, then Nala was dating him when she was living with me. She knew Noah was my boyfriend then, yet she allowed her heart to take control of her.

Well, she has gotten what she wants. And if I find them alive, I will make her regret it before she faces the death sentence for the killing of those innocent people she did.
