The Start Of The Prophecy

The Start Of The Prophecy
\[Unknown POV\]
I stand in front of all, taking in their hooded figures. There are many of them here. Many of my children who have worked so hard to help me in getting to this very point in time.
Some have given their lives, others have managed to survive, and when the time comes, they most certainly will be rewarded. For their loyalty, for their endurance, for their determination to make sure that our mission is fulfilled.
Smiling, I raise my hands, drawing all eyes to me as I feel the power of the very earth between my feet flowing up into me. It’s intoxicating. It’s invigorating. And it reminds me that when all is said and done, I will be able to draw from it any time I feel.
Yes. I think, my excitement growing. Soon, I will be all-powerful and the one who will lead us to a great new time. I will be their new goddess, and I will destroy anyone who dares to try to say that I’m not.
Ah. This is lovely. This power that I feel that rushes through each and every one of my nerve endings. I want more of it, but first, I must make sure that everything goes as planned.
Taking a deep breath, I look to my minions, taking in their numbers, and then I smile.
“Welcome,” I purr, continuing to look upon them. “We have finally made it to the time of change. The pieces are all finally coming together. The prophecy will soon be fulfilled, and when it is, WE shall be the ones who rule this land. For too long the wolves have asserted their dominance, strutting around like they are the ones who are all-powerful while we remained in the shadows.”
Growing quiet, I try not to remember the many years I spent hiding away. Waiting and watching for the time when I could finally get my vengeance.
For too many years I waited, and now, here I was, about to finally get what I wanted.
“Not anymore!” I continue, my anger bubbling over. “In just a few days we will show them that we are the ones who should be reckoned with. They are already losing their numbers as our prophecy is fulfilled, and when we get ahold of the wench, we will make sure that their kind are completely wiped out.”
Smiling, I look down at the bubbling cauldron in front of me, and then I see her. The girl who will wipe out the wolves. She’s so young. So innocent. And so ripe for the picking.
“Just a few drops of her blood is all that it will take.” I smirk, lifting my gaze to my minions. “And once we have that, there will be no stopping us.”
At my words, cheers and roars of excitement erupt, echoing around the cavern that we are currently residing in. It’s just beneath New Moon’s packhouse and in the perfect position to make our move when the time comes.
Foolish wolves. I think, realizing how little they’ve been aware of what is happening. All this time we have been right under their noses, and they never once figured it out, but I guess I shouldn’t have expected any less. How could they figure it out when they didn’t even know that I was freely moving amongst them?
Smiling, I let myself remember how easily they let me join them. How they willingly brought me into their domain, thinking that I was nothing more than a weak and feeble woman.
I guess for those who allowed such a thing, I would at least get rid of them quickly. I would grant them this one reward for never catching onto my plan.
“Once we have the girls’ blood, we will begin moving. One by one, we will take them out until they are weak humans that we can eliminate from this world after.”
It wasn’t like anyone would miss them. As it was, the human population barely even knew they existed since they always kept to themselves. That meant that even if they disappeared out of nowhere, nothing would happen.
“Ah,” I sigh, shifting my gaze to my cauldron once more and beginning to take in the scene that is unfolding.
I see the girl. She is alone and broken. Her eyes are filled with sparkling tears that flow down her bloodied cheeks. She’s miserable because she has certainly lost someone important, and that misery is so beautiful.
As she is here in this vision, she is easy enough to take while I’m certain the others are distracted, and once we had her in our grasp, we would take her blood. Of course, we wouldn’t kill her and would only take as much as was needed for the time to eliminate all of her comrades.
After that, we would keep her alive so that we can continue to harvest her blood to use on the rest of the disgusting wolves that roamed the earth. I was certain that once word got out of what was happening, it would be harder to get to the others, but we would eventually get to them.
“Sweet freedom,” I murmur, turning my gaze to my minions. “Soon, we will have sweet freedom from this darkness.”
At my words, the crowd erupts in cheers again, and I feel like I’m their queen. To have them react like this to every single word I spoke left me feeling so damn good that it was almost orgasmic.
“Soon we will walk in the light, and when we do, the world will be ours.”
We wouldn’t stop with just the wolves. We would continue onto all the other supernatural beings that never should’ve existed to begin with. We would make sure that all abominations were eliminated from this world and all that were left were the humans.
“Freedom,” I repeat and wait while my minions repeat the word.
Freedom.
Freedom.
Freedom.
The single word echoes around us like a spell that will bring this very thing to fruition, and when I’m certain that they are ready to do my bidding, I lift a hand and silence them.
“Go forth,” I order, knowing that once the final players arrived we would make our move. “And join Ezekial and Forrest in their battle. Help them to turn anyone who dares to stand in our way so that the path to the girl is open.”
Finished speaking, I watch as the crowd in front of me begins to move, heading in their respective directions, and once I’m alone, I look down at the cauldron and take in the one who would make getting to the girl the most difficult.
“Now what to do with you?” I murmur, taking in his handsome face. “Should I make you my toy while I break and destroy the one that you hold dear? Or should I end you this time?”
