Chapter 53: Inseparable Bond

William's POV

“Honey, I'm home, where are you?" 

"I'm in the bathroom, give me a second.” Amelia said.

“So can I come in?" I asked.

“Yeah, sure." 

“I got you a gift? I can't wait to see it." 

Not quite long, she was done taking a bath, she walked out of the toilet, with a towel wrapped around her chest.

“I can't wait to open them." She said,

Just then, I handed her a big red box, and she quickly took it from my hand.

“You really got this for me?” She was surprised.

“Why don't you open and see what I got for you there." 

She quickly opened it, I watched her smile when she opened it.

“Oh my God, I love this." She said, with a broad smile on her face.

“I knew you would love it." I muttered. " I have one more thing for you.”

"What's that love?” I asked.

She watched me pull out a necklace with a heart shaped diamond.

“I love this gift, it's so cute." She said, 

"I was so sure you would. I'm ready to do all I can to make you smile.” 

I watched her blush. I told her I had one more surprise for her. She became curious.

“Why are all of these surprises today?" 

"I'm sure you know how long we've been dating.”

“Yeah." She nodded.

"Why don't we take the next step.” I said, with a low tone.

“What are you trying to say?" 

" I was thinking... maybe you would like to be my wife…”

“What?" She shouted. " Don't tell me you're proposing.” 

"I am. yes…I know you would think I'm taking a big step and it's too early to do this, but I really can't wait anymore." 

“This is too fast Williams…we should take things slowly.” 

“Why don't you say yes…I really can't imagine life without you.”

“I really don't want to think k this through, but don't you think this marriage thing is a bit too early, we have lots of things to fix before we think about this." She said,

"You're right, then I think I would give something else.”

"What's that?” She asked, curiously.

"You should follow me, I have something to show you.” 

Amelia walked beside me, I held her hand as we walked to the empty room in the house.

“I hope this surprise won't make me cry?" She asked.

"Nah, It won't, It will be a cry If Joy.” I smiled.

I led her to the empty room, where there was a huge bouquet of flowers and there was also a box of chocolate arranged.

“So, what's this all about?" 

"All I wanted to do was to make this day special for you... I know you love chocolate and flowers…”

“Yes, I love them..you got it all for me?" She asked.

"Yeah, and even more.” 

Amelia started crying. She was so happy. It was tears of joy. I was going to do everything to make her happy.

“I know how happy you are but there's one more thing I have for you." 

"You've spoiled me with a gift enough babe, this is enough.” She said,

“All of this can never be enough, if I could buy the whole world for you  I would." 

Amelia stopped crying this time, instead she laughed out loud.

“I want to make this day as special as possible... now... can you close your eyes?”

"Why do I have to close them?” She asked.

"Just do that." I said.

I placed something on her palms then asked her to open her eyes and her hand.

“What's in this box?" She asked.

“I don't know, you can find out for yourself." 

Amelia opened the small box.

" Now tell me, what do you see?” I asked.

“What's this ring for? You just gave me a ring a few minutes ago and I told you I'm not ready." 

"This is a special ring.”

" What makes it special?” 

" Because it's a promise ring…I don't want to rush things as you said, but this ring will be an object of promise to me that you won't leave me. It's a promise ring... I promise that I will always be there for you... that I will always love you…”

Amelia started crying.

“You don't have to cry... It's a happy day... I want you to be happy…” 

She sighed. “I'm trying so hard not to cry, how can I stop this tears from flowing down." 

"Don't worry, sometimes you can't hold the tears back.” I said…”I still have something to tell you." 

Now Amelia sat on the kitchen stool. "What's that?" 

Amelia started smiling, She'd be wondering why I was doing all of this. "Just look at me.” 

" I'm doing just that.”

"I have one more gift... but this one is a surprise... and I don't want you to be disappointed…” 

She sighed heavily. “Now I'm curious. What's it? Just spill it out." 

" Now, I want you to close your eyes again, and you have to trust me this time.” 

I watched her close her eyes, 

“Do you trust me?" I asked.

" Yeah.” She muttered.

“You know how much I love you... and I know you trust me... so I want you to just trust me on this…”

She nodded.

“Now... I want you to count to three…”

"What? Why do I have to do that?” 

"Just do as I say.” I muttered.

"One…two…three…." 

She then opened her eyes.

"Now... Do you trust me enough to let me hold your hand?”

“You keep making me laugh, why won't I?" She said  laughing.

" Keep your hands out now.” I said. "Now... you know how much I love you... and I want to show you how much…”

" How do you want to do that? You keep making me laugh…let's just go inside.” 

But I insisted, so she stretched her hands out. “Keep them out now. Now... I want you to put them back down... but... keep them out of my sight…”

She did that. “You see what you just did, I want you to know I will never leave you, I will never let you out of my sight." 

"I love you so much.” She said, with a low tone.

“You know, I'm so glad you are mine, you have no idea how I feel on top of the world right now. Now I'm going to wait to see what will happen next between us. Despite all we are going to go through, you should never leave me.” 

“You think I'm planning to leave you? I'm not leaving you for no damn person. We're in this together." She muttered.

"See those dimples, you look so cute, you should keep smiling like this always.” I said, before I hugged her so tightly.
