Chapter 94 | Horse riding
Caroline had truly forgotten about what had happened a few days ago, and Dexson felt that Caroline was much better. He even felt happy because Caroline was acting much more affectionate towards him.
"I feel happy when you act like this. I feel that you rely on me. I'm also happy to see you laughing often as if you have no worries," said Dexson as he stroked Caroline's head, which was leaning on his shoulder.
"Dexson, have you prepared everything? For us to go tomorrow?" asked Caroline, making sure that Dexson had prepared everything well.
"Of course, you don't need to worry about that. You just need to have fun there," replied Dexson, making Caroline smile shyly.
Caroline felt that Dexson's attention made her happy and awkward.
"Thank you, Dexson." Dexson just smiled slightly in response to Caroline.
No matter how tired his body was, when it came to Caroline, Dexson would not feel that fatigue.
"I love you so much, Caroline," Dexson said in his heart as he kissed Caroline's shoulder.
Caroline's scent was addictive to Dexson. It made him always crave her and lose control.
"Caroline, you also promised me that you wouldn't get too tired later. And if you feel something unpleasant, you have to tell me right away," Dexson warned Caroline firmly.
"Okay, Dexson. I understand, you've said that to me several times," Caroline grumbled with an annoyed expression.
"Don't worry too much, I'm fine. You say things like that as if I'm seriously ill and don't have long to live," she continued.
Caroline's words made Dexson's body tense up, and it was clear that his expression had turned panicked.
"Don't say things like that. I don't like it," Dexson said firmly as he hugged Caroline tightly.
Dexson was really afraid of losing Caroline.
"I was just joking, Caroline." Caroline replied with a soft chuckle.
"Even if you were joking, I still don't like it." Caroline snorted in annoyance upon hearing that.
"You started it first, with words that made me feel weird. Even though I was fine," said Caroline.
"That's not what I meant. I'm just worried about you and don't want anything to happen to you," Dexson explained.
Caroline sighed, because she thought Dexson was worrying too much about her.
"But I think you're overreacting," Caroline grumbled with an annoyed look on her face.
Dexson was silent for a moment, perhaps realizing that he shouldn't be too overprotective, which would only remind Caroline of the bad things that had happened to her.
"Okay. I'm sorry for being too overprotective. You're fine, and I'll definitely take care of you," said Dexson as he gently rubbed Caroline's shoulder.
Caroline smiled slightly as she enjoyed Dexson's gentle touch.
The next day.
Dexson and Caroline arrived at the best horse farm.
Caroline looked at the horses enthusiastically. There were various types of horses here, both small and large.
"There are several horses that are well cared for, and not everyone can see them. Usually, these horses are used by nobles," explained Dexson, which of course made Caroline smile slightly, because she already knew that.
The best horse here, the strongest one, belonged to her father.
"Do you want to ride it?" asked Dexson, looking at Caroline.
Caroline paused for a moment. She honestly wanted to ride the horse, but she was still a little hesitant. Would the horse obey her or would it be scary?
"Don't worry, I'll take care of you and won't let the horse hurt you," said Dexson, seeing the doubt on Caroline's face.
"Okay, I'll do it. But you have to choose the best one for me," replied Caroline with a smile.
"Of course. Wait here, I'll go get the horse." Dexson's command was met with a nod from Caroline.
Dexson then went to get the horse he usually rode.
Caroline looked at the horse Dexson brought with admiration. The horse looked very beautiful.
"Your choices never disappoint." Dexson chuckled softly at Caroline's compliment.
"Is this horse male or female? It looks very strong but also very beautiful," said Caroline.
"He's male and his color is indeed beautiful," replied Dexson with a chuckle.
Dexson then helped Caroline mount the horse. After that, Dexson led the horse slowly.
Caroline felt a little scared and uncomfortable.
"Dexson, can you ride behind me too?" asked Caroline.
"I'm a little uncomfortable like this," she continued.
Dexson stopped the horse, then gently stroked it.
"Okay. I'll ride," said Dexson, making Caroline happy.
Dexson then rode behind Caroline, hugging her waist while riding the horse.
"This horse seems very obedient to you. Are you skilled and experienced?" asked Caroline with a curious look on her face.
"Yes. I used to practice a lot," replied Dexson, while remaining focused on riding the horse.
"That's amazing," muttered Caroline, which Dexson could still hear.
As usual, Dexson's ears would surely turn red from Caroline's praise.
"I might lose focus if Caroline keeps praising me and making me happy," Dexson said to himself, shaking his head. He also tried to resist smiling and remained calm.
"I think we've gone too far, Dexson. Do you remember the way?" asked Caroline.
"Don't worry, you don't need to be concerned." Dexson certainly wouldn't forget the way home. He had passed this road so many times, it was impossible to forget.
"I'm used to practicing, and I won't forget the way out. So don't worry," Caroline sighed in relief, of course she didn't want to be stuck in the middle of a scary forest.
