Chapter 30 The Kiss!

Chapter 30 The Kiss!
Lucian stared at her, his eyes widening with surprise, “You…You really don’t remember anything that happened last night, did you?”

Aria blinked at that statement, confusion settling on her once more. She pointed a finger at herself, “Me? Why? What happened last night? What did I do?”

“Well you…” Lucian started, then stopped, his teeth gritted indecisiveness.

Should he tell her?

He recalled how terrified she’d looked the night before.

Hell, he’d even been terrified for her sake.

He’d wondered what on earth she was dreaming about that made her cry so sadly in her sleep.

And then there was also the name that she’d called out.

Kurt Eugene.

Lucian’s brows automatically came down in a light frown, as he thought about that slimy piece of garbage.

The thought that Kurt Eugene, who was currently dating Elara Vaughn, might have in one way or the other been in contact with Aria as well, made his teeth on edge and anger surged through him with an intensity he’d never experienced before.

He did not want her to think about such things in the morning.

Lucian scoffed slightly in disbelief as he watched her.

Her long black hair was in disarray from her sleep but it was still as luscious as it could be.

They framed her heart shaped face beautifully and her green eyes had never been more brighter. Her cheeks were flushed from her unnecessary argument and he could not help but find it cute.

Yep, it was best for her to not remember her nightmare. He did not want her mood to be dampened this morning.

Suddenly, he frowned at his line of thought, “Wait, why the hell am I thinking of her this way? Who cares if her mood dampens or not? Am I already falling for her? Aish! Aria Beaumont, you vixen.”

Aria watched him, her mouth twitched with distaste. She saw how different emotions crossed his face within the space of a few minutes.

First, it was a soft look that had almost melted her insides, then suddenly his face had darkened with anger, and now his eyes were wide with disbelief.

Good God!

All she’d asked was what had she done the night before!

She shook her head, clicking her tongue in distaste, “I knew it! You were lying right?”

Lucian looked up at her, blinking in surprise. He suddenly straightened up and tried to frown darkly at her, to intimidate her, “What do you mean?”

Aria rolled her eyes, “Oh, don’t give me that look. You’re just doing that to get out of the question I asked,” she eyed him suspiciously, “You lied about me disturbing you in my sleep, right?”

Lucian’s face was as hard as Mount Rushmore, “I never lie.”

Aria had had enough.

She sighed and shook her head as she rose in her knees on the bed.

She winced slightly as her leg still felt quite numb. Which was why she cannot let this lying man off the hook.

“Listen, I know you’re embarrassed that you hugged me in your sleep all night, even after proclaiming your allergy to women…” she uttered, making quotes in the air with her fingers, “But that doesn’t mean you should lie about me.”

She finished, pouting, and then crossed her arms defensively.

Lucian’s eyes were immediately drawn to her chest, which had been pushed up by that action.

She was quite ample for her slim, curvy frame.

He swallowed hard, and drew his thighs together under the blanket.

“Hello o. I’m up here,” Aria uttered as she snapped her fingers in his face, bringing his gaze back to her face.

Her cheeks turned bright red as she scoffed in disbelief and quickly grabbed her robe from the hanger beside the bed.

She wrapped it securely around her body, while glaring at Lucian, “Hah! Allergic to women, my foot! You’re really a lustful monster, aren’t you?”

Lucian cleared his throat and tried his best to look innocent, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Aria sighed in frustration as she started to climb down from the bed, “You just keep deluding yourself with that statement, you hear me,” she laughed, “But don’t blame me for your own actions, okay?”

She came down from the huge bed, and was about to head into the bathroom.

But her legs were still numb and gave way under her as soon as she took a step.

“Argh!” Aria shrieked as she started to fall.

“Be careful!” Lucian called in alarm.

In the blink of an eye, he was out of the bed and behind her. She fell right into his arms, her eyes wide with surprise and shock.

“What the…” she breathed as he lifted her up in his arms, bridal style.

“Are you okay?” He asked, worry etched on his face as he looked down at her.

Aria nodded, still in disbelief.

Then she paused, “Hold on a second,” she uttered as her eyes slowly trailed down to the ground.

She gasped loudly, her hands coming up to cover her mouth, “Lucian, you are standing! You’re actually standing!”

Lucian looked down at his feet at that moment, and it felt like a gong went off in his head, and his feet received the signal.

The next second, they caved underneath him.

“Arghh!!!” Aria shrieked as they both tumbled back on the bed. The fall had them collapsing on each other and their lips crushed against each other.

It was as though time froze for both of them then, as they stared at each other with wide open eyes.

Each were afraid to move, lest the softness of their lips will register on their brains and they would not be able to stop themselves then.

Aria was a bit out of breath, however.

Lucian’s weight was heavy on her and her back was pressed in an uncomfortable position on the mattress.

She gasped softly, and Lucian took that as an invitation, capturing her lips with a fervency that left her even more breathless.

In an instant, her arms were wrapped around his neck, while her fingers were intertwined in his luscious locks.

Gasps and stifled moans filled the air as the kiss went on and on. Lucian’s hands were everywhere, and her body arched willingly towards him.

He pulled her towards him, so she was directly on top of him.

He could not get enough of her.

Her scent filled his nostrils, and the softness of her skin was nearly making him go mad.

Suddenly, the door to the room flung open, and Zach ran in with a party horn.

“Welcome back to the land of the living, Lucian!” He yelled, just as his eyes landed on the bed, and he stopped dead at the scene.
