Chapter 29 He Should Initiate It!
Chapter Twenty-Nine
The next morning, Aria found herself wrapped snugly in bed with Lucian.
His arms were around her tightly and her head was right under his jaw. She could feel the deep rumble of his chest anytime he breathed and it sent a delicious thrill down her spine.
Aria glanced down at their very intimate position and scoffed in disbelief.
“Who was it that said he was allergic to a woman’s touch?” She muttered to herself, “Now he wraps himself around me all night.”
Lucian was still sound asleep, his breathing rustling her hair softly. She took that opportunity to look at him fully once more.
Even with his eyes closed, he had the features of an Adonis. His high cheekbones and long hair almost gave off a feminine vibe, but his masculine square jaw balanced everything.
His full lips looked very kissable at the moment and she could not resist grinning at the thought of what would happen when he wakes up to find her kissing him.
“He would nearly lose his mind,” she thought giggling to herself, but then she stopped giggling as soon as she had started, as another thought popped into her head.
He might lose his mind.
Or…
He might very well decide to ravish her there and then.
She was very sure the latter would be the outcome, judging from the very hard bulge that was poking against her thigh at the moment.
“Why was he always aroused?”Aria wondered, blinking innocently as her cheeks turned slightly pink, “I better move away from him before he wakes up. No kissing him, Elara.”
Despite her fierceness and given attitude, Elara was really not ready for things like this.
Kurt had been very stingy with anything romance in their relationship. He always claimed that he was like that because he did not want her to think he was with her for her body.
Many a times, he had left her aroused and starved for his touch.
“When the time is right, Elara,” he would always say, “I want our first time to be very special. And you seem not to be comfortable with it as well, so let’s just drop it for now.”
Elara had always wondered how she had seemed not to be comfortable with it, when she’d always practically initiated it herself.
She tried everything she could and even started feeling like she was not sexually attractive to the man she loved.
Finally, she chalked it up to Kurt just being very considerate of her and thinking of her own needs first.
But it had all been a lie and a big facade.
The bastard had been sleeping with her best friend all along. He did not seem very shy, ravishing her nor was he passive when he was with Vera.
Elara had found a video recording of both of them together in bed. She had been so consumed with fury and had tried to confront Eugene.
When she arrived at the house, she had been hit over the head and blacked out. By the time she opened her eyes once more, she found herself strapped to a chair.
Aria found out that her fists were clenched in fury as she recalled all these and she quickly let go with a sigh.
She turned to look at Lucian once more, a wistful look in her eyes.
“Nope, not this time.” She muttered to herself, “I will let him be the initiator this time.”
Even last night, he’d called her a dishonorable woman.
Aria had not thought anything about it then and she did not think much about it now, but she was going to let him take the lead this time.
She tried to move away a bit but Lucian’s arms wrapped tighter around her, forcing her to remain on the bed by his side.
“Huh. Quite possessive, are you?” She looked up at his sleeping face, gently tapping bridge of his nose, as a light smile tugged on her lips.
Lucian stirred and murmured in his sleep, “Do not worry, Aria Beaumont. I will keep you safe.”
Aria froze, her brow furrowed in confusion at what he’d said.
Keep her safe? From what?
Aria had no idea of what had happened the night before, nor did she remember crying and thrashing about on the bed.
She was about to move from his arms once more when she realized that her leg was numb.
It had gone dead due to the position that’s she’d been in during the night.
“Ow!” She cried out softly but Lucian awakened immediately.
“What?” He asked groggily as he sat up in bed, lifting her unto his lap simultaneously, “What is it?”
Aria stared at him in surprise, “What the hell?” She asked, forgetting all about her numb leg for minute.
Lucian blinked slowly to clear the sleep from his eyes, only to find Aria sitting on his lap, and then he realized what he’d done.
With one shove, he pushed her off his thighs, and she landed back on the bed with a yelp.
“Argh! You brute! Why did you have to do that?! And my leg is numb!” She moaned in anguish.
Lucian cleared his throat ominously, his ears turning red as he looked away from her, “I told you to keep your distance from me.”
Aria could not believe her ears, “Hah!” She laughed in disbelief, “You’ve got to be kidding me. Who was it that wrapped himself around me all night, causing my leg to go numb?”
Lucian turned to look at her sharply, “Well, that was the only way I could make you sleep and stop disturbing me. How dare you act so ungrateful?”
Aria laughed in disbelief once more, “What a joke!” She shot back, “When I sleep, I’m literally like a flower petal. I do not disturb anyone in my sleep and I always stay on my side of the bed. How dare you think you can get away with this sort of lying?”
