Chapter 114 Get Rid Of Both Of Them!

Chapter 114 Get Rid Of Both Of Them!
Chapter One Hundred And Twelve

The police soon arrived at the scene and Vera and Selena were taken in for questioning, despite Selena’s begging.

Vera kept up her dignity all through, refusing to beg either Kurt or Zaria. She knew without a doubt that Kurt would come through for her later.

He dared not abandon her.

She knew everyone of his secrets and if he deed to mess with her, she would make sure he paid dearly.

Kurt watched as she was taken away and his jaw clenched with anger.

The crowd were already dispersing as soon as they saw that the drama was over.

He spied Aria and Lucian leaving as well and he ran up to them, preventing them from getting into their car.

Lucian frowned at the interruption, “Move!” He growled, annoyed at the very sight of Kurt.

It seemed to Kurt that Lucian harbored a deep hatred for him, but he could not just place how or when he’d offended the man.

But for now he had to maintain his public image and also try to get close to Aria Beaumont, so he would know just how best to destroy her.

He was breathing hard now from his little run, and he made a great show of this, as if he’d endured a lot to come talk to them.

“What the fuck do you want?!” Aria asked rudely.

“I said, move!” Lucian ordered once more, arching a well shaped brow at Kurt’s audacity.

Kirt shook his head, “Forgive me, Mr Graves,” he started, “But I just felt like I needed to apologize once more. Vera was my partner tonight, therefore whatever she did also had a reflection on me. I should have known she was like that all along. It’s all my fault.”

“Indeed.” Lucian chuckled dryly, “Of course it’s your fault. Did you really think I would let you go scot free after everything?!”

Kurt looked surprised, “Wh…what? I don’t understand…”

Lucian asked closer to him to say in his face, “You were with Vera when she tried to harm my wife and now, you even dare to come beg on her behalf?” He growled, “Kurt Eugene, I will make your life hell!”

Kurt was very much flabbergasted.

Normally, when a person humbles themselves to apologize to another, it places the one to whom the apology is made, in some kind of position where they have nothing to do except accept the apology immediately.

This was what every normal person in the world would have done.

Where on earth did Lucian Graves and Aria Graves come from?

Why would they not fall for his charm and thorough brilliance?

Every other person he’d come across and used this method for had forgiven him instantly, and it made him get close to them for more manipulation.

But not these two here.

At this point, since his tactic did not exactly go as planned, he was suddenly speechless.

Aria smirked at him, as she got into her car. Zach and Lucian gave him the same cold looks as they got into the car as well.

Kurt was convinced now, that he’d done something to offend Lucian and Aria.

But what the fuck was it?!

“Ugh! This shit making me so stressed out!” He thought to himself in fury, “Dammit, I have other things to do than to worry about those motherfuckers. Why do I have to think about them? Why do I have to worry about them, for God’s sake?!”

Soon, the car was driving down the road, leaving dust in its wake.

Kurt stared after the car for a long time with resentment, then turned on his heels, marching towards his own car.

The entrance to the hotel was completely empty now, with all the guests gone in their cars and to their various locations.

To Kurt, the night had being a total bust.

He had lost the acquisition bid and lost face in front of the board of directors, his partner and girlfriend was arrested before his very eyes and he could not establish a proper relationship with Aria Beaumont.

That was exactly why he was so angry.

Aria Beaumont was still far from him, and he was not sure he’d ever get closer to her.

“Dammit!” He swore under his breath, “Fuck you, Vera.”

He got to his car and was about to open the door when a shadow fell across the car.

He looked up to find himself staring into the face of a smiling Nathan.

“That was excruciating to watch.” Nathan uttered, cocking his head towards the direction in which Lucian’s car had driven, “Very hard set of people they both are, aren’t they?”

Kurt remained silent, watching Nathan through narrowed eyes.

He did not know what Nathan was up to, and he knew the only way to find that out was to let the man keep talking.

Nathan smiled at his silence then ticked his hands in his pockets , assuming a very relaxed stance, “ Weren’t you just overwhelmed with frustration at everything that happened today?” He asked, “You lost the bid, lost your partner, lost your place in the Vaughn Empire…”

“What the fuck are you talking about?” Kurt finally reacted, growling in Nathan’s direction, “I never lost my place!”

Nathan threw back his head and laughed, “Oh will you relax? I’m on your side. Can’t you see that?”

Kurt still stared at him suspiciously, “What the hell do you mean by that?” He inhaled deeply, his shoulders relaxing a bit, “From what I know, you’re a part of the Graves family. Why would you be on my side?”

“Because I’m sick and tired of Lucian Graves and Aria Beaumont too,” Nathan suddenly snarled, transforming from the smiling bespectacled man to a vicious one, “I want to be rid of both of them. I want them gone. Both of them!”

He was breathing hard now, with his eyes raised towards the sky as though he was seeing something there.

Kurt watched him with a strange expression.

Nathan sounded extremely crazy.

Hell he even looked extremity crazy at the moment. If it were anybody else it would have been in his best interest to turn away and drive off, but not Kurt.

The words which Nathan had said earlier had stirred up a deep interest in him.

Getting rid of Lucian Graves and Aria Beaumont.

Nathan was right.

Those two had been the cause of everything that had happened tonight.

If Aria had not suddenly appeared the way she did, then he would not have lost the bid. If he had not lost the bid, and she’d not acted like a royal butch, then Vera would not have been so provoked.

If Vera was not provoked enough to do the things she did, then she would not have been arrested.

If Lucian had stayed absent, away from the event like he did all night, then Vera would not have been arrested.

He would not be feeling doomed now just by thinking of what he would face in Vaughn Emouee later.

He would be rejoicing now but those two people ruined everything.

Aria Beaumont and Lucian Graves.

Yes it was best to get rid of them.

Nathan was looking at Kurt, noting that the latter was lost in thought.

He  smiled creepily, “Isn’t that what you want too?”
