Chapter 42 Expel
Naomi
I knew that Mr Rex joining me for this cleaning was going to bring me a lot of problems. Yet, what I did not expect was someone actually seeing us working and taking it to the staff. Not only that, but it was taken to Calix. I was about finishing up the last toilet when someone pushed open the door.
Calix showed up in front of the toilet door, her hands crossed around her chest and looking at me. A deep scowl on her face. It was mixed with something dangerous.
“ You had someone here to do your work for you, even after you were told by the school council not to let anyone do the work for you. Just trying to prove stubborn or what?”
When I didn't answer, she stared at the empty hallway like she was looking to see someone emerge from one of the toilets. Well, Mr. Rex left a while ago.
She turned back to me.
“You saw this coming, but you ignored it. You are going to have what is coming for you.” She flung her hair behind her head and turned to leave.
Thinking that this may be my only chance to get an answer or answers. I needed to get it before waiting for whatever she had for me.
“I need to ask you a question. I want you to answer me with all honesty.”
I was not here to play around with her. I just wanted to know why she hated me this much without even knowing me.
“ What exactly did I do, for you to give me this kind of treatment? You think that I'm less of a human and you can treat me however you want. We have never been friends. I have thought about it over and over again and I couldn't see a time that we had a grudge or something of that nature but you decided to hate me so much…”
Then I looked down at my hate. The one she hated just like she hated me.
“...or is it because of these marks that I carry on my arm? Marks that I didn't create. Is it because of them that you hated this much?”
She only looked at me, with no answer. But I didn't stop.
“I see no reason why these marks should bother you.”
For a moment, I saw something dark cross her eyes but she quickly covered it with that sinister look she always had on her face.
“ I don't even have time for you today, just go away and wait for what is coming for you. Your friend Zara left and it is high time for you to leave too. the side of you makes me think about it so much. I can just choke you up; I will do exactly that if you don't leave my side.”
She walked past me. I stood there with a question that was yet to be answered.
The thoughts of what she said, played in my mind.
What exactly was that?
I had never met her before coming to this school or even do anything to her while I was here.
I decided to put everything at the back of my mind and went to class.
The day didn't go to an end as i though it will.
I got served an expulsion letter from the disciplinary cancer telling me never to come back to Sandalwood High because I disobeyed the members and assaulted one of their students. If I was kept in school this attitude was going to continue for a long time.
So, I took all my stuff and left and hurried home.
I tossed the school bag to the bed wnd laid down next to the bag, with my school uniform still on
I might have cried myself to sleep because a knock at my door woke me up.
I heard Ma'a's voice. I made no attempt to look at the door where she was.
what was I going to tell her? she has done so much for me to get into this school and I got expelled for trying to fight back, for trying to protect my peace.
This was everything I had, although it has been hell for me. I just wanted to graduate and leave, but now, this happened. What was I supposed to do?
Realization hit me and I immediately sat up right.
I had come with the letter and keep it on the bed. I tried to get a hold of it, but she already grabbed it.
This might just bring her some problems which I was not ready for.
She had the letter in her hand already. She looked at me with skeptical brows .
“What is this Naomi?”
Accusation was filled in her voice like she knew I had done something despicable for them to expel me but the only thing I did was to stand up for myself that was all.
“I didn't do anything wrong, Ma'a.”
I quickly defended myself. “sure you didn't do anything..” He looked at the letter then me.
“What is this letter doing in this house? or was it presented to someone that has the same name as yours and you kind of mistakenly brought it home.
She was going to give me a solid slab if I did not begin to explain myself in the next minute.
“I only slap my group leader because she slapped me back, after she tried to make me go into the dark all by myself “
A look of distain crossed her face.
I told him not to help me and look at what he did. He was probably somewhere now enjoying himself while i was exposed and Ma'a was mad.
“It's nothing, Naomi. I am going to fix this. You will go back to school tomorrow and if anyone tries anything with you, just let me know. I have told you time and again to stop indulging yourself with these people: they are not you, you are not them. Leave them alone.”
There she goes again. I do not base my mind on what she was saying . My problem was how she was going to fix it. She had no authority.
Not even the one who got me expel.
She is the grandchold of the owner of the school and also the grandchild of president Polivan
:Do you think you stand any chance against them? This is going to fall back on us.”
She'll walk and place her hand on my shoulder.
“Like I said, don't worry about it, I am going to fix it. Leave everything to me.”
She was going to fix it. How did she plan on doing that?
These people were powerful and dangerous.
“They wouldn't hesitate to throw you around like you mean nothing and especially when someone like Calix was in the picture.”
This was just going to make everything difficult.
But I knew that, no matter what I said, Ma'a was not going to change her mind about anything.
I just had to let her do whatever she wanted to do.
