Lucy

I knew I had been given a huge responsibility and it had almost felt like Gabi had just given me back a part of myself. I couldn’t explain it though. For once I did not feel weak or the pitied one, I was a strong warrior given a difficult mission. A mission that was of utmost importance. I had to infiltrate the asshats that had taken me prisoner and deliver a blow right to where it hurt them the most. Their wallets. I would say their balls but many of these assholes had none. That is why they prayed on those that couldn’t defend themselves. And now, Gabi was giving me the in that I desperately needed to gain back my confidence and strength. Until sweet Roman opened his fat mouth.

“ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?!?!?!” He roared out in anger. What many couldn’t hear was the panting that told everyone that he was seconds from shifting and letting the beast out.

“Sam, are you serious right now? What if this was your mate huh? What if this was any one of your mates? Huh? Would you be so willing to send them in?” Though he had a point, I understood the delicate need that this mission called for. Many other women wouldn’t be prepared and would succumb to the struggles. I had lived it, I knew what to expect. I was the best fit but in his anger fueled rage Roman could not think properly. Though Levi, seated on the other side of me, was sitting there in deep thought. I could tell he agreed with Roman but the logical side of him explained the pros and cons in a manner that was not personal.

“Roman, please let us finish….” Samuel said, attempting to calm down his raging brother.

“No, you are finished because it is not fucking happening. She is not going back in there….” Roman again growled out, still puffing out his chest. This time it was on me. And the look that Gabi was giving me gave me all the strength I would need.

“Yes. Yes I am Roman…” I said and looked around the room. The eyes of the members present where both of awe and surprise. Except Gabi, Gabi was giving me the ‘you go get them girl’ look. And that was exactly what I was about to do. I was about ready to rain down hell on their entire coorporation.

“Listen to me Roman. Please. I need to do this. For my sanity. This isn’t a punishment, it is an opportunity to take back what they took from me. And only I can take it back you cannot take it back for me. You will let me do this.” I told him sternly.

“I am sorry Lucy, BUT LIKE FUCKING HELL…” He began to yell at me and I could see his fingers elongating and taking shape of his wolfly beast.

“Alpha Samuel, Luna Gabi. Can we please have Roman removed. I would like to hear the rest of the plan. He will not see reason until he has no choice to.” I say as detached as possible. It was killing me to suggest that my mate be taken back to the cells but there was no other choice. He would not listen to me nor anyone else at this table until he was forced to.

“I think we can accommodate that request.” Gabi replied sweetly before looking at Celeste and Adrik. Celeste began to chant, and my mother quickly joined her.

Meanwhile Adrik was moving closer before resting a hand on his shoulder as Roman had begun to thrush about attempting to shift. Levi had a protective grip on my hip prepared to move me if I was close to danger all while attempting to convince Roman that he needed to calm himself.

“Roman calm the fuck down. If you don’t they will throw your ass back into the damn cells.”

“FUCK YOU. LUCY, I SAID FUCKING NO. LEVI I SWEAR IF ANYTHING HAPPENS…” Roman roared. The man was so angered that he couldn’t even form a coherent thought. I feared even saying another word. I had upset him this time and I was the cause for this hurt and anger.

Once Adrik had placed a firm and punishing grip onto his shoulder I could hear him whisper into his ear.

“Sleep”

The moment that his body slumpt over onto the table, I heard a soft knock onto the door.

“Come in Thaddeus.” Samuel said.

“Take him back to the cells, please. Place him gently on the bed, and DO NOT DRAW ON HIS FACE.” He said looking at his friend.

“You take all the fun out of everything.” Thaddeus muttered under his breath as he left with Roman tossed carefully over his back.

“I am sorry everyone. I guess I should have taken that back to our room and discussed it privately with him.” I said looking at everyone in the room.

“You have nothing to be sorry for Lucy. He is doing what any mate would do. When we have a mate we become overly protective over them. And I can honestly say Lucy, that if the situation was based on my mate I would feel the same way and probably go just as crazy.” Alpha Samuel explained and the nods of approval were evident as every male in the room also nodded.

“But then why didn’t you?” I asked without stopping myself.

“Trust me Luce I wanted to. But logic overruled. That and a whispering sister.” Levi said, giving my hand a strong squeeze then looking at his sister who had a guilty look on her face.

“What, I couldn’t have you going all domineering on me. Plus you know that we are right. Plus I needed you to stay here and listen to the damn plan.” Gabi said unabashedly.

“Okay so what is this brilliant plan of yours that will help me stay face to face with my mates.” Levi said, smirking at his sister's sarcastic ways.

“So. Lucy, as much as I admire your tenacity. I do not want you going in fully alone. For this I want to send in someone that is just as strong and determined. I was thinking maybe you, Savenia. You would be able to keep Lucy sane and help her deal with the trauma of her past but also with your expertise I was hoping that you could go in from a military standpoint. Look for choke points, strong holds. You know the works. But I also want you to assist when the time comes to get the woman and if any children out safely. Lucy, since you have been there before I am going to want you to do your best to identify who you can. Then when the time comes helping to get the women out safely.” Gabi said, looking between Savenia and I.

“I am down.” Savenia said with amusement dancing in her bright yellow eyes.

“Not even going to consider my feelings on this are you?” Alec said, looking at Savenia then back to Gabi.

“Do you have a better candidate than a demon?” Gabi questioned.

“Well no, but you could have at least talked about it and listened to suggestions.” Alec snided.

“Oh shut up you. You have absolutely no control over what I do. So, hush and let the grown up talk.” Savenia said standing up and looking down at a speechless Alec.

“Oh you're gonna see grown up, when we get back to my room tonight.” Alec said with a promise of retribution.

“Okay, so I am also going to talk to one of the Rogues that I saw practicing with us. I think he will be a great fit to join in on the mission. He will serve as the one that ‘Captures’ you and brings you to the dens. He will then stay on to be a guard. He is going to be your guys back up. So, unless your life is in jeopardy do not out him. We only have one chance at this not going to hell and a hand basket. Celeste, do you and Amethyst think that you can conceal Savenia’s true nature? Maybe make her scent that of a witch. We will also need to give you contacts to cover your eyes, because anyone sees those eyes and they will automatically know that you are not who you say you are.” Gabi asked. I could swear that she never needed to breathe. She was able to speak a million miles a second, without even considering taking a breath.

“I do not think that would be too hard..” Adrik said with a large smirk. “Since this room is full of secrets that come out, Savenia?”

Looking at Savenia, I could see the confliction on Savenia’s face before she relented and took a long breath before beginning. “I am not just a demon” she said and within seconds her power began to flow out of her. The distinct aura of a strong and powerful witch. I could also tell that around her the wolves began to sniff the air. It was obvious that they could smell the slight differences.

“My mother was a witch. From a very prominent family. When she was in her younger years she went to a nightclub and met my father…”Savenia began to explain before she was cut off by Adrik.

“Since this is apparently the tables of truth. Her mother met me. I am Savenia’s father. BUT if this information ever leaves this room, I will know and trust me you will be praying for the fires of hell. I have not even told this to Savenia. There is only one other person that knows and he is dead. He took my secret to his grave to protect Savenia as well as myself.” Looking to a very shocked Savenia he further explained. “Stefan was my most trusted advisor. He had known from the moment he had seen her. He watched over her in her formidable years and when we needed to step in we did. Then to keep her safe as anybody wanting to get one up on a demon would obviously go for family. Stefan stepped in to take over the father role for me. Though we did have many discussions when it came to her care. But I am sorry, Savenia. I should have told you sooner. I just did not want to harm you or soil your memory of Stefan. He loved you like a father and you already know that I do too.”

Adrik took a deep breath before returning his gaze back to the rest of the room. “I met her mother in one of my night clubs. We had a very brief and by that I mean a one night kind of brief. She was gone by morning. When I finally tracked her down we talked about a relationship. Several days later told me to go back to hell and that she had found her promised one. I didn’t know about Savenia until the day she was born. I felt the sudden pull to her. But the coven she was in had a block. I could not enter without calling on the demonic side of me. So I did not get to see her till she was in grade school. That is when Stefan took over as her guard. I gave her her space until the night when she was attacked. After that she came to us and I was never letting her go. Especially after she told Stefan about her upbringing. I was furious.” Adrik stated.

“So I am a demon/witch hybrid. I hide my witch side because it is easier with my eyes but also because of my upbringing. I do not like Covens and witches. No offense Celeste.”

“No offense taken, my child. But we will discuss this later and we can discuss this. I too would like to ensure that this is dealt with.” Celeste replied.

“But either way I have the ability to hide my demon or witches' side. All but my eyes.” Savenia stated before looking back to Gabi.

“Well then contact it is. But I do want you to hide your Demonic side. We may need that to safely get the women and children out of there. But, we will need to find a way to give you a magical boost. Is there even such a thing?” Gabi said, looking at Celeste.

“Yes.” Celeste, my mother, Savenia, and myself responded in unison. What had surprised me though was that Alec too had responded with a strong and confident yes. When Savenia turned around to look at him, he simply smirked and gave her a wink.

“Well then it is settled. Savenia and Lucy will go into the Dens. I would like for this to happen by the end of the week but I will say if we need the time, that we can push it to 2 weeks. Would that give everyone enough time to get their businesses in order?” Gabi asked the table.

“Yes, Queen. I think that would be best. 2 weeks gives us plenty of time to conduct the ceremony to increase the power and get everyone ready.” Celeste stated.

“Okay then it is settled. Lucy, I would like you to see Doc. I want you to undergo intense therapy to prepare. I do not want you going in there and suffering. Also we will need to come up with something for you too to do so that you are not touched sexually. If either of you two are touched. I will never hear the end of it, nor would I ever be able to forgive myself. I would also like for one of you to go in and get ‘Pregnant’ rather quickly. This will give us the chance to observe both sides. But stay alert you two.” Gabi said.

“We will discuss this continuously for the next couple of weeks and solidify our plans. Antony, we need to know the roundabouts of where those dens are. Also need to know how we can get eyes in there and on our girls. Can you do that?” She looked to her brother.

“Yeah, that seems plausible. Don’t worry Luce, I got you covered.”

“Okay then, we adjourned for lunch. But get back here within 2 hours and we will begin to tackle the rest of our agenda for the day. Thank you, everyone.” She said.

With that everyone stood up and began to stride out of the room. After almost everyone was left, I was left with Gabi, Sam, Levi, Alec and Savenia.

“We got this girl.” Savenia told me, squeezing my shoulder while Levi hugged me to his side.

“You are extremely brave Luce, you both are. And remember that we are all here for both of you at the end of the day.” Alec said, hugging Savenia to his side but looking at me.

“When you go in there this time Luce…” Gabi began to say.

“I know keep my head down.” I cut her off.

“Hell no! Give them hell. Take back all they have done to you and show them what you are really worth.” Gabi said. “You know you truly have a problem talking with me. Always cutting me off thinking that I will not encourage you.” She replied with a giggle.

“I agree with my girl. You show them who you are and what you are made of. We will support you.” Alpha Samuel stated. “Oh and Luce…” He said, waiting for me to respond.

“Yeah?” I responded.

“This time when you come home, you're coming home with my niece. So take this time and get your home ready.”
