Chapter 91 Untitled Chapter
OMG! That is the most terrible thing Amy has ever said to me. I am not a monster, and I can never practice evil things with my pack members, yes. They deserve to be punished for what they did, but not as horribly as this.
“Are you out of your mind, Amy? You have never said this kind of thing before. How did you even think about it? This is so creepy.”
But instead of laughing it out like she would always do whenever she jokingly suggested a bad thing. Amy didn't laugh. She stood her ground and was even upset that I was against her suggestion.
“This is the best thing to do, Amelia, and you must do what I said.” Honestly, she scares me now. How on earth did that even come into her head? This isn't the Amy I know.
“Stop it, girl; I am not going to do what you said.” I quickly blocked the connection with her so she wouldn't take over my mind and carry out that evil thing in her head.
“Since you came to work this morning, what have you guys done in your department?”
“Nothing, Alpha Amelia, we haven't done anything yet. Because the manager told us that we should take a break, as there isn't anything new to advertise.”
“And instead of you guys doing research on how to improve your department and make it one of the best in this company, you choose to use the little time you have to gossip about your alpha, correct?”
“Please forgive us, Alpha Amelia. That was a mistake, and we will never do it again.”
Apology accepted, but they must be punished.
“I will give you guys an assignment, and I want to see it on my desk before the day ends. Write 100 pages of an apology letter to me and my mate. And get this into your head: none of your letters should be the same. All content must be different. And if any of you fail to follow the instructions I gave, all of you will lose your jobs and be demoted to the lowest-rank members in this pack.”
The lowest-rank members in this pack are the servants, and none of them will want to be turned like that.
“We will submit it to your desk in a few hours. Thank you for punishing us this way. You are the best.”
Pfffft. The best? I'm not the best. If they want to see the evil side of me, then they should skip even one instruction from what I gave them.
As I left the department, my phone went off. I picked it out of my pocket, and the name that displayed on the screen stunned me. What in the name of the moon goddess does Hams want with me now? And why is he calling me?
Nevertheless, I answered the call to hear whatever nonsense he had to say.
“Alpha Amelia Brook, this isn't how things are done. You didn't even bother to give me a call to say that you guys arrived at your pack safely.”
How is that his business?
“You know, I was upset and thought of invading your pack to take away those servants from you. But I decided to give you a call to know your reason. Maybe something urgent came up that made you forget to call me.”
“Really? Oh, Hams, you shouldn't have changed your mind. You should have found your way into this pack and see as I shatter you into pieces.”
The audacity! He even has the guts to say in my ears that he wanted to invade my pack.
Anyway, it was too easy for Hams to release those servants to us. I knew that there must be something on his mind that he was planning to do. Hams that I know will never, ever be that soft, especially now that he harbors a dark magic.
“I underestimated you, Amelia. I didn't know you were this smart. Did you know that yesterday at midnight, I wanted to take Axel and those servants out of your pack? But something stopped me, blocking the connection between me and them. Did you by any chance block the portal that will make me take control of them?”
Hahahaha. I knew the idiot was going to do that. Now he knows that I am not a fool. I know all the things he is always planning to do. Had it been that I wasn't smart enough to block that portal yesterday, we would have woken up this morning and found them missing again.
“Wake up, jerk. You must know that I am Alpha Amelia Brook, and I possess the power gifted to me by the Moon Goddess. So, combine that power with my natural intelligence and tell me if I am dumb or smart.”
That dude should have died in that sect. I just hate him, and I know that he is definitely going to be my setback in everything if he is still alive.
“I know, right? But this isn't the end, Amelia. I will make sure that I wipe out your pack and make you a slave in my pack. You will worship me like you worship the moon goddess, and you will answer to my command as your leader. By the time I am done with you, you will regret betraying me, ditching our wedding, and marrying my twin brother instead.
Do you think I have already forgotten about it? Absolutely not. I will never forget the day that you and Hans exchanged wedding vows in front of me, making me look like a clown in front of all the members from the packs who were present there. You and Hans must pay dearly for this. And get ready, your end is near.”
Hearing him talk that way was so funny that I ended up laughing at him and disconnected the call. My end isn't near; it is his end that is near, and very soon I will kill Hams.
Stepping out of the company building, my eyes darted to the parking lot where Hans was standing. I could hear his soft voice, chuckling with someone standing in front of him. Because he was tall and broad, I didn't see who he was laughing with until he stepped to the right, and my eyes fell on Matilda.
