Chapter 67 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 67 Untitled Chapter
“Inspection?” Matilda lifted a brow, signaling to me to go inside. But as soon as I turned to go inside, the man grabbed my hand.

“She smells like us, but she doesn't have our mark.”

Ahhh! Not again! Can't he just carry out his inspection and leave? I am so tired already from the sudden shock I have been getting today.

“Of course she is,” Matilda chuckled, pulling my hand away from the man. “She also has the mark, but not on her neck.” She wrapped her hand around my shoulder. “You know everyone has the mark in a different place.”

“I don't believe you. Look at her; she even looks familiar.” He compressed his eyes, staring at me like a camera, but I hurriedly lowered my head before he could realize it was the same person he was talking about.

I know he must have seen my picture on the internet, and I regret posting it.

“I can only believe you when I see the mark. Show me!” he commanded, placing the book in his hand on the nearby desk.

I shuddered, stepping backward as he jerked towards me, trying to hold my shirt. That won't happen again. I won't allow him to take off my shirt and embarrass me like that mean lady did.

“If you dare lay your filthy hand on me, you will regret it!” I snapped, pointing a finger at him.

Matilda sighed. She stepped between us, blocking the way.

“Calm down, Mr. Wood. She has it on her private part. Do you want to strip her so you can see what the leader has given her? You know it is against the rules. But if you insist on looking at the mark she has on her boobs, then go ahead, but you shall regret it after I report it to the leader.”

Matilda is out of her senses. What if he decides he wants to see it? He looks like a pervert who doesn't care about the aftereffects of his action.

“You are lucky,” he glared at me. “Pray we don't cross paths next time because if we do, I will strip you naked!”

Whoa! Another enemy made in two days. Congratulations to me.

“Matilda, you are a nice girl, and I will only leave her because of you. The next time I come for inspection, I don't want to see her here.”

I sighed deeply, shook my head, and went inside the room.

When he was done and had left, Matilda came inside the room and sighed deeply. “I am sorry, Alpha Amelia, they are like this. But I will deal with him the next time he tries this nonsense with you again.”

Deal with him? No, she doesn't look like she can do that. She is so soft to my liking, so I will be the one to deal with them myself.

“Forget that, and let’s discuss how I can go to Casper’s place.”

She sat down, pulled out a book from a drawer, and flipped the pages.

“Are we going to write it down?” I asked because it was obvious she was making a fool out of me.

“Absolutely not, Alpha Amelia, I just want to show you the map of Casper’s house.”

Oh, that.

She showed me a map, very complicated and blurry, thinking I would understand it, but I didn't understand anything in that map.

“This isn't going to work, Matilda. Why don't we just think of another way to get into that house? Maybe by delivering something. Oh, wait, you can deliver laundry to them.”

“But the mansion has a laundry room over there; they do everything there, so it won't work.”

Sighs. This is serious. If only there were a way to take care of Casper today so I would be able to leave this pack today or tomorrow.

“Alpha Amelia, going there by following the map is the only way for us. We will sneak inside through the back door. There is someone among the security who will make sure we get inside there smoothly. If we let this opportunity pass us by, there will be a problem.”

Well, since there is someone she knows, then it won't be a problem.

“Do you hear that?” Amy asked, springing up. I listened attentively, and I heard footsteps outside the room. Then a strong smoky scent filled my nostrils, and I sprang up in alert.

“Matilda? There is someone out there,” I whispered, pointing towards the door. Her eyes widened, and she got up, heading towards the door.

When she opened it, our gaze fell on a deadly stare from the mean lady who came over this morning.

A gasp escaped my lips, and my heart palpitated, knowing that she heard all we were saying.

“Alpha Amelia? I knew it!” She spat, glaring at me. “The first time I saw you in this town, I knew you had come to spy on us.”

Crap! I have been found out!

“And you are coming with me, fugitive!” She grabbed my wrist, but Matilda quickly shut the door.

“Please do not do this, lady; there will be a huge problem if you take her to Casper,” she pleaded in tears.

“I won't let her go. Do you know the huge gift I will get from leader Casper?”

Oh, she is after the gift. Seriously, I want to destroy this lady right now.

“Get your hands off me, lady!” I snapped, shoving her to the floor. My eyes flickered, and when she saw it, her eyes popped out, and she started dragging her butt back.

“You are a monster! Yes! You are Amelia Broo, the monster!” Her fingers tremble as she points at me, and that upset me the most.

Me, a monster? She will never live to repeat this mistake in her life.

“Lock that door!” I thundered, glaring at Matilda, who was frozen in shock. “I said you should lock that door!”

She turned the key, removed it, and put it in her pocket.

“What do you want to do to me, monster?” She cried, dragging her butt towards the wall.

“Amelia, stop that nonsense! You are drawing the demon's attention to us!” Amy snapped, stamping her paws on my mind, but I cut communication with her.

“Amelia, stop!” The voice in my head thundered in my ears, but I ignored it, too.

I raised my hand and snapped my fingers, and a huge fog floated above it.

“Today, I will show you what a monster truly does!”

I threw the fog at her, and she screamed, then passed out.

As soon as she slumped, a heavy knock came on the door.
