There is no way I would see whoever it was that way, but if I don't do as they did, I might get into trouble, so I went down, lowered my head, and when I heard the car door shut, I gently lifted my eyes, and as soon as my gaze fell on him, my heart stopped.
Casper!!
“Members of the Dark Shadows Sect,” his voice rang out, echoing in the silent square. “There is a fugitive among us who has come to destroy our sect!”
My eyes snapped open, and my hands started shaking on the ground. Sweat gathered on my forehead, dripping down my face like a drop of rain.
They've discovered me; what should I do?
“Calm down,” The voice in my head echoed. But how could I calm down? Could anything even get better? First, I was shocked when I found out who is behind the Dark Shadows sect, and now they've found out I am in that town.
Who could have thought that Casper, the former Beta, was the leader of the sect? How did that even happen? He didn't look like a devil; he never even had the strong evil scent.
Was it after he was exiled from the Lunskye pack that he went ahead to reform the sect?
But that's not it. The sect had been reformed since my father's time, but no one knew about it until Rowan attacked.
“Whoever finds them will be rewarded massively.”
Oh no! This is bad!
As Casper was driven out of the Square later, my heart beat in anticipation, and I wanted to go after him as soon as possible. I have to kill him quickly and leave before they find me.
The moment I turned to the direction of the cars to follow them, a soft hand grabbed my wrist. My heart nearly jumped out of my chest because I thought they had already recognized me.
“Why do you look tense, pretty one?” the vampire guy from earlier on asked, one brow lifted. I pulled away from him, trembling in anxiety.
“What do you want?” I snapped, stepping back, eyes rolling in the socket. “Are you afraid of me?” His brows creased, and he pointed to his chest as he walked over to me.
Of course I am! Who in this kingdom isn't afraid of the vampires? The werewolves stay away from them because they are cunning, evil, and only after blood, especially the Alpha’s blood.
“Stop right there, dude!” I yelled, breathing in rage. “Must you talk to me? There are other girls out there who you can hit on; I am not interested!”
The moment he stopped walking towards me, I turned and scurried away. However, it was a long time before I saw him standing in front of me, blocking the way.
My eyes snapped wide in shock, and I staggered back, holding my chest. When did he walk past me? How did he get here?
“You can't run away from me, lady. I want you.”
What! He wants me? Meaning he wants my blood? Could anything even get better? I am not here for this nonsense!
“Amy, what should we do now? If I let him, he is going to suck out my blood,”
“I want to tear him apart, but there is no way we can unleash our power and catch the attention of Casper.” Amy snarled.
The girl was right, but I had to do something to make the vampire stop following me around.
“Amelia?”
Thank goodness!
I stepped away and grabbed Matilda’s hand.
“You are finally here. Get me out of this place!” I whispered into her ear, stealing a glance at the vampire guy whose eyes were so red, and fangs clenched.
“Is he disturbing you?” she asked, stealing a glance at him too. “He is trying to suck me!” Her eyes bulged out, and she covered her mouth in amazement. “Suck you? Out here? That's stupid. You aren't a slut.”
Wait, she misunderstood what I said. “You idiot, I mean suck my blood! Just get me out of here!” I snapped, glaring at her.
She apologized for misunderstanding me, turned to the guy, and frowned at him. “Leave my sister alone, vamp guy, and go find someone else to suck!”
He grumbled, glared at me, and left.
“How did you…”
“I know how to control them. But you shouldn't wander around alone, Alpha Ame…”
“Do not call me Alpha, not here. Do you want to put me in trouble when I am already in? They've given the order to find me!” I whispered worriedly, and she shook her head.
“Do not get scared; these things happen here a lot. If you keep acting suspiciously the way you are doing now, then they will start suspecting you and will come after you.”
Oh, that's it? Then I was scared for nothing. Arrghh!
“Let’s go back to the shop.”
“No, I was going after those cars, Casper’s car. I must find out where he lives and chop off his head.”
“Are you nuts?” she gasped. “You want to go into the devil’s den? They will skin you alive, dude!”
“Me, nuts? Have you already forgotten who you are talking to? Girl, you are in soup! As soon as I am done here and am back in the Lunskye pack, I will make sure you pay for this insult.”
“I am so sorry; please forgive me, Alpha Amelia. I didn’t mean to. I was just paranoid,” she sighed worriedly, holding my hand.
“You can't go there, it is too dangerous. That house is secured with all the creatures in this kingdom, and in their usual form. If you go there now, they will tear you apart, throw you in the wind, suck your blood, and burn you to ashes.”
Jeez! That's so creepy. Is that punishment for only me? Casper is indeed heartless.
She held my hand, “Let’s go back to the laundry shop and plan on how to go there without getting caught.”
I hope she comes up with something good this time.
As we returned to the laundry shop, we got glares from the town’s members walking on the street.
“We are different from them; that is why they are looking at us this way.” Matilda sighed, unlocking the shop.
And that is true, their skins were not pure white, they were a tone, and their hair was all black, unlike Matilda and me, who have red hair.
My natural hair color was black, but when I saw a celebrity's picture on the internet, I decided to dye my hair like hers, and I don't regret it.
