When we stepped out of the Packhouse, the general, other elders, and the elites were all gathered by the car, and when they saw me, they bowed their heads in respect.
“We wish you luck, Alpha Amelia,” one of the elders said, beaming in delight.
I wonder what is making him smile happily. Dude, I am going out there to either die or be alive. And I expect them to look sad, the way Hans is.
“We know you can do this, Alpha Amelia. You are strong, and you have the power gifted to you by the moon goddess.”
Yeah, that’s more like it. An encouragement.
“Hans will take over the Pack as the leader, and I expect you all to show him the kind of respect you give to me. Understand? ”
My eyes drifted from one of them to the other, watching them nod their heads.
“As it should be,” one of the elders muttered, and that enraged me.
“What nonsense did you just say now? ” I asked, walking closer to him. “Spit it out, old man! And get what you are looking for! ” I snapped, steadying my hand to strangle his neck.
“Amelia?” My eyes darted in the direction where my name was called. I wanted to know the idiot who deemed it fit to call me disrespectfully.
However, it wasn't just anyone; it was the Healer, Healer Matt. He had just come inside the packhouse and saw me that way.
“Watch what you say, Elder; do not provoke my mate! ” Hans snapped at him, and he apologized.
“Forgive me, Alpha Amelia, it was a slip of the tongue.”
A slip of the tongue or what is on his mind? The audacity.
I dismissed them all, as there was no need for them to see me off again. They will only provoke me, and I will be forced to unleash the magic on them.
“So you've decided to go,” he scoffed, drawing my attention to him.
“Yes. What brought you here? ” I folded my arms, looking at him with a smirk.
“To see you off, stubborn child.”
What da! That is an insult to me!
“Healer Matt, you should know that I am your leader and deserve some respect from you! ” I snapped at him, and he sneered.
“Do away with your bad temper, Amelia. Jeez, you are so tough, girl! ”
He bowed slightly to Hans, who was trying to control his laughter.
“I don't want you to see me off; I can go by myself. Go back to your house, old man. Also, I don't need your advice.”
I rolled my eyes at him, scoffed, and walked away.
“Well, that's fine then. May the moon Goddess be with you everywhere you go.”
Amen to that!
I waved to Hans, who was still speaking with the Healer, and he came to me.
“You shall escort me to the outskirts of the pack, and from there, I will find my way.”
He nodded his head, and we entered the car.
“Did you wake up on the wrong side today? ” the Healer teased as we drove past him.
I couldn't help but chuckle at his statement, then I looked out of the window, winked at him with a smile on my face, and waved until we were out of the Packhouse.
As Hans and I sat in the back seat holding hands, we couldn't stop staring at each other in desire.
I didn't wake up on the wrong side, as the healer said; I woke up with a vision and was happy when Hans and I were kissing. But I know the anger was because I didn't get what I wanted.
Earlier on, Hans and I succeeded in getting into bed, kissing, and tapping current from each other’s bodies. The romantic atmosphere was so strong, and all we yearned for at that moment was each other.

When we turned around, repeating what he had said earlier on, and he saw us that way, his eyes bulged out, and quickly, he opened the door and went out.
