Chapter 57 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 57 Untitled Chapter

The paper slipped off my hands, and I staggered back, my heart beating so fast.

“Now you believe what the healer said? You should act fast before they come for you! ”Amy snapped.

“Amelia?”

Hans ran towards me, held my shoulders, and shook me back to my senses.

“It is the Dark Shadows Sect; you must do something about this as soon as possible. I can't afford to lose you. And if you don't want to go, I will go out there, seek their hideout, and wipe them out! ”

No, this can't happen.

Throughout the night, I couldn't sleep. I stayed up, reflecting on the incident that had just happened again.

Why do these things keep happening to me? Just why? This sect wants to make me suffer. All I wanted to do was rule the Pack as their leader, not to fight some demons.

Arrggh!

Anyway, I eventually fell asleep, but it wasn't long until I started having a weird dream. Someone was speaking to me in my sleep; that voice sounded so familiar. Suddenly, a huge, black wolf jumped out of the woods and started chasing me.

Nothing I did scared him away; my power didn't work at it, and I couldn't lift myself off the ground. Out of nowhere, a huge, white arrow was shot at it, and it disappeared.

I stood in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by strange trees that moved as I moved, walked as I walked, and spoke whenever I opened my mouth.

Then I saw a flicker of light from a tunnel ahead of me, and the light kept expanding as I approached it.

Now standing in front of the light, the voice I was hearing before, I started hearing it again. The light shone when the voice spoke and stopped when the voice stopped talking.

I extended my hand to feel it, but my hand fell on a delicate face. Suddenly, the light withered, and now standing in front of me is my mother, Luna Selena.

My eyes popped out, and my heart started beating in excitement.

“Mum? ” My voice cracked, my face creased, my lips twitched, and I broke down in tears. “I’ve missed you so much, Mum. Why did you guys choose to go at the same time? ”

As I wept on her chest, she kept stroking my hair, smiling. Then she lifted my head, steadying my face in front of hers.

“You are bound to fight alone, Amelia; you don't need us. Stand up, go out there, and seek the Dark Shadows’ hideout. You must wipe them out or face the consequences! ”

His voice echoed, and her eyes flickered in blue lights. Then she took my left hand in hers, turned my palm to her, and placed an object on it.

“This is a gift from the moon goddess. It will help you fight the Dark Shadows sect. Listen to your heart, Amelia, listen to your Wolfe, for she will guide you.”

She disappeared, and when the light vanished, her voice stopped.

I looked around, calling for her to return, but got no response. With a broken heart, I fell on my knees, hands clutched to my chest.

“Please come back! ” I wailed, patting my chest.

And from a distance, I heard his voice, Hans’ voice, followed by a soft tap on my shoulder. I looked around, but he wasn't there.

“Amelia, wake up.”

He jabbed me, and my eyes snapped open, gasping for breath.

Hans held me when I sprang up, breathing so hard.

“What is it? ” he asked, looking so terrified, but instead of answering him, I jumped out of the bed, ran towards the dressing table, and stood there, eyes fixed on myself.

“It was her, Amelia; it was Luna Selena. Now you believe what the healer said, right? ” Amy yawned, stretching her paws.

Yes, I believe now. I looked down at my hand, but what she dropped on it wasn't there anymore. However, my heart now feels light, and my power stirred inside me.

All I want to do now is to go out there and wipe out that sect. I must take revenge for the brutal annihilation of my parents.

“Are you alright? ” Hans held my hand, looking so worried.

I turned towards him, held his hands, and in full confidence, said, “I am going out there.” His brows raised in surprise, “You’ve only slept for three hours. What did you see in your dream? ”

Oh, Hans, I saw a lot, and you won't want to hear it.

“But I will need your help,” he said, holding my hand, smiling. “Mention it, and it is as good as done.”

I sighed deeply, glanced at the window, and looked at him. “My pack needs a leader, and there is no one better at it than you. You must stay back here and see that everything moves smoothly in this pack.”

“But I want to go with you. There is no way I would stay right here and allow you to go out there alone. I need to protect you.”

Well, that isn't necessary. For someone who is going to wipe out a sect, I can protect myself from any known and unknown forces.

But he—he doesn't even have any power. Going out there with Hans or anyone from the pack is just like pulling them to their doom. I can't lose them; I must go out there alone.

“Listen to me, Hans, you have to stay back. I don't need anyone to go with me. The moon goddess will guide me there.”

Convincing Hans to stay back wasn't a joke. I had to use all my skills, and the only thing that finally worked was when I said I wouldn't go again and would stay back to be killed if he insisted.

“Trust me, I will come back alive. My pack needs you. You are the only Alpha who will lead them in my absence.”

“I promise you, Amelia, you will be proud of me when you return. But before you go, don't you think we should,”

“Mate! “Amy!” she screamed joyfully, blocking my ears from hearing what Hans mentioned. “Can you keep it down and allow me to hear him? ” I snapped at her, but she wouldn't stop jumping around.

“It is simple, Amelia; Hans wants to mate us; he wants to mark you before you leave,” she gasped and scoffed.

“If you can keep it down, then I will hear it directly from him. But if you don't, then the loss will be yours,” she grumbled and went mute.

“Can you repeat that, please? Amy interrupted me.”

He chuckled softly, wrapped his hand around my waist, and drew me closer to himself.

“I want to mark you,” he whispered into my ear, sending heat to my lower body.
