Chapter 55 Untitled Chapter
I am not a witch, and I can never be a witch. Nobody in my family was a witch, and there won't be any until the world comes to an end.
“Do you know who a witch is? Those who control the minds of the innocents with dark magic! And now,”
I squatted in front of her and held her chin up, but she shut her eyes when it came in contact with mine.
“Tell me who is leading the Dark Shadows sect, and I will let you go!”
“No, I won't tell you. Do whatever you want with me!”
Then be my guest.
I wriggled my wrist, stood straight, and shot a mist at her. She screamed and slumped down, and the prison broke out with their gasps.
“You killed her! ” they cried out, holding onto each other as if that was going to help them escape from me.
“All I want to hear is who the leader of the sect is, as that is the idiot who passed the dark magic to you! ”
“Amelia? “Amy,” she called, her heart pounding like a drum in wrath. “They won't confess; just kill them all! ”
Yes, I can kill them if I want to, but I won't. I want them to be punished and tortured. And if they give up the ghost during the torture, then it is their loss.
“Why don't we exile them, Alpha Amelia? ” General Lykon suggested.
But that was a lame idea. Exile them for what reason? So they would go back to their pack, form the Valtorium pack again, and find a way to defeat me?
No way! I'd rather take away their dark magic, as I am capable of doing that. And if they insisted on not telling me who the leader of the sect is, I know how to find out about it.
“No, step back! ”
I commanded, and when I saw myself waving my hands and my hair flying, he hurried away.
“I will give you one last chance to confess. Who is the leader of that sect? ”
“We have sworn to keep it a secret, and we will never betray our leader’s trust in us. Do whatever you want to do to us! ” They chorused simultaneously, eyes as red as a flame.
“Then be my guest! ”
I threw my hands forward, filling the cell with a mist mixed in black and white colors. They screamed, slumped, and wailed, their voices sounding as sharp as a blade.
But I wasn't killing them; I was relieving them of the dark magic they were possessed by. Only then would my pack member’s mind be cleared, too.
When they stopped screaming, the fog cleared out, and they were all lying on top of each other, gasping for breath.
“They don't have the dark magic in them anymore, so I want them taken out of here and punished for what they did.”
“Yes, Alpha Amelia. Including the pups? ”
“Hell no! Take the pups to the orphanage and make sure they are treated the same way our pups are.”
I am not like them; I have a good heart. And if I could wipe out a family for their sin, I won't include the kids; I will make sure they are taken away from the families first before I kill them.
As the warriors were dragging out those weak rogues from the prison, I left.
I'd wanted to go back to the company to see how the healers were doing with the injured victims, but I had a change of mind and returned to the Packhouse instead.
I needed some fresh air, a warm bath, and a nice rest because tomorrow, there is a lot I want to do.
The next day, Hans and I left the Packhouse for the healer’s house. There are a lot of things I want to ask him, and I know only he could give me the answers to my questions.
Luckily, he was back from his trip, and I couldn't be happier when I saw him.
“Alpha Amelia? Alpha Hans? ” He bowed slightly as soon as we got out of the car.
“Skip the greetings, Healer Matt; I am here for something important. And it is pressing on my mind.”
Hearing the urgency in my tone, he nodded his head and took us inside.
“Something happened yesterday, Healer Matt.”
“Yes, dear Amelia, I know.”
Good!
“I lost control, and for the first time since I awakened the power, the mists and whatever turned dark. Even when I was taking out the dark magic from the rogues yesterday, my power was mixed in black and white. What is happening? ”
I was so eager to know, and when he kept nodding his head without saying a word, I grew impatient and snapped at him.
“You know you are wasting my time, right? ” Hans placed his hand on mine, tapping it gently. “Relax,” he whispered, “and wait for him to speak.”
I sighed deeply, shut my eyes, and leaned on the sofa, eyes fixed on the healer.
“You must know that what happened yesterday was all planned,” he started, “and that was not the end of it; this is just the beginning.”
Plan? By whom? And what beginning? Does it mean I will keep on killing my pack members or what?
“Stop beating around the bushes, Healer Matt, just go straight to the point, dude,” I gasped, stamping my feet on the carpet impatiently.
He got up and paced around the living room with his eyes shut.
“What is he doing? ”Amy scoffed, “I wish he could slip and fall.”
“Shut it, girl! ”I snapped at her, ‘You do not wish bad things for good people.”
Amy grumbled, went down, and buried her head in her paws.
I concentrated on the healer while trying as much as I could to control my emotions from lashing out at him.
“What you saw yesterday, that thing with the red eyes flying towards you in urgency,”
“Yes. Just spit it out already, old man. I don't have all the free time to spend here. My pack needs me! ”
He frowned at me, but I rolled my eyes at him.
“Why are you so impatient, Amelia? Calm down,” Hans whispered again, massaging his chest.
“You have no idea, Hans; please leave me alone. I am so eager to know about this because I have a lot of questions to ask him, but he is wasting my time.” I scoffed at him.
“I know, but you've got to calm down.”
I sighed deeply, shut my eyes, and folded my arms beneath my breast.
“It was sent by the Dark Shadows sect.”
