Chapter 18 Amelia’s Stubbornness
HANS MORGAN
“You punished me, too, Hans. Why were you so angry that Amelia punished Amy?” Kael scoffed,
He doesn't understand. I am not upset because Amelia punished Amy; I am bitter because she hurt herself.
Why should she do such a thing to herself? I can handle the pain, my wolf can, too. But can she deal with the pain even if her wolf can?
Amelia is so stubborn. If only I knew she would sneak out of the room this morning, I would have locked the door and hid the keys.
“Amelia, wait,”
I called out as soon as I stepped out of the building, but she ignored me and got inside the car.
I increased my pace, hoping to catch up with her, but she drove out at speed,
“She is angry. I think you should avoid her now.” Kael suggested.
But I can't leave her. What if she goes to another place and injures herself? No, I have to follow her.
I got inside the car too and went after her. Unfortunately, I lost her, so I had to return to the Packhouse.
An hour passed, yet she didn't show up, and I worried so much. I tried to mind-link her, but it didn't work because I haven't marked her yet.
Even Kael tried to mind link Amy, using whatever method they used, but she kept blocking him from getting access to her.
“Amy is in too much pain, Hans.” He sighed deeply, then sank into my mind.
I don't know what Amy did to her, but punishing her that way isn't right. Gosh, these wolves.
Wait a second, is she with the Healer? Amelia loves her wolf so much. Maybe she has gone to see the Healer to have her treated.
I picked up the car keys from the bed where I had tossed them earlier and hurried out of the room, hoping Amelia would be with the Healer.
But as soon as I opened the door, I bumped into her.
“Watch where you are going!”
She snapped, rubbing her forehead, which had collided with my chest.
I sighed in relief, and my face brightened up. Finally, she is back.
“Amelia?”
She paused, smirking at me as I called her name.
“What again? You aren't done yelling at me?”
Geez! That's not it. I want to make things right with her.
“I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier because I couldn't control my emotions. I was worried that you would hurt yourself.”
She scoffed, turned towards the bed, and sat down.
“Forget it, Hans, you always…”
The beep sound from her phone interrupted her. She looked at the phone beside her, and suddenly, she grabbed the phone from the bed, her eyes popped out.
She looked so shocked, and gradually, her expression darkened.
“What nonsense is this!” she fumed, leaping to her feet.
“What is going on?” I asked, going closer, but she tossed the phone on the bed and stormed into the bathroom.
For a few seconds, I tried figuring out what had upset her instantly, but nothing came to mind. I picked up her phone from the bed, but it was locked with a password, denying me access.
“Is everything alright?” Kael asked, stretching his paws and yawning. “I heard Amelia’s angry voice just now.”
I ignored him, trying to think harder, maybe something would cross my mind. And oh, it did cross.
Could it be Hams? Maybe he is back again?
“I don't think so, I can't smell Kairos here.”
Then who could it be?
“Quick, find out if anything has happened in the Pack.”
I sat down, shut my eyes, and exhaled so Kael would concentrate.
“The audacity!”
Amelia shouted, slamming the bathroom door. Water dripped from her hair onto her shoulder as she hurried towards the closet.
She went in, spent a few minutes there, and came out still hurling curses.
“Amelia, what is going on?” I asked her, but she ignored me and left the room.
I had no choice but to follow her wherever she was going. Seems someone has provoked her, and she would confront that person.
Luckily, she hadn't left when I caught up with her, so I got into her car and she sped out of the Packhouse.
As she sped, she kept cursing so loudly that I had to cover my ears at some point.
Seeing that she was driving towards the company made my heart calm. I thought she was going somewhere else to get into a fight.
When we arrived at the company, she stopped the car in front of the building without parking appropriately, got out, and stormed inside.
I had to park the car in the parking lot before going in.
“Alpha Hans? Is everything alright?” Axel, her Beta, asked, wiping the sweat on his face with a mini towel.
“I don't know, but it seems someone has provoked her. And whoever it is, I hope she doesn't see them.”
I caught a glimpse of him swallowing a massive lump in his throat, and his hands were trembling.
“Alpha Hans?” he called again, steadying his trembling hands. “Do you think she is angry because…”
Because what? Why did he suddenly go mute?
“Is there anything you want to tell me?” he bobbed his head, looking so worried. But before he could say a word, Amelia had stepped out.
“So you were here!”
Axel and I exchanged glances, wondering who she was referring to among us.
Then she walked towards us, clicking her heels on the floor as if she was in a beauty parade.
Then she stopped before Axel, pulled out her phone, and waved it in his face.
“What is this nonsense?” she was so calm as she asked him the question. But Axel didn't say a word; his eyes were only fixed on the phone screen.
“Speak!” she thundered, followed by a sound slap on his face.
Axel staggered back, and my eyes widened in shock.
“How dare you defy my order, you fool!” She grabbed his collar, pulled him up, and slapped him again.
“Amelia? Stop doing that,” I held her hand and freed Axel from her.
However, she kicked him with her leg, sending him to the floor again.
“How dare you send an apology message to Rowan!”
Wow!
