Chapter 174 Why Do You Look Pregnant

Both Jason and Charlotte were indifferent. Stella was so jealous that she got furious. In a fit of anger, she said to Jason, "Jason, Mr. Albert has the idea of calling Mr. Tim back. You need to pay attention to it."

When Charlotte heard this name, she reacted for a second before realizing that Stella was supposedly talking about Jason's biological father.

Jason looked over indifferently, smiling lightly. "So?"

Afraid that he would misunderstand that it was her idea, Stella hurriedly explained, "I told Mr. Albert that there's no need to rush, but he didn't seem to think so. Jason, you know that I am most unwilling to let you see Mr. Tim again."

Charlotte secretly perked up her ears and paid attention to everything, secretly observing Jason's expression.

Sure enough, after Stella finished speaking, Jason's face eased. He rubbed his tired brows, and his tone softened. "Okay, I'll talk to Grandpa. If he gives you a hard time, let me know."

Seeing that he was more friendly than before, Stella breathed a long sigh of relief and smoothly got closer. "For your sake, Mr. Albert won't make things difficult for me."

Charlotte sensed the shift in atmosphere between the two and became more and more certain that what Jason said about Stella's saving grace was related to Tim, or rather to Jason's biological mother.

"Charlotte, see Stella off."

Jason gave the order, revealing a conciliatory tone.

Stella's eyes showed some surprise as she pretended to shrug it off. "Let Ms. Seinfield do her work. It's not the first time I've been here."

"Okay then."

When Stella left, Charlotte looked down at the contract. The designer's work was attached at the end. Even if she wasn't a professional, she could tell that it wasn't nice work.

Given the subtle change in the relationship between Jason and Stella just now, Charlotte was careful with her wording, "Mr. Langley, this designer's work is not enough to reach the level of being a quarterly new product."

Jason glanced over. "Then put it on the low-end list."

He meant to give the design a place.

Charlotte tried to clarify, "SC's new products are all mid-end and high-end, and there are many better choices for the low-end ones."

It was clear that it could be done more perfectly. She didn't want to compromise for a favor.

Jason fixed his eyes on her, wanting to say something but hesitated. He tried hard not to sound harsh. "I've seen this designer's previous products. The sales are good. It won't be a drag."

At this point, Charlotte wouldn't be wise if she kept retorting.

Therefore, she held back her defense, closed the contract, and put it back in front of Jason. "In that case, please send another person to follow up on this cooperation, Mr. Langley."

Jason furrowed his brows and asked unhappily, "Are you angry?"

"You've misunderstood. I have a lot of other things on hand to settle. Since the contract has been signed, it's most convenient for the design department to follow up," Charlotte denied with an expressionless face.

Even a fool could see that she was not in a good mood.

Jason stared at her for a while and said gloomily, "Charlotte, you're extraordinarily fond of being angry lately. Am I indulging you too much?"

Charlotte was stunned as a huge sense of disappointment and sadness enveloped her. She hid her emotions and answered seriously, "I will pay attention to that."

It seemed like there was no need to keep sounding him out.

Jason might really have some fondness for her, but that was all. How much fondness could he have for a pet?

As Charlotte said, she did the following work in a business-like manner with a polite smile on her face. She was not indifferent but not intimate either.

Jason was busy expanding Yanksor Machinery. Charlotte supposed he didn't notice her attitude at all.

Charlotte secretly laughed at her idea as her attention returned to her work. She reminded Jason, "The dresses have been sent over. Would you like to try them on, Mr. Langley?"

Jason looked up from his work, hastily glanced at the dresses, and casually said, "You'll decide for me."

Charlotte nodded and habitually asked, "May I ask what should your date be wearing?"

"My date?"

"Ms. Lloyd."

"She's not my date." Jason frowned and denied it. Sensing that something was wrong, he looked at Charlotte for a long time, putting down his pen and getting up. "I thought about it. I'd better try them first."

"Okay." Charlotte nodded and pushed the clothes over, each set hung neatly.

However, Jason kept standing motionless in front of the mirror, as if he was waiting for something.

Charlotte walked up, unzipped his jacket, and hung it up for him. "Go in and try on the clothes, Mr. Langley."

"Help me with it."

The fitting room was not small, but Jason's tall figure almost filled half of it. Charlotte's nostrils were filled with his scent. They hadn't been in the same room for a long time. She carefully held her breath and unbuttoned his shirt.

When Jason's bare upper body came into view, Charlotte looked down to avoid it, but her body automatically started to heat up.

"Why don't you continue?" Jason's low voice got to her, electrifying her and bringing her a tingling sensation.

Charlotte felt turned on, reaching out to take off his shirt for him. She paused as her hand reached his belt, "Mr. Langley, you'll do the rest yourself."

Jason grabbed her retracted fingers and guided her to unbuckle his belt when his eyes locked onto her, making her unable to move.

Click.

The sound of the belt popping open was extraordinarily crisp to the ears.

Charlotte's cheeks blushed and she subconsciously wanted to escape.

Jason directly pressed her against the wall while his other hand lifted her chin. The tip of his nose circled around the tip of her nose as he occasionally kissed her lips.

The temperature inside the fitting room rose. Charlotte felt so turned on that she could barely think.

"Are you hiding from me?" Jason's husky voice pressed against her ear, teasing her rationality.

Charlotte pulled away slightly and denied it stubbornly, "No."

"Liar."

As he chuckled, he kissed her passionately.

Charlotte had never been able to resist his forcefulness, and the weak struggles were more like flirting.

Rough panting echoed through the room, fanning the flames.

Charlotte relied on her last shred of clarity to push away Jason's broad chest, reminding him, "Mr. Langley, you need to try on the dresses. Ms. Lloyd is waiting for a reply."

Jason stopped what he was doing. He narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing her. The next second, his hand slid directly into her clothes as he carelessly answered, "Let her wait."

As the heat surged up, Charlotte no longer had time to think, letting herself go with Jason's guidance.

Jason didn't touch Charlotte for two days. He kept going hard until her legs were too weak to stand. Only then was he willing to let her go, picking her up and going into the bathroom.

While they were bathing, his palms still lingered to roam around her body. In a low and husky voice, he teased her, "You are angry. It's only been two days, and you've stopped doing your body management."

Charlotte, still in a daze, smoothly retorted, "I do that every day."

"Really? Then why do you look like you're pregnant here?" He reached out and pinched her belly.
