Chapter 171 Heaven on Earth

Chapter 171 Heaven on Earth
Seeing this, I couldn't say anything.

I just stood there quietly, unable to move or even understand what had happened. My mind felt completely blank as I stared at Alex's body on the floor.

Finally, everything was over.

All the fear I had carried for so long, all the nights I had spent wondering what Alex would do next, all the pain and uncertainty that had followed me from my old life were finally coming to an end.

Alex was dead.

Alex was finally gone from my life.

For the first time, I knew I wouldn't have to wake up wondering if he was going to find me again. I wouldn't have to worry about him coming after me or trying to destroy the peace I had finally found with Kieran.

I took a deep breath, feeling the weight that had been sitting on my chest for so long slowly disappear.

Kieran walked over to Alex's body and picked up his head, which had been separated from his body. He held it firmly in his hand before turning toward the hallway.

I stared at him for a moment.

He looked completely different from the man I had been sitting beside earlier during our celebration. There was still so much anger in his expression, and the energy radiating from him was so intense that I instinctively kept my distance.

Victor, Silas, Clara, and I followed behind him as he walked through the hallway.

I stayed about five feet away from him, sometimes walking backward because I didn't want to get too close while he was still filled with rage.

None of us said anything.

Kieran continued walking until we finally reached the outside of the pack house, where the soldiers were still fighting.

Our soldiers were fighting Alex's soldiers, and the entire area was still filled with noise. Swords clashed, people shouted, and soldiers moved around the battlefield.

Then Kieran stopped.

“Hey!” he yelled.

His voice was loud enough to reach everyone.

The fighting immediately slowed down.

One by one, the soldiers stopped and turned toward him.

Kieran raised Alex's head high above him so everyone could see it.

For a moment, there was silence.
Then the entire crowd erupted.

A loud roar of victory spread through the pack as the soldiers began cheering. Some raised their weapons into the air while others shouted in celebration.

Alex's soldiers looked at the head of their fallen Alpha, and their expressions immediately changed.

Their Alpha was gone.

One after another, they began dropping their swords.

They had lost the reason to continue fighting.

Seeing that made me feel a sense of relief I couldn't explain.

The battle was finally over.

Our soldiers began gathering Alex's soldiers and taking them away. The fighting gradually stopped, and the pack slowly began clearing up.

I looked around at the destruction and couldn't believe that this had all happened on the day of my coronation.

It had started as one of the happiest days of my life and had almost ended in disaster.

But somehow, we had survived.

Kieran finally lowered Alex's head and dropped it to the ground.

Then he turned toward me.

The anger in his expression softened when his eyes met mine.

He walked toward me and pulled me into his arms.

I immediately hugged him back.

I held him tightly, feeling grateful that he was still standing there with me.

“Thank you,” I whispered.

He held me even tighter, and for the first time that day, I felt completely safe.

Weeks passed after everything that had happened.

The pack slowly returned to peace.

Kieran had Alex's sister and her husband executed as well because of everything they had done to make my life miserable, and Alex's pack was taken over by one of Kieran's trusted Alpha friends.

Life finally became peaceful.

It was the best few weeks of my life.
There were no attacks, no threats, No Alex.

No one trying to take away the happiness I had finally found.

I was finally able to enjoy my life with Kieran without constantly looking over my shoulder.

One morning, I headed to the garden accompanied by the maids. I carried a flower basket in my hands as I walked around the garden, carefully picking flowers that I planned to use for decorations.

The weather was beautiful, and the garden was peaceful.

I smiled as I looked at the flowers around me.

Everything felt so normal.
So peaceful, Then, suddenly, I felt dizzy.

I stopped walking and placed one hand against my forehead.

The dizziness became stronger. I tried to steady myself, but my legs suddenly felt weak.

“Luna?” one of the maids called.

I tried to answer, but before I could say anything, my vision became blurry.

I couldn't stand any longer.

My body gave up, and I passed out, falling directly onto the ground.

When I opened my eyes again, everything looked blurry.

I blinked several times, trying to understand where I was. I was in our chambers.

The smell of herbs filled my nose, and I could hear quiet voices around me.

Kieran was sitting beside me, holding my hands tightly.

“What happened?” I asked weakly.

I tried to sit up, but Kieran immediately stopped me.

“Lie down, lie down,” he said gently.

He had a smile on his lips.
I frowned. Why was he smiling?

I had literally just passed out, and somehow he looked happier than I had ever seen him.

“Where am I?” I asked.

“You passed out,” he explained. “Wendy, the healer, came to run a checkup on you, and she found out that you're pregnant.”

I stared at him.

My eyes widened. “What?”

For a moment, I thought I had heard him wrong.

Pregnant? Me? I blinked several times, completely stunned.

Kieran suddenly pulled me into a hug.
His happiness was impossible to miss.

I had seen Kieran smile many times before, but I had never seen him smile like this.

He looked so happy, so excited, that for a moment, he looked like the cutest future father in the world.

“Yes,” he said happily. “We're going to have a baby, and we're going to name her Ava. The pack healer confirmed that it is a girl.”

“Ava,” I whispered.

The name left my lips softly as tears gathered in my eyes.

I slowly placed my hand on my stomach.

There was a baby growing inside me.
Our baby. Kieran's and mine.

Never in my life had I imagined that I would become a mother someday. There had been a time when my life was filled with so much pain that I couldn't imagine having a future, let alone a family of my own.

But now, I was here.

I had Kieran, I had a peaceful home.
And now, I had our baby.

I looked at Kieran, and tears finally slipped down my cheeks.

He smiled at me and placed his hand gently over mine.

I looked down at my stomach again.

This felt like heaven on earth.

After everything I had been through, after all the pain, betrayal, fear, and heartbreak, I had finally found something worth holding onto.

A family and a future. A life I had once believed I would never have.

I smiled through my tears, gently holding my stomach as I thought about the little girl who would soon come into our lives.

My baby, Ava, our happiness.

And I knew that no matter how bad life became, no matter how many difficult moments came our way, there would always be a reason to keep going.

Because no matter how life gets bad, you must surely find your happiness.
