Nina pov

When will you stop crying? I thought to myself about it.

"It's sad but it doesn't deserve this much attention and sadness. You hate him already. Give up on hurting yourself." It was as if there was a second person in my tonight.

And just like I had a mood swing, I stopped crying and instantly wiped the tears away. The driver looked at me with a surprised look, but he was glad I had stopped crying. I could see his smile.

"Shall we leave now, ma'am?" He asked me.

"Of course. There's nothing more to do."

I sat in the front and he drove off. As much as the driver was surprised, I felt the same way with how I had pulled everything off. Minutes ago, I was bawling my heart out and I had gotten back to normal again.

"Please, do you have some songs? Play anything for me."

"I don't have something with lyrics. But I could play some upbeat jazz for you if you want." He told me.

"Yes, I wouldn't mind anything at this point."

The song played in the air and I was getting a bit emotional again, but I held myself and I continued vibing to it.

I wanted to treat the night and day like nothing had even happened at all. I was more than a hundred per cent sure that Kayden would be furious wherever he was about how his ball had turned out.

I thought about it and laughed, "he deserves it," I muttered to myself.

We got to the pack house and I stayed in for a while before finally getting in. The place felt like a prison that held dreadful memories and it felt tiring for me to go back into it.

My mind drifted off the music and I stared at the place one more time.

"I guess I just have to go in," I mumbled to myself.

I alighted from the car and walked as slowly as I could. What had seemed the worst day of my life was panning out to be even better which was unexpected. I didn't want to ruin it and I knew it would soon be over.

"Toughen up and go in." I heard myself say.

It was like there was a different spirit in me. The one that kept me extremely motivated and I was proud of myself for it.

I strode into the hallway and ran towards my room. Once I got inside, I flew onto my bed and took a rest. The thoughts were flooding me again, but I managed to stand guard against the tears.

I wouldn't let them overwhelm me anytime soon. I thought about Kayden and Jessica, they had not arrived yet. Maybe they wouldn't be arriving soon. After all, the ball had not ended yet.

And I was more than a hundred per cent sure that Kayden would be furious wherever he was about how his ball had turned out.
