Give her to me

Give her to me
          ANITA'S POINT OF VIEW
"Have you heard the latest buzz circulating around the hospital about Dr. Nathan?" Chloe inquired, her curiosity evident as she leaned closer to me.
The moment I heard her question, I couldn't help but huff in annoyance, feeling the weight of the troubling news that had become the center of everyone's conversations.

"Of course I’ve heard! It’s not just the staff discussing it—news of his situation has reached the patients as well, and it’s even made headlines on the evening news," I replied exasperatedly, and Chloe nodded in acknowledgment, her brow furrowing in concern.

"Where in the world could that punk possibly be?" I asked, my voice laced with worry as the thought of his disappearance weighed heavily on my mind.

"Or maybe he went to visit his parents?" Chloe suggested, but the moment she voiced that idea, I couldn’t help but frown.

"Please, don’t talk so foolishly," I retorted, annoyance creeping into my tone.

"You heard the reports saying that his door was wide open, and, for heaven's sake, the CCTV footage clearly showed that he was dragged into a truck by some unknown gunmen!" I remarked, rolling my eyes dramatically, trying to emphasize the gravity of the situation.

"Oh right.... I totally forgot about that... So if that's the case, who could possibly have kidnapped him?" Chloe pondered aloud, her worry evident in her voice. Her words struck a nerve, filling me with a sense of urgency.

"Why on earth would you be this concerned? It’s not like you two were particularly close, were you?" I shot back, giving her a piercing glare that I hoped would make her reconsider her emotional investment in this situation.

"No, no, no, Anita... It’s not like that at all," she interjected quickly. "I’m just worried because he’s my colleague, and, if I’m honest, he is a friend to me as well." Her explanation softened my stance slightly, and I nodded, understanding that the troubling circumstances were difficult for all of us, regardless of the nature of our relationships with Dr. Nathan.

"I thought you mentioned that you were planning to see him that day. Didn't you end up going?" she inquired, her brow furrowed with curiosity. I let out a soft sigh, a wave of mixed emotions washing over me.

"Yes, he had indeed asked me to come meet him. However, something unexpected came up at the last minute, and I found myself unable to go,” I explained, my thoughts drifting back to that day.

"When I think about it now, I can’t help but feel like it was my guardian angel looking out for me. Just imagine if I had gone there that day... what if they had kidnapped me too?" I voiced my concern, and to my disbelief, she chuckled lightly, which irked me to no end.

"Are you really supposed to be laughing right now? I’m talking about my life here!" I retorted, frowning deeply and shooting her a glare that could melt ice.

"I’m sorry, Anita," she responded, her tone apologetic.

"It’s just that the way you expressed it sounded a bit amusing to me. I didn’t mean to annoy you." Her sincerity was clear, but I still felt a swell of frustration, prompting me to roll my eyes dramatically.

"Whatever," I muttered under my breath, folding my arms tightly across my chest in a defensive gesture.

"Poor Kim… She’s going to be worried sick," she remarked after a brief silence, her voice filled with concern. Her words struck a chord, reawakening my worries.

"I thought I already told you… They broke up," I replied, a smirk creeping onto my face as I reveled in the sudden shift of attention.

"What??... They actually did?? What happened?" she exclaimed, her expression transforming into one of shock and intrigue as she leaned in closer, eager for every detail.

"She walked in on us at the most unexpected moment when Nathan and I were engrossed in fking eachother...... You should have seen the look on her face—it was a blend of shock and disbelief that was absolutely priceless! It was exhilarating to witness her reaction; it heightened the thrill of the entire situation," I explained, a playful smirk dancing on my lips. As soon as I finished speaking, she erupted into a fit of giggles, the sound vibrant against the backdrop of our already mischievous conversation.

"Nathan was understandably frustrated that she stumbled upon us like that, which only served to annoy me further. He kept pleading, trying to get her to calm down and assure her that everything was a mistake. But I firmly told him he didn’t need to apologize. I have to say, though, those few moments of chaos only fueled my excitement. Winning this little round feels fantastic, and I can't help but feel a sense of triumph coursing through my veins. And let me share a little secret with you: my next step is to secure the role of personal doctor to Donovan Higgins. I promise you, I’m formulating an elaborate plan, meticulously crafting each detail," I declared, the grin on my face widening as I felt a surge of confidence at the prospect of this new ambition. She responded with an encouraging smile that lit up her face.

"I have complete faith in your abilities, Anita. Whatever it is that you desire, I know you’ll find a way to make it a reality," she said, her voice infused with unwavering support. That approval brought an even bigger smile to my lips.

"But what exactly is your strategy... How do you plan on replacing her?" she inquired, curiosity evident in her tone and sparkle in her eyes, as if she were hanging onto my every word.

I leaned in closer, creating an air of secrecy around our conversation.

"Oh, it’s nothing overly complicated... but I prefer to keep the specifics under wraps for the moment. Just know that I’m working diligently behind the scenes, plotting my move. Soon enough, the whispers will ripple through the hospital that the so-called ‘witch’ will be returning, and I will seamlessly step into her shoes at the Higgins mansion," I replied, a conspiratorial smile playing at the corners of my mouth as she nodded in agreement, impressed by my determination.

"Imagine carrying Mr. Donovan's child," I said, rubbing my hands gently over my tummy as if I could feel the future within me. The mere thought sent butterflies fluttering in my stomach.

"It will be a perfectly orchestrated plan, and I can hardly contain my anticipation."

"Wow... You really have mapped this out well," she replied, a mischievous grin spreading across her face, clearly amused by my enthusiasm.

"Indeed, Chloe! Just think about it. I would be the daughter-in-law of the prestigious Higgins family! It would be such an incredible honor," I said, my face lighting up with a broad smile that reflected my aspirations and dreams.

"That's given me goosebumps! It feels so real already—all that needs to happen now is for me to step into that mansion. Soon, very soon, I'll be there," I continued, my excitement bubbling over, and I suddenly stood up, feeling a surge of energy as I envisioned my bright future.

"I really must go check on my patient now. Honestly, that guy has been nothing but a thorn in my side—in the most maddening way possible. I can't understand why they would assign such a difficult case to me!" I said, rolling my eyes dramatically and scoffing at the thought. Chloe erupted into laughter, clearly entertained by my frustration.

"That's exactly why you became a doctor, Anita," she remarked, shaking her head in amusement at my annoyed expression.

"Doctor, my foot! The truth is, I was practically coerced into this profession by my father. The only thing that might ignite a genuine passion in me for this career would be if Donovan Higgins happened to be one of my patients," I admitted, sharing a conspiratorial chuckle with her as we reveled in the absurdity of our conversation.

With a wave and a beaming smile that lingered on my face, I said,

"See you later," and stepped out of her office, feeling buoyed by the possibilities that lay ahead. My heart raced with excitement and hope as I envisioned a future intertwined with the Higgins family, making every moment feel infused with promise.

As I strolled leisurely down the familiar hallway, a sensation of nostalgia washed over me,Suddenly, something caught my eye; a face emerged from the throng of people that I could not quite place at first. After a moment of trying to reconcile my memories, it hit me like a bolt of lightning—could it really be Sam? My heart surged with excitement as I whispered her name softly, almost as if I were afraid to disturb the moment.

But before I could catch myself, the name escaped my lips in a shout, and like a scene from a movie, she instantly turned toward me with a look of surprise mingled with recognition on her face.

"Oh my goodness, Anita!" she exclaimed, her voice rising with joy. Without hesitation, she dashed towards me, and in just a heartbeat, she enveloped me in a warm embrace that felt both comforting and exhilarating.

"Geez, Samantha… Look at you!" I exclaimed after we finally pulled away, my eyes sweeping over her—her hair had grown longer, and an air of maturity surrounded her that I found both impressive and endearing.

"When did you come back?" I couldn’t help but ask, the years melting away in an instant as memories of our shared laughter and late-night talks flooded my mind.

Samantha had been my closest friend since our days in middle school right through high school. It had been a long time since we’d seen each other; our lives had taken separate paths after we enrolled in different colleges. The years apart had felt like an eternity, and my heart swelled with joy at the prospect of our reunion.

"I think it’s been about two weeks since I returned, if I’m not mistaken," she replied, her eyes sparkling with reminiscence and happiness.

"How are your parents doing?" she inquired, genuinely interested.

"They’re doing well, all things considered. It’s so good to see you again," I said, feeling a wave of warmth wash over me as she pulled me into another tight hug.

"Yeah, same here! I swear I missed you, girl," I said with a beaming smile, exhilaration bubbling beneath the surface as I absorbed the comforting familiarity of her presence.

"I thought you were in Chicago?" she asked, her brow furrowing in confusion momentarily as she tried to piece together the timeline of our lives.

"Nope! I’ve been here for a while now," I replied, and as I said those words, I could see her nod as if the pieces of our past were slowly falling back into place. It was wonderful to catch up, to reconnect.

"We really need to have a conversation, girl... There's so much for us to catch up on," I said, my voice filled with a mix of excitement and anticipation. I reached into my pocket and handed her my phone, urging her to share her contact information. Without a moment’s hesitation, she took my phone and quickly typed in her digits, the sound of her fingers tapping the screen filled the air between us.

"Thanks so much for that," I said, feeling grateful to reconnect.

"So, tell me, what brings you here today? Did you come to visit someone in particular?" I asked with genuine curiosity, eager to learn about what had been happening in her life.

"No, Ani... I actually came in for a checkup, and you won't believe what the doctor just told me," she replied, her voice tinged with a hint of worry as she let out a deep sigh.

"What did he say?" I prodded, my curiosity piqued even more by the tone of her voice.

With a mixture of nervousness and excitement in her eyes, she finally revealed,

"I’m pregnant, Anita." The words hung in the air, and I gasped in surprise, my eyes widening as I stared at her in disbelief.

#MORNING#
10:25am

DONOVAN'S POINT OF VIEW

“Is the car ready?” I inquired, adjusting my coat and making sure the buttons were fastened securely. The morning chill nipped at my skin, and I felt the need for an extra layer as I prepared to head out.

“Yes, Boss. Everything is ready,” Scott replied promptly, his voice steady and reassuring. I acknowledged his response with a nod and a small hum, my gaze fixed on my reflection in the mirror.

I took a moment to scrutinize my appearance—was my hair in place, were there any last-minute adjustments needed? Satisfied that I looked presentable, I picked up my phone from the table, checking for any urgent messages that might have come through.

“Let’s go,” I said, signaling to Scott that I was ready. He gestured for me to follow him, leading the way down the stairs as I trailed behind, my mind racing with thoughts of the day ahead.

As we descended into the living area, I was greeted by the sight of Amica Mea and Sophie sitting together on the plush sofa, deeply engrossed in a conversation. They appeared so absorbed in their discussion that they didn’t even notice when we entered the room.

“Isn’t she supposed to be in school? Oh right… today is Saturday,” I chuckled quietly to myself, amused by my own forgetfulness regarding the weekend schedule.

“Good morning, brother!” Sophie exclaimed, her expression lighting up as she looked up and spotted me. I had barely returned her greeting when Amica Mea turned my way, her cheeks slightly flushed, which piqued my curiosity.

“Morning sunshine! How was your night?” I greeted them both, offering a warm smile in an attempt to lighten the atmosphere.

“It was great,”She replied, her face breaking into a broad grin that was infectious in its cheerfulness.

“Urmm… I’m sorry to ask, but where are you guys going so early in the morning?” Amica Mea inquired, her eyebrows arching in curiosity, eyes fixed on me with a hint of mischief.

"I’m planning to pay a visit to a very close friend of mine," I informed her, my tone hinting a bit loud.

"It’s been quite some time since I last saw him." As I spoke, she nodded in acknowledgment, a hint of curiosity dancing in her eyes, and bit her lip, as if contemplating something deeper.

"And how was your night?" I inquired, genuinely intrigued.

"I woke up and noticed you weren’t anywhere near me." The moment the words left my mouth, Sophie gasped dramatically, while Amica Mea’s eyes widened in astonishment, seemingly caught off guard by the implication.

“Wait... so you two actually sleep together?” Sophie blurted out, her voice rising with disbelief. She quickly turned to Amica Mea, seeking confirmation, but Amica Mea, with cheeks turning a deep shade of crimson, swiftly looked down, avoiding the gaze of both her and me.

As the awkward atmosphere settled, Sophie broke the silence with a lighthearted chuckle.

“Okay, I think I need a doctor too!” she exclaimed, her laughter ringing like a melody. Amica Mea, in stark contrast, was left blushing even more, her embarrassment palpable as she tried to hide her face.

“What on earth do you mean that you need a doctor too, you little witch?” I replied, rolling my eyes with an amused grin. The teasing banter was irresistible, and I found myself enjoying it.

“Of course, I do!” Sophie declared with mock seriousness.

“I mean, I never get to sleep alone! It’s a catastrophe!” she added, throwing a cheeky wink at Amica Mea, whose face flushed an even deeper shade of red as she buried her head in her hands, clearly flustered by the playful teasing.

“You’re so unserious,” I remarked, glancing at my watch. “I’m going to be late if I don’t get moving soon. We will talk later.” With that, I offered one last look at Amica Mea, a mix of fondness and mischief in my eyes, before turning to leave.

As we approached the door, Scott graciously opened it for me, and I stepped inside, letting out a soft sigh of anticipation. I simply could not contain my eagerness; I was ready—a bit impatient, even—to see the
Bstard who had been occupying my thoughts.
I remembered the look that Amica Mea gave me last night while having that phone call and I couldn't help but to burst into laughter.... Wait..... She wasn't suspecting me right??.
Scott pushed the door open for me, and I stepped inside with a deep sigh that seemed to echo my anticipation. I could hardly contain my excitement; the thought of seeing that infuriatingly charming bastard again was almost too much to bear.

Last night replayed in my mind, particularly Amica Mea’s expression when I said that we should stop . It was at once funny and agonizing, and I found myself laughing aloud, the sound bubbling up unexpectedly.

Scott, ever the keen observer, glanced at me through the rearview mirror. “You look like you’re in a good mood today, Boss,” he remarked, a sly grin stretching across his face.

“You can say that again,” I replied, allowing another chuckle to escape me, my mind drifting back to Amica Mea’s heartbroken gaze from last night. The way her eyes shimmered with unshed tears made my heart ache; she looked as if I had just delivered the worst news imaginable.

“Oh, Amica Mea,” I muttered softly, unable to suppress my laughter once more. Those innocent yet undeniably provocative looks she gave me had been etched into my memory, stirring a potent mix of desire and responsibility within me. The rich warmth her gaze promised left me tantalized, and yet, I had forced myself to stop —not an easy feat for someone as drawn to her as I was.

When I discovered that she had never been with anyone before, it shifted everything for me. The weight of that realization loomed large; if I was going to share that experience with her, it had to be beyond perfect—an unforgettable moment crafted from love and care. Nothing less would do; I wanted her first time to be something magical, a treasure she would cherish forever.

As I pondered these thoughts, my phone suddenly vibrated insistently in my pocket, jolting me from my reverie. Curiosity piqued, I fished it out and glanced at the screen to find a new message waiting for my attention.

As I pulled open the message, a wave of amusement washed over me, and I couldn't suppress my laughter. The words in front of me triggered an uncontrollable response. It read,
"Let's meet this afternoon at 2 p.m. At mom's favorite restaurant downtown," and it was clear as day that the author of this message could only be one person—him. A sense of irony washed over me as I realized that after all this time, he finally wanted to meet me. How curious that fate had brought us to this point!

I turned to Scott, who was sitting beside me, and said,

"Looks like we're really going to pay an old friend a visit." At that moment, Scott snapped his gaze toward me through the front-view mirror, visibly intrigued by my revelation.

"Who's that, Boss?" he asked, genuine curiosity evident in his voice.

I let out a sigh, hesitating for just a moment before responding with the name that carried a weight of history.

"Giovan... He wants us to meet," I revealed, and I could see understanding flood over his face as he nodded in response.

"Is it safe?" Scott's words were laced with caution, reflecting his protective instincts.

I reassured him confidently.

"We're meeting at a restaurant. It’s a public place, so there are limits to what he can do. Besides, even if he tries something foolish, I’ll be prepared. I won’t be caught off guard, and I have you." He nodded again, but I could sense the lingering concern behind his expression.

After a lengthy two-hour drive through the winding streets, during which my mind raced with memories and possibilities, Scott finally slowed down the vehicle and brought it to a halt in front of a black gate. The sight of it was almost theatrical—a dark barrier that separated the ordinary from the extraordinary.

Scott honked the horn, and to our surprise, the gate swung open almost instantaneously, revealing one of my  associates standing ready to guide us.

Scott drove in cautiously, and as he finally brought the car to a stop. Without waiting for him to open the door for me, I leaped out of the car, driven by an eagerness that seemed to erase all the caution I had previously held.
"Right this way, Boss," Scott said, gesturing with an air of confidence as he navigated through the dimly lit hallway. I trailed closely behind him, my footsteps soft and measured, every step heavy with anticipation.

This wasn’t just any location; it was one of my discreet properties nestled in the heart of the city, a place known to only a select few—Scott and my trusted associates, my boys. This secrecy was precisely how I preferred it. I could hardly contain my eagerness to confront the miserable bastard who had the audacity to lay a hand on Amica Mea.

As we approached a sturdy door at the end of the corridor, Scott came to a halt, his expression betraying nothing but determination. He pushed the door open with a deliberate motion, stepping inside first, and I followed him in without hesitation.

The sight before me was both gratifying and repugnant; the scoundrel was suspended upside down, his naked body hanging limply, blood gushing from numerous wounds that marred his skin. It was a brutal sight, but I had explicitly instructed Scott to make him bleed before my arrival. I needed this mess of a man to understand the gravity of his actions.

The unfortunate soul was blindfolded, and his back was a grotesque canvas of deep, ugly wounds , each one a testament to the severe punishment he had already endured. My heart raced with exhilaration as I watched him writhe in agony, each groan a melody to my ears. Yes, this was merely the beginning; I was relishing the prospect of watching him break down further, the anticipation of administering more pain consuming me.

"Please let me go," he uttered, his voice barely above a whisper, almost drowned out by the sound of his own labored breaths as he sensed our presence . I couldn't help but scoff at his desperate plea and stepped closer, my shadow looming over him.

"Let you go?" I echoed, the laughter spilling from my lips unbidden. It was almost amusing to hear him beg.

"Please... I don’t remember doing anything to make anyone angry... Just let me go," he implored and burst into tears making me to burst into laughter ,his tone laden with fear and desperation. But in that moment, his words only stoked the flames of my resolve. There was no way I would entertain his pleas when justice—my kind of justice—was on its way.

“You don’t remember??... So here you are, so scared and can even cry yet you had the audacity to raise your hand against her? You even thought you could force your way onto her. How despicable!” I scoffed, letting my disdain seep into my tone as I folded my arms tightly across my chest, the very picture of indignation.

“Kimberly??... Wait... did Kimberly send you guys to do this?” he stammered in a mix of panic and denial.

“No... Kim... Kim can't have done this,” he continued, his voice trembling as fear washed over him. With every syllable that escaped his lips, my frown deepened, churning with a mixture of anger and disappointment upon hearing her name.

“If you don’t want to infuriate me further, I’d appreciate it if you kept her name out of your mouth. I don’t want to hear another word about her from you,” I said, my tone laced with a dangerous calm as I directed my gaze toward one of the boys standing nearby. I held out my hand demanding the whip, and without hesitation, he obediently passed it to me, sensing the tension in the air.

“Please, no! I’m so sorry... I... I don’t know what came over me! I swear I’ll never do anything so cruel to Kimberly again!” he begged, his voice rising in desperation, the sincerity completely lost on me. His pleas fell on deaf ears as I clenched the whip tightly, feeling a surge of adrenaline coursing through me. With a swift movement, I raised the whip high and struck down upon his back, the sharp crack echoed through the room, causing him to let out a piercing yell that was filled with agony.

“Nooooo! Please, I’m truly sorry!” he screamed, his voice laced with terror and regret as I continued the relentless assault. Each lash of the whip fulfilled a mixture of rage and a need for justice.

The room was filled solely with the sounds of his anguished cries and the sharp whip cutting through the air—an unyielding reminder of the consequences of one’s actions, resonating painfully in the stillness that followed each strike.

After a drawn-out minutes of contemplating his battered state, I found myself pausing. I casually returned the whip to the boys, a satisfied smile creeping across my face as I gazed at his bruised and broken body. The sight filled me with a sense of triumph, and I couldn't suppress the pleasure it brought me.

“Are you going to kill me??” he asked, his voice quivering and barely above a whisper.

“Yes, I will kill you,” I replied steadily, allowing the weight of my words to sink in.

“But before that moment arrives, I intend to make you suffer in ways you couldn’t possibly imagine. You’re going to wish for death, and when the time comes for you to face her again, you'll be so filled with terror that you'll run for your life. I won’t let you escape this easily.” My gaze shifted toward the boys, who awaited my command, eager to carry out the task.

“Cut off his three fingers," I ordered coldly, relishing the thought. "I want him to look at that mangled hand for the rest of his miserable life, so every time he sees it, he will be reminded of the name Kimberly."

“Yes, Boss,” one of the boys replied with a bow, the ruthless enthusiasm in his voice echoing my own sentiments perfectly.

“No, please… not my fingers! They are my life!” he cried out, desperation lacing his pleas.

“You’ve hurt me enough already! You’ve taught me a lesson! Please, just let me go!......I promise I'll never touch her again” His eyes, wide with panic, searched mine for mercy, but his cries fell on deaf ears. I had already made my decision, resolute in my purpose.

I haven't hurt you enough because after they're through cutting off your fingers...... They're going to continue whiping you.

I turned to Scott, signaling for us to leave.

“Let’s go,” I said decisively, as we made our way out of the room. The chilling silence that enveloped the space felt satisfying. With each step I took, I felt a dark sense of satisfaction wash over me.

"Take me to the restaurant downtown"I said and he nodded and immediately started the car.

#1 HOUR LATER#

Scott parked the car in front of the bustling restaurant, a familiar establishment that had once been a cherished family spot. As I stepped out and closed the door behind me, the aroma of savory dishes wafted through the air, filling my senses and prompting me to inhale deeply. With that breath, a flood of nostalgia washed over me;

I was transported back to my childhood. I could almost see my mother's smiling face as she led us here, giggling and urging us to try the delectable desserts that were always on display.

I straightened my outfit, smoothing out the fabric as I prepared to enter the restaurant. The warm, inviting atmosphere seemed to beckon me inside. I took a moment to admire the vintage sign above the entrance, its faded letters a testament to the many years it had welcomed guests like us. Scott trailed closely behind, sharing my excitement but clearly not as lost in the memories.

Once inside, I began to scan the bustling room, taking in the lively chatter and clinking of glasses that filled the air. My eyes quickly landed on him—a familiar figure seated at a table near the window. As soon as he noticed me, he waved eagerly, his face partially obscured by a nose mask and a baseball cap.

"I was starting to wonder if you would actually show up," he remarked with a lighthearted chuckle as I approached him. I rolled my eyes in annoyance before plopping down in the seat directly across from him. In a nearby corner, Scott chose to sit at another table, opting for a bit of distance from our sibling banter.

“It’s a bit odd that you wanted to meet today of all days,” I remarked, my tone laced with playful sarcasm.
.
“I figured you’d still be wrapped up in whatever silly game you’ve concocted this time.” My comment elicited a loud, hearty laugh from him, which only deepened the frown etched on my face. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but there was something about his laughter, the way it mirrored my own, that irked me just a little.

“That’s not the way to talk to your  brother, Don,” he responded, feigning a hurt expression, though his eyes sparkled with mischief.

“I was really expecting a hug when you arrived!” He said and i burst into laughter.

"What's this deal about??..... Do you want me to beg dad and mom for you to come back ?? or wait?? you don't want us to swap right?? "I Asked trying to annoy him and he frowned slightly immediately.

"It's none of those...... Do I look like someone who wants to go back to being a daddy-mommy, boy just like you?? "He asked and clasped his hands together.

"I'm going to be fast.......  Give your personal doctor to me and I promise I'll let you be forever"He said and relaxed back on the chair staring keenly at me.
