Neither of us

Neither of us
  KIMBERLY'S POINT OF VIEW

"What... What are you talking about?" I stammered, my voice barely above a whisper, as I observed him approaching with an air of confidence that sent shivers racing down my spine.

My instinct was to retreat, and I took several steps backwards, feeling the cold, unforgiving wall press against my back, a boundary I couldn't escape.

Panic surged through me as I felt my body collide with the solid surface, and in that moment, my heart raced wildly, and I gulped down a thick, uneasy knot of saliva. Dinovan tailored his approach with a predatory grace, drawing nearer with a devilish smile creeping across his lips that both thrilled and terrified me.

"You look so undeniably attractive, Amica Mea... So incredibly alluring," he murmured, his voice low and intoxicating, the words a sultry caress against the air between us.

The way he whispered those charms made me acutely aware of how much power he wielded over my senses. As his hands began to slide from my soft curves to my belly button, an electric charge surged through my body, igniting sensations I hadn't anticipated.

"So alluring," he breathed into my ear, his warm breath wrapping around me like a cocoon, and when his lips brushed against my ear, a soft, involuntary moan slipped from my lips. Each action, each breathy whisper from him, only served to heighten the urgency of the moment, igniting small flames of desire that flickered wildly within me.

He then turned his attention back to my body, tracing his hands once more to my chest, holding my gaze locked with his as he gently moved aside the delicate fabric of my lingerie. My breath hitched under his touch, the warm sensation surging through my body as he began to explore, his fingers expertly rubbing and teasing on my boobs , sending waves of pleasure coursing through me, causing my body to respond in ways that felt foreign yet exhilarating.

"So pink and irresistible," he muttered, his voice dripping with a mix of lust and admiration as he pressed his lips against my neck. Each kiss ignited not just my skin, but also a deeper yearning I couldn't fully comprehend, leaving me ensnared in this intoxicating dance of desire, where pleasure and vulnerability entwined like lovers lost in their own world.

He drew back for a moment, gazing into my eyes with an intensity that sent shivers down my spine. This time, he leaned in closer and planted a tentative kiss on my lips. I found myself frozen, caught off guard by the sudden surge of emotion that washed over me.

It was as if time stood still while I grappled with the reality that I, someone who didn’t consider myself an adept kisser, was sharing this intimate moment with him.

His tongue swept into my mouth with a fervor that took my breath away, exploring every inch, as if he were savoring a flavor he couldn’t get enough of. I felt lost in the sensation, and it tugged at something deep inside me. Almost instinctively, I felt the cool fabric of my gown being lifted as he began to reveal my thighs, urging the garment up higher.

His fingers brushed against the delicate lace of my panties, and before I could form coherent thoughts, he slipped his hands in, beginning to rub my clitoris with a deft urgency that made me gasp sharply, the sound escaping my lips before I could stop it.

In that moment, I should have reacted as I had in the past when faced with unwanted advances—shouting at him to stop and pushing him away, just as I had done with Nathan. But for some inexplicable reason, I found myself paralyzed, caught in a whirlwind of conflicting emotions, and instead of pushing him away, an unexpected hunger stirred within me, urging me to lean into this blissful experience.

“Damn… you’re so wet… for me,” he murmured, his voice a low whisper that sent a thrilling jolt of electricity through my body. With a deliberate slowness, he drew his hands away, glancing down at the shimmering moisture glistening on his fingertips, a reflection of my desire laid bare before him.

“So wet,” he echoed, as if the words were a spell that could pull me deeper into this intoxicating moment. Without a moment's hesitation, he licked his fingers clean, the sight igniting a fierce longing within me that made me burn with desire.

He returned his hands to the delicate fabric of my panties, his gaze locked on mine as he continued to expertly manipulate my clt. The directness of his attention sent waves of pleasure coursing through me, stirring an intoxicating blend of anxiety and excitement within my chest.

“Urmmm… Donovan… I think you should stop,” I managed to plead, my voice strained and quivering, laced with a moan that betrayed my own conflicted desires. Every word felt like a struggle as my body responded to him with alarming eagerness, a contradiction I couldn't quite wrap my mind around.

“Should I?” he whispered, his breath warm against my skin. As he kissed me more passionately, I felt an electric thrill surge through my body, intensifying the moment. This time, I could distinctly feel him slipping a finger into my sex, and a soft moan escaped my lips, melding seamlessly with the fervent kiss. It was as if each gentle movement sparked a flame within me, igniting a longing I had never quite experienced before.

As our rhythm deepened, he added another finger, and in an instant, a wave of mixed sensations rushed over me. While I was swept away by pleasure, a twinge of discomfort crept in, causing me to groan softly at the unexpected pain that accompanied the delicious exploration. Just then, Donovan suddenly froze, pulling back from our intimate entanglement.

He broke the kiss and stared deeply into my eyes, his gaze searching mine for what felt like an eternity—twenty seconds stretched into what seemed like a vast chasm of uncertainty. I was left wondering what thoughts were racing through his mind, feeling a mix of confusion and desire. And just like that, he withdrew his hand, stepping back with a look of intensity that left me perplexed.

“What… What’s wrong?” I asked, my voice wavering with a blend of disappointment and yearning. I could feel an ache coursing through my body, an unmistakable urge for him to return to the electric connection we had just shared.

“It’s late already, and I’m feeling a bit dizzy. Let’s go to bed,” he replied, turning towards my bed and walking away. The confusion nestled deeper within me, leaving me speechless in the wake of his unexpected retreat.

“I… I don’t understand, Novan… Why did you stop?” I couldn't help but voice my bewilderment, surprised at the urgency of my own questions. My heart echoed my desires, wanting nothing more than for him to resume what we had started.

“I’m feeling a headache, Amica Mea… Please, just get on the bed; let’s sleep,” he urged, his eyes still holding a compelling intensity, as if trying to convey unspoken words. A light chuckle escaped my lips, a mix of amusement and frustration at the sudden end to our intimate moment.

"You just turned me on so incredibly much, and now you're just going to roll over and go to sleep?" My voice dripped with playful disbelief as I bit my lips—a nervous habit that always seemed to heighten the tension between us.

“Is it my body or is it the way I moan?”

He sighed, and I could see the shift in his expression as he tried to gather his thoughts.

“It’s nothing like that, Amica Mea,” he replied, his gaze softening as he looked at me, clearly appreciating everything about the moment.

“You are undeniably sexy, and the way you moan sends shivers down my spine like sweet music filling the air. The truth is,” he continued, a subtle frown creeping across his face, “I’m feeling a bit of a headache.”

A rush of frustration bubbled up inside me at his sudden change of heart.

“Just like that? Out of nowhere?” I muttered, my mood shifting as he stood up from the edge of the bed, crossing the small distance between us with deliberate steps. His presence was warm and inviting, yet I felt a pang of disappointment.

“You really don’t need to feel bad , Amica Mea,” he said gently, placing a tender hand on my shoulder..

“It’s just that… honestly, I can’t tonight.” With that, he leaned down to plant a soft kiss on my lips, trying to calm the storm of emotions brewing between us.

“Believe me,” he murmured, his hands trailing over my curves,

“you are breathtakingly sexy, and your body is… absolutely perfect.” He covered my breasts with his hands in a way that was both possessive and affectionate, igniting a fire within me.

“Let’s just get some sleep, okay?” He suggested, his voice laced with a kind of pleading that made it hard for me to resist. He took my hand in his, leading me toward the inviting expanse of the bed.

“But… but I’m feeling so incredibly horny right now!” I protested, my voice barely above a whisper as I shifted restlessly, unable to ignore the tension between us that felt almost electric. He chuckled softly, kissing my neck in a way that sent delightful shivers racing down my spine.

“I’m feeling it too, Amica Mea… believe me, I am. But not tonight,” he said, his tone carrying a gravity that reminded me of his earlier words.

“What do you mean by not…” I began, ready to challenge his decision when suddenly, the shrill sound of my phone ringing pierced the air, causing both of us to turn abruptly toward the source of the noise.

“Who on earth could be calling me at this hour?” I mused aloud, my curiosity piqued as I approached the table where my phone lay. The soft glow of the screen illuminated the darkened room, revealing Henry’s name flashing across it. Without hesitation, I reached out, swiping to answer the call with a sense of urgency that accompanied the late hour.

“Hello?  Henry? What’s going on? Why are you calling me so late?” I inquired, a mix of concern and surprise evident in my voice. Just then, I heard a light chuckle on the other end, easing some of my tension.

“I’m really sorry for waking you up, Bestie,” he replied, the tone of his voice playful yet slightly strained.

“You see, I was so eager to share some news with you earlier, but in the chaos of the day, it slipped my mind. That’s why I’m reaching out now. Besides, we both know you’re not an early sleeper,” he added with a teasing lilt, prompting me to roll my eyes in exasperation, even though I couldn’t help but smile.

“Alright, hold on—what could possibly be important enough to call me about at this time of night?” I asked, curiosity getting the better of me as I leaned against the table, eager to hear what had compelled him to disturb my peace.

“It's about Nathan,” he began, the gravity of his words instantly shifting the tone of our conversation.

“Nathan has been missing for the past two days,” he said, his voice trembling with emotion.

A chuckle of disbelief escaped my lips before I could stifle it.

“Wait, what? I…I don’t understand. Are you saying he’s missing?” My mind raced as I tried to process what Henry was telling me.

“What do you mean, ‘missing’? How could this have happened?” I asked, trying to make sense of his revelation. Confusion and concern swirled within me like a storm, and all I could do was hope that the situation was not as dire as it sounded.

"You heard me correctly," he continued, a hint of urgency lacing his voice.

"He was supposed to be at work the day before yesterday, but for some reason, he never showed up, which was highly unusual for him. His friend, George, grew concerned and decided to check in on him. When George arrived at his house, he found something rather peculiar—the front door was wide open, yet there was no sign of his friend anywhere inside. Immediately sensing that something was off, George started to look around."

"He glanced through the rooms and called out his name, but there was only silence in response. As he stepped outside to take a closer look, George remembered that his friend had mentioned something about taking out the garbage that morning. That’s when things took an even more unsettling turn.

After leaving the house, George reviewed the nearby CCTV footage, hoping to catch a glimpse of his friend or any clues about his whereabouts. What he found sent chills down his spine: the footage clearly showed someone forcefully dragging him into a car. The scene unfolded just moments after he stepped outside to dispose of the trash."He said and i gasped loudly immediately.
My gaze shifted to Novan, watching him intently, a smirk was on his lips, as if he found the entire ordeal more amusing than alarming. It was a strange contrast to the gravity of the situation, and I couldn't help but wonder what was lurking behind Novan's enigmatic expression.

GIOVAN'S POINT OF VIEW
"But seriously, what on earth do you think you're doing, Giovan?!" Silas exclaimed, his voice rising with a mix of anger and disbelief. His eyes narrowed as he continued,
"Why in the world are you calling her when it has nothing to do with our plan? You were supposed to be on the phone with her, issuing threats to ensure that she complies with our strategy, not reaching out for some frivolous conversation. What is the matter with you?"

Silas's words were laced with frustration as he fixed me with an intense stare, almost willing me to understand the enormity of my mistake.

"Can you just take a moment to stop yelling and actually listen to me?" I pleaded, trying to infuse some calm into the raging storm that was Silas's irritation.

“Please, just sit down for a second.” I gestured toward the sofa, hoping he would see reason, but instead, he let out a loud hiss of exasperation, clearly unwilling to relent.

"I refuse to sit here calmly, Giovan. Not when you're behaving so foolishly!" he shot back, crossing his arms defiantly. With a huff, he begrudgingly lowered himself onto the couch, his posture radiating frustration.

"I truly know what I’m doing," I asserted, attempting to instill some confidence in my tone. However, Silas frowned deeply, his expression darkening under the weight of my words.

"No, you don't, Giovan. I've noticed the way your face lights up whenever you're talking to her. What possible reason could you have for reaching out to her? I just don’t understand you," he said, piercing through me with his gaze as if searching for a hidden truth.

"I… I… I just couldn't help it, Silas. There’s something about hearing her voice that I find absolutely irresistible," I confessed, leaning back against the couch. A wave of relaxation washed over me as I surrendered to my emotions. "It’s like an addiction I can’t break free from, and it felt so good to hear her again."

As I spoke, I could see Silas struggling to process my words. Despite the gravity of our plan and the importance of our mission, part of me felt a thrill at the simple pleasure of her voice. But I knew I needed to find a way to balance my feelings with the responsibilities of our arrangement.

"You're not feeling well, are you? Or perhaps there's something off with your mental state.” He paused, narrowing his eyes, weighing his words carefully before continuing, “Could it be that the medication we’ve been administering to your brother has started to affect you as well? Because if this is some sort of twisted joke, you really need to stop; it’s not even remotely amusing." He delivered this last bit with a distinct frown, which prompted me to let out a chuckle almost instinctively, despite the tension in the air.

“Would you please just take it down a notch for once? For Pete's sake!” I replied, rubbing my forehead in frustration, feeling the pressure building behind my eyes.

“Calm down? Don’t you dare tell me to calm down! What on earth do you mean when you say you just couldn’t help yourself?” he shot back, his voice rising slightly. “You ought to be the one pushing her to hand over the medication to Donovan, not the other way around. At this point, I’m genuinely worried that you’re going to sabotage the entire plan we’ve set in motion. You should have seen your expression during that phone call; it was beyond cringeworthy!" His frown deepened as he shook his head in disbelief.

“I guess I won’t be calling her again, then. Are you happy now?” I retorted after a moment of deliberation, shrugging my shoulders in resignation.

“I really don’t give a damn whether you call her again or not, Giovan. What I’m trying to convey is that our top priority right now should be ensuring she understands that the drugs need to be administered to Donovan,.”

Silas leaned back in his chair, hands folded neatly in front of him, and the early morning light cast a soft glow around him as he spoke, almost as if it were accentuating the gravity of his words. “You won’t believe what our spy called to tell me this morning,” he said, his tone laced with an intriguing blend of excitement and concern.

I leaned in closer, eager to catch every word. “She called? What exactly did she say?” I asked, my eyes locked onto his face, wanting to extract every ounce of information from him.

With a slight shift in his posture, Silas continued, “She mentioned that it appears Donovan and his doctor might be developing feelings for one another… and get this, she suspects that there’s a strong possibility they might have been intimate. Apparently, Donovan spent the night in her room last night.” The impact of his revelation struck me like lightning, and I shot up from my seat in disbelief.

“What? Are you serious? What did you just say?” My voice trembled slightly, a mix of astonishment and disbelief flooding my system. As I registered the weight of his words, I saw Silas watching me closely, his expression revealing a mixture of concern and surprise.

“I mean… what on earth does he think he’s doing?” I stammered, struggling to articulate my thoughts. The reality of the situation left me momentarily at a loss for words, and I could feel a knot forming in my stomach as the implications began to sink in.

Silas sighed heavily, offering a pragmatic viewpoint amidst the chaos of my thoughts. “That’s not my concern,” he said with a wave of his hand. “But you need to understand that this could create a significant problem. If she truly has feelings for Donovan, she may not ever give the drugs to Donovan . You know how women can be when they’re in love; their priorities shift dramatically.”

As he spoke, I couldn’t help but feel a deep frown etching itself across my forehead. The potential fallout of this situation was beginning to loom large in my mind, weaving a tangled web of complications that I was not sure we were prepared to navigate.
Why is it that Donovan always seems to take away everything I end up loving? It’s as if he has a sixth sense for my affections, swooping in just when I start to cherish something. He consistently finds a way to snatch away the good things in life, and with each instance, my resentment towards him only grows deeper. Now, of all the possible people I could develop feelings for, I find myself drawn to his doctor, someone who seems to embody everything I’ve been searching for—intelligence, compassion, and a striking smile. And, wouldn't you know it? Donovan has fallen head over heels for her as well. Why?! I mean, of all the women in the world, why did it have to be her? I can't help but feel a fiery determination ignite within me; there's no way I’m going to let him have her. She’s mine, and he should understand that, I thought fiercely, the rush of emotion causing me to leap to my feet almost instinctively.

“Where do you think you’re going?” he challenged, his surprise evident as he stared at me, clearly taken aback by my sudden surge of energy. “Did you hear what I just said? Aren't you going to contribute anything of worth to this conversation?” His voice carried a mix of disbelief and impatience as he watched my retreating figure.

“I’ve heard everything you said, Silas... I just need some time to think of a more effective solution,” I replied, trying to keep my tone even while feeling the tension rise in the room.

“What’s there to think about? You should be planning on kidnapping her mother and brother or something dramatic like that! That’s the sort of response I was expecting from you,” he retorted, raising his eyebrows as if my lack of chaos was a personal disappointment. I let out a deep sigh, feeling the weight of his sarcasm.

“I told you I’ll come up with something more practical, Silas. I have everything under control, and I know exactly what I’m doing,” I asserted with a scoff, punctuating my words with a sense of defiance.

“Now, if you’ll excuse me, I really need to get my thoughts in order without further interruptions.”

"And what's that???" he exclaimed, an eyebrow arched in curiosity, and I couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle, amused by his shocked reaction.

"How about I pay him a visit??" I suggested casually, my voice dripping with a confidence I felt inside. The moment the words left my mouth, he gasped audibly, his eyes widening in disbelief and apprehension.

“Did I just hear you correctly?.... You’re actually considering paying him a visit?..... Are you out of your mind?” he yelled, his voice rising in pitch, clearly alarmed by the thought of my plan. I let out another chuckle, enjoying the effect my words had on him.

"You should know the answer to that question," I replied coldly, turning away from him with a sense of finality. My footsteps echoed in the hallway as I walked off, dismissing his concern.

As I made my way past one of the maids, she greeted me with a polite,.

“Good morning, sir.” I barely acknowledged her, allowing a deep frown to settle on my face, reflecting the storm of emotions swirling inside me.

“Fk off, btch,” I snapped, my irritation spilling over as I forced myself to keep moving. I was so overwhelmed with annoyance that even the smallest provocation could send me over the edge.

The mere fact that Donovan had declared an unholy war against everything I held dear filled me with a simmering rage. He had promised to seize anything I loved, and I had vowed right then and there that he would suffer the consequences each time he dared to challenge me.

“If I can’t have the doctor, then neither of us will,” I thought, a dark grin creeping onto my lips as I reached my door. It creaked open with a hint of foreboding, and I stepped inside, the weight of my intentions brewing like a storm on the horizon. Every single encounter with him had only deepened my resolve, and it was time to make him pay, once and for all.
