A kiss and some more
I looked at the space in front of me ‘what even is the point of going back?’ I asked myself looking down at my hands for the briefest of seconds. 
“there is no point!!!” I screamed, feeling a bit of ease as I screamed into the vast space. 
“She cared for me” I said more to myself as there was no one around. “You are cruel!” I said, screaming into the sky as the tears trickled down my face. 
The trees in the distance tussled, scaring me for a moment. 
I gripped my shirt, an attempt for me to be able to breathe because the clothes felt suffocating but it did nothing to help. 
It tussled a bit more before someone came out, some one I did not in a million life time think would come out of there. 
“Aiden?” I called in a shaky voice as i took a trembling step back. 
He had this haunting look in his eyes as though he did not expect me to be here. 
“I was on my way back… then I heard you scream and…” I did not wait for him to say any other thing as I ran straight into his arms 
He was coming back to me.’ His last words rang in my ear 
“you came back” I said more tears dripping down my face as I spoke. 
“you think i would just abandon you?” He asked, pulling me away slightly so that he could look in my face as he spoke. 
I shook my head. I knew he would not abandon me, but the way it happened, the way he had stormed out. “I just felt like…” I could barely complete the words as I was choked with sobs but that did not stop, I kept trying to talk about how the last time we met ended, and how he looked entangled, but then… he kissed me
It was not anything frantic like the one we had the last time, neither was it anything rushed. It was just his lips on my mind but I felt it. 
I felt the pits of my stomach come alive as he his lips laid there, his breath fanning me as I stayed there, covered in blood but he did not seem to mind. 
If anything, he pulled me closer, briefly parting our lips before looking at me. 
“I thought I told you that I am not going to leave you alone?” He said, looking at me with raised brows. My mouth fell open but I did not say anything, I could not. 
He leaned in again, kissing me calmly, his tongue caressing mine ever so softly that I forgot to breathe. 
“Breathe love” he spoke, his words coming softly as he continued. 
“Aiden” I called, pushing him away slightly. My body burned in protest as I did that, heck! My lips screamed as the coldness against my lips wanted nothing more than to go back to the warmth that had fanned my lips, but I could not. “You were the one telling Kandlin that you have a wife you are to marry” I said, feeling my throat close up as I spoke about that but I pushed the words out. 
“You can’t seriously be thinking of that when you are with me right now” I shook my head. I have had a lot already so I literally was not going to take another form of heartbreak. 
“I shouldn’t but I have to!” I screamed, looking at the man that stood in front of me, looking like my ex husband but nothing like him… I was hoping. 
“Advika…” he said looking at me as he held my shoulders. “you have to forgive me when I say this” he spoke, chewing his button part of his lips in a way that made me want to remove his lips from in between his teeth and take it in mine. 
He took in a deep breath, leading me away from the dead bodies laying on the floor which was great because I was nearly passing out from seeing bodies on the floor every time I looked the other way. 
He held my hand, taking me to a stream just about a few kilometers from where he had met me. It was flowing. “Wash up” was all he said before going somewhere, or at least tried to.. 
“Where… where are you going?” I said, grabbing his hands so tightly, I would have hissed from the pain if it was me. 
“You need your privacy to freshen up, and you need to eat so I am going to get you something from there” he said, pointing to the other side, making me realize that there was a small tent just across.
“Oh..” I said, pulling my hands from his reluctantly. “well come back soon” I said. Something about him moving away did not sit right with me but I let it be. 
He said nothing, just smiling at me briefly before leaving. 

I had freshened up and eaten and honestly, I felt a hundred times better than before. 
“So…” I spoke, my attempt to kill the silence. “ you wanted to tell me something?” I said, looking up at him. 
He seemed to stiffen a bit, as though he did not expect that I would bring it up. 
He put down the plate in his hands. Looking at me for another moment. 
“Lola..” the way he called me sent shivers down my spine. I had come to accept that it was my name before going to the human world, but something about the name shook me to my core. 
I pressed my lips together, waiting for him to say something more. 
“You were married to Kandlin. And he was obsessed with you” I shook my head, already knowing that part. “But the thing is… you were never his to begin with, you were and.. you are my mate” he said, looking at me briefly before taking his eyes off me and looking into the distance, leaving me blank..
