29. She Dives Me Crazy

Alex was busy with his people inspecting the new building under construction for his lounge and bar. The handsome man, who looked like a professional model, surveyed the building while listening to the staff's explanation of the building.

Although he is wearing a construction helmet to maintain safety, it does not diminish the good looks of Alex Matthew.

Chou, Alex's assistant who was behind him pulled over for a moment when he got a call from Alex's secretary.

"Okay, I'll tell you, sir," Chou concluded and immediately entered the line.

But the man did not immediately give a message to Alex because he was monitoring the situation. Alex was in a pretty serious moment, so Chou just kept following.

"And we've prepared a sample menu that might serve as your banquet, Mr. Alex."

"Of course."

"Please feel free to come here, sir!" The male staff directed Alex towards the garden that had been specially prepared with a roof to entertain their boss.

Alex's arrival was immediately greeted by a waiter who brought a lot of food. They immediately set it out in front of Alex.

Singapore Laksa, smoked beef belly and Caesar salad were served as main courses. There were also two different brands of alcoholic beverages and cans of beer.

"I love gin," Alex said and took a sip of his drink.

Gin is a distilled alcoholic drink that derives its flavor from juniper berries and other botanical ingredients.

"Enjoy your meal, sir." Then, the staff scattered away.

"Mr. Alex," Chou called out.

"Yes?"

"Mr. Ken would like to speak with you." Chou handed Ken his cell phone, which had been reconnected before approaching Alex.

"Yes, Ken? Is there a problem?" Now Alex had taken over the cell phone while enjoying the fresh air in the park. The weather was nice. So, it was pleasant to be outside.

"Someone you've been looking into wants to talk to you," Ken said.

"Someone I've been looking into?" Alex frowned. "It's not Celine, is it?"

"Miss Irene."

Alex's beautiful jeweled eyes suddenly rippled. He choked up for a while before a faint grin was finally etched on his face.

"Madame Irene?" whispered Alex in a husky voice.

"Yes."

"What did she want to talk to me about?" Alex was still grinning.

"I haven't asked her yet because I'm following procedure. If you allow someone to talk to you. Then, I'll ask for details."

Ken always follows business rules. No one was allowed to seek Alex out or even communicate with him directly. Let alone strangers, even his staff were not welcome to meet Alex in person if it wasn't for something important. All to keep Alex safe as one of the biggest narcos.

"I always appreciate your hard work, Ken. But is that necessary when I'm the one who gave him your business card?!" Alex emphasized at the end of the sentence.

"Yes, sir. I'm sorry."

"Hurry up and call Irene again. She's an amazing person. I could be missing out on some crazy stuff with her!"

"I'll do it immediately, sir!"

After finishing his meal, Alex stood beside the lake. His cigarette smoke billowed into the air while Chou protected his boss with a giant black umbrella.

Alex seemed to savor each puff of smoke quietly. Then, gave a grin as Chou handed him his cell phone when a call came back.

"How was it? You've..."

"It's me, Irene Collin."

The grin on Alex's face grew even bigger. "You are very impudent, Miss Irene."

"This is me. I don't like to beat around the bush. So, I came straight to see Ken."

"What do you want? Do you want to find Celine?"

"More than that."

Alex brought his thick, mesmerizing eyebrows together. "What's that?"

"Let's work together."

Instantly, Alex's laughter boomed. He couldn't stop laughing at Irene's words. "Are you serious? I mean... are you crazy?"

There had never been a single person who dared to confront him to ask for cooperation. Everyone was both afraid and reluctant of her. But Irene was not like them. That's what made her quite attractive in Alex's eyes.

"I am crazy."

"What do you want to work as?" Alex was fishing for something else that might be veiled.

"I want to work as your professional director."

Alex was still laughing. "You think you're a traffic sign?"

"Yeah, sort of. You know that I can make a good reference for your future."

"I know. You do it to a lot of people including my aunt, who is urging me to get married. It was you, wasn't it?"

"Not really. I just directed your aunt to be more assertive. Not to get married."

Alex gave a nod. He was beginning to understand the outline of the intended future direction. But he didn't want to be trapped.

"But you haven't done it for me," Alex said. "Don't just because I like your lips, you become so confident that I can easily accept you here."

"I have."

"What?"

"I asked you to stop looking for Celine."

Alex chuckled. "You're asking me to look for her because Celine could become my enemy by exposing all my crimes."

"I can see that. It's just that I haven't told you the details yet."

Alex increasingly did not understand the direction of Irene's conversation, which made him even more curious.

"Let's meet now!" Alex pleaded.

Alex waited in a luxurious private restaurant in his hotel on a fantastic night. One of the best five-star hotels in Manhattan. He waited for Irene's arrival in a semi-formal suit.

Then soon the sound of the door opening was heard along with the sound of high-heeled steps that were so melodious. The luxurious and sexy scent of perfume aroused Alex.

"Good evening, Mr. Alex," Irene greeted him.

She looked fantastic in her Simple Mermaid Off-the-shoulder Chiffon Prom Dress With Open Back And Split Front. Her long hair was tied up and her breasts looked plump, as well as her smooth legs.

Oh, my God. Why does this creature never cease to tempt me?" whispered Alex's mind, who could only gape at the angelic presence in front of him.
