Chapter 73 Would Always Kill A man For You

Chapter 73 Would Always Kill A man For You
Isabella stood frozen in shock, her jaw slacking and eyes widening in disbelief when the gun resounded not once but thrice.

Goosebumps formed on her skin. The air in her lungs turned into ice.

She shook her head, staring at the ruthless monster in front of her.

'This isn't true.'

'It's just a hallucination.'

'Samuel isn't dead yet.'

'He couldn't be...'

'He—'

"Isa," he called, his voice dropping a lethal octave.

He took a step towards her.

She took a step back.

Samuel's blood was pooling under her feet.

She couldn't even look at the ground.

She wanted to force herself to believe that the person lying on the floor wasn't Samuel.

He should have left.

He should have fucking left.

Why didn't he?

Why?!

'Everything's my fault. It's all my fault. What do I tell his parents?

His loving family who loved me as their own daughter.

How do I tell them that he died because of me.'

No

No!

No!!

She heard him growl out angrily.

But she didn't care.

He took a step towards her, she took a step backward.

'You just signed his death sentence. He would be dead before midnight.'

The promise Nikolai had given her burned aggressively on her skin.

It was her fucking fault.

Why did she have to say that Samuel was the only one who could kiss her lips.

Even when she had heard the possessive roar from Nikolai why didn't she counter her words?

Fuck

Fuck!

She noticed Nikolai closing the gap between them and she Instinctively took another step back.

The dark intensity in his eyes sharpened into something cold and uncompromising.

"Come here, Isa," he commanded, his voice dropping to a low husky sound that made the air feel thin.

She didn't move towards him.

Her tears were gathering faster.

Her body was shaking still in disbelief.

Then her knees gave away, she collapsed onto the ground.

Samuel's blood pooling underneath her legs, staining her dress and hand when she touched him with trembling hands.

Seeing his hollow eyes wretched her soul.

His lovely brown eyes were now dead. Empty.

The wide empty hole on his forehead sent a frightening sensation coiling at her guts.

Hot and heavy tears began spilling through her eyes, dropping onto Samuel's suit.

It was raw, blurring her vision as she sniffled hard unable to control her tears.

She leaned towards his dead body, gripping the fabric of his jacket, her shoulder quaking with the sudden loss of her brother. The one who always looked out for her!

"Samuel...please," she whispered sadly, "please...wake up. You... You..." Her emotions poured out as she shook his dead body, urging him to wake up.

But his case could never be reversible.

The dead couldn't come back to life.

Had she known, she would have never contacted him.

Had she known, she would have never rattled Nikolai.

It was all her fucking fault.

She had no one else to blame but herself!

Nikolai's jaw tightened as he watched Isabella sob over Samuel's dead body.

His eyes hardened.

Her tears were falling for someone else.

A sharp, ugly twist of possession clawed through his chest.

Those tears were his.

She was his.

If she was going to cry, it had to be because of him and him alone.

She had no right to sob over another man.

No one else had the right to that part of her.

He was unable to withstand her painful sobs that reached him.

He jaw clenched so hard that it ached as a harsh hiss gritted out through his teeth.

Isabella was still crying over the death of Samuel, her tears soaking into the shirt of the man he'd just killed.

It should be trifling.

It was.

But then her sobs weren't for him.

Even in death, the bastard was still coming between them.

That was unacceptable.

“Isa,” he growled, voice low and dangerous. “Come here. Now.”

She didn’t move.

Her shoulders kept shaking, soft broken sounds spilling from her lips like she couldn’t even hear him.

His patience snapped.

"One second, Isa," he said, his tone turning ice-cold and lethal.

"If you don't get over here right now, I'll hunt down every last member of his family. I'll kill them one by one while making sure you watch— starting with his mother, for not teaching her son not to touch what belongs to others."

His cold words sat like life wire on her skin.

Her entire body instantly jerked like she had been struck by lightning.

Her sobs seized in her throat, following a sharp, terrified gasp that escaped her lips.

Her wide, tear-filled eyes flew to his, pure panic flashing across her face as the threat sank in.

Her hands trembled violently against Samuel's blood-stained shirt.

She knew then not to defile him.

She wasn't going to let Nikolai annihilate an entire family because of her.

He. Didn't. Fucking. Bluff.

His words were alive, waiting silently for her to defile him so he could have a reason to kill the bastard's family.

He didn't give a shit about anybody. And he had ways to treat people who think they had the right to touch what belonged to him.

Now, she would learn not to let another man get close to her.

She would learn that only him had access to every inch of her.

If she so much as allowed another man to touch her, his family wouldn't find a body to bury.

Isabella scrambled to her feet, her legs unsteady as she walked towards him.

Her face was tear-stricken.

Her face flushed with a mix of hot anger and fear.

She didn't want to walk towards him but she had no other choice.

As soon as she reached a foot distance between them.

His smell that made her go nebulous, wafted into her nostrils.

More feral. More intense.

Spilling hotly around them.

Every breath she took smelled of him.

Her body shook, a shiver running down her spine as his cold fingers wiped her cheeks.

Her tears burned Nikolai's chest.

"Stop crying." He commanded.

She bit her quivering lips.

And took in a sharp breath, forcing her tears to a stop.

Though, she still sniffled constantly.

"Good girl."

With one long stride, he covered the distance between them, leaning down on her neck.

Their car pulled over.

But neither of them moved.

More likely so that Nikolai didn't let her move.

"I had killed a man for you. I killed a man for you. And I wouldn't stop for a second to kill another man for you," he said, his voice a dark lethal growl, the words skittering acros
s her skin.

Taking a long sniff of her flowery scent now mixed with the hint of fear, he gripped her waist possessively towards him.

"You belong to me, Isa."

He sucked at the sweet spot of her neck.

"Forever."
