Chapter 20

Dante POV

I am shocked to hear Asher's perception of the monster who attacked our kinds who went hunting to find food for their families.

I felt guilty for not saving them.

"What? Are you telling me that this monster knew us? How? And who was it?", I asked my twin brother.

Asher raises his brows and curled his arms in front of his chest. He doesn't know who but because of the way it attacks.

" I'm not sure yet but we have to be vigilant during the day since it loves attacking at day time." He said while checking the dead werewolves wounded gut.

Enzo was busy piling dead bodies inside the palace's cart to be put in one deep hole inside the wall to burn them while Dante was still thinking about the monster.

He's suspecting Ashina but she didn't leave their sights even one second so she's not the monster he always pointing at.

Maybe his mom was wrong. Now they have a new threat and it was located outside their Kingdom.

"Alpha, are we done? Aren't you going to hunt the monster? What if it's going to make his moves again, tonight?", his beta Enzo asked him.

He clenched his jaws and narrowed his eyes to the forest.

"First, we outwit by the Rogues and now, an invisible monster? I won't let them get away from my paws!", he gritted his teeth and his wolf Hugo suddenly goes out and Dante turned into his original form.

He's different from his twin Asher since he was bigger than him. He's thrice larger than his twin but Asher was very smart and sharper even he's small.

This two were both good Alphas so no wonder they're twins.

Dante howled to catch the monster's attention. Asher looks worried for his brother and his wolf Hari wanted to join Hugo in his battle.

Asher had no choice since his wolf wants it. His human skin was replaced with his thick black fur, his canines grew longer and sharper too, his legs became paws and claws, and his eyes turned red.

He growled too and they both ran to find the heartless monster. They had no idea that the monster wasn't alone. He was hiding on tall trees above them, waiting to jump in any one of them. He set a very creepy screeching sound like a dragon.

The twins heard it.

Their fierce red eyes are staring at each other while their nose sniffs the monster's scents near them.

" Did you smell it? I think I know where it was." Asher said through his link inside his brother's mind.

"Yeah. I think it's on top of us!", Dante just finishes his words when the monster attacks them from above.

Moonshadow s werewolves were active when it comes to scents so you can't outwit them.

They both looked up and dodge his attacks. Their eyes widened to know that the monster is a she-wolf. She's a female kind of monster and she looks familiar.

She's fast and strong. Her eyes locked at Dante . Her golden eyes appeared and she has horns just like Dante .

"Who the hell are you?", he tried to get inside her mind but he's seeing another face inside the monster.

"Ashina ? Is that you?", his wolf scented Aria. He dances in joy.

He saw the sadness and fear in her eyes. He saw Asher highly bounce at her from her back and I quickly ran and jump on him. I pushed his heavy body and he stumbled on the ground.

The female monster finds a chance to escape from them. Asher hastily stood up and glared at his brother.

"Why did you do that? She's almost at the tip of our fingers! How come you let her escape? We can interrogate her and we can ---", Asher saw Dante pushed him out from his sight.

"Look out! The Rogues are attacking again!", he roared towards them scratching his sharp paws on the ground to prepare his very deadly attacks.

Before he does, he makes a loud howling sound to call and warned his packs that the enemies are approaching.

He shifted his gaze at his twin. Asher was surrounded by five big bad rogues.

Dante saw the courage in his twin brother's eyes. Before he witnessed their attacks, someone passed at him like a wind. It's a quick attack. He felt a sting on his neck until fresh blood started to splatter on the ground. This time his cuts were very deep. Dante 's vision became blurry as he cupped his neck tightly to stop the bleeding.

Asher's eyes widened to see his brother's chest pooled with his blood.

"Awoooo!!", he growled with anger.

He started to scratch each one of them with his long and sharp claws too. He wanted to save his brother. While Asher is fighting to defend his twin, Dante is trying to connect his link to his slave Ashina .

" If you hear me or if Aria felt that Hugo was badly injured, come and save me. I know it's you. I know your identity and this is the time to show me that you're not a bad hybrid omega!", he said when his sanity bygone.

The Alpha King first time drops on the ground, whimpered and helpless. Cora set a smirk on her face. She's with the rogues, attacking with them but she's hiding as the monster outside the wall.

Ashina POV

I was busy doing laundry with Alba when I felt someone calling my name in the wilderness. My ears won't stop moving and her scents are getting stronger. I quickly close my eyes to find and locate her link until I get through without a barrier.

" Your hazard and scary. What kind of monster are you? Are you the monster they're talking about outside the wall?", I asked her with my eyes closed for deep concentration.

I heard her laughing. She's screaming like a crazy girl.

"Me? Deadly and creepy? What about you? We bump each other once but I think you forgot that since you're so weak and helpless." She mocks me and sets another laughter again, evil laughter.

"Why you show them what you are!

Come to the forest and find me. I am waiting because your master is here too, just right below my sights!", she warned me and I quickly ran outside and saw the people in the village closes and lock all their windows and doors to hide from her.

She heard everyone about the monster lurking behind the palace's gate and she thought she was their topic but she's not alone. There's more outside, creepier, and evil aside from Dante and his mom Aurelia .

Ashina POV

I am now heading to the wilderness to save Dante with my hybrid form.

I am not afraid to reveal myself anymore. I am his mate no matter what so ever let Asher claimed me as his mate, I can't explain why my heart only beats faster towards him. She doesn't know why Aria preferred Hugo to Hari.

I saw Enzo taking the corpses inside the palace. He saw me near the gate and he looks confused. He looks happy to see me.

"Hi, may I ask what are you doing here near the gate?", he politely told me while there's a corpse on his back.

I set a sweet smile towards him and bit my lower lip.

"Uhmmm, looking for the twins. The Queen called them." I lied.
