Dante POV

I quickly followed them into the dungeon. My mother heard about Ashina and she gets mad at me. I told her to stay calm and I will explain to her later.

I am now the Alpha King of the Moonshadow packs and my voice is my law and my actions are my rules. Even my mother can't change it because it's part of our pledge before we prove ourselves that we're the rightful heir of the Alpha King's throne.

I thought of it about the monster that helps us fighting the rogues if who is that person. I have one primary suspect and she was my mate, Ashina .

At first, I won't believe it myself and I am trying to understand how come and really but as my mom describes the monster itself and what I learned about Ashina , maybe she was right, maybe my slave was the hybrid monster.

For me, it's unbelievable like who would think that I am not the only different werewolf living in our Kingdom. I don't know if how many of them are existing but I won't let them live. I am the only hybrid who lives many years and I will kill who wanted to take my spot.

I was on my way to the dungeon. I ordered Enzo to make her talk about her real identity but he reported to me that she's stubborn to cooperate so I decided to interrogate her myself as the Alpha of the packs.

As I came inside, I smelled an unusual odor, and I am right, it came from her.

She was inside a cell, alone and weeping.

"Hey, don't act like a little girl, Omega!

You won't buy me for being so dramatic!", I called her attention.

I am stunned when she turned around and started to glare her eyes at me.

"How dare you treat me like this, Dante ?

We have a deal, right? Why Enzo tortured me just to tell him that I am that monster?

You don't know anything about me except that I am your mate and an omega!", she now acting as a fighter.

I set a devilish smirk on my face as I walked closer to see her closely. I called my soldiers to take her out and locked her on the metal chair where I can do anything I want to her to make her talk.

The two Hugo 's Liam and Hugo released

Ashina from the cell.

"Don't touch me! Just let me go, Dante !

I didn't do anything harmful to all of you! My family is waiting for me!", she begs for him but the Alpha King was determined to lock her and force her to tell the truth.

" Leave her to me. " He told them and he quickly shoves Ashina on the face.

"Why not tell the truth? Why making things difficult? I saw in your eyes that you're different! Who are you anyway and don't lie to me because my mom came to your place to meet your mom!", Ashina 's eyes widened when Dante said about it.

She keeps on moving and forces herself to let go of the metal chain.

"Please, I beg you, don't hurt my parents. I am not a monster so can you please let me go. " Ashina said while her tears started to roll down on her bruised face.

The Alpha King laughed at her like he didn't care. He's so cold and stone-hearted and Ashina wishes that he didn't exist in this world. She secretly gritted her teeth while glaring at him.

Dante moved closer and now caressing her pale and bruised face.

His eyes were examining her, studying and recognizing her.

"Don't worry, mom won't hurt your mom, and your little brother. She just wants to know something about you from your mom." He promised her and let her go.

Ashina won't give a damn chance to anyone if they hurt her family.

North Dakota

Ana had no idea that Ashina 's face turned to someone she knew from the past.

Maverick saw her changing and he hides behind his mom's dress.

"She's not my sister. Let go of her, mom!", Maverick keeps shouting behind his mother's clothes.

Layla heard him and when she let go of Ashina , she looks terrified to see the person in front of her.

"Aurelia , is that you? How did you-",

Layla 's stuttering words made her stop.

The Queen of Shadowborn Kingdom just raises her eyebrows and nod her head.

"Why? Are you thinking that I won't find you? I don't know you have a daughter and a son? I thought Otto killed you and your child!", Layla 's eyes stretch wide opened towards Aurelia .

She did her best to keep her children away from the palace so the Queen won't find her but because of the invitation letter from the palace itself, their lives are now in danger. She won't make it happen. She won't let Aurelia hurt her children. She made a promise to the late Alpha King Otto that she will make his child safe and grow as a normal omega.

"What did you do to my daughter? Tell me! I won't forgive you and your son if you hurt her!", Layla warned Aurelia .

The Queen just set huge laughter at her.

She looks for a chair and sat like her throne. She crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"As you can see, I came alone. I didn't want to kill you today but I wanted to ask you something very important."

She informed her rival Layla .

Layla was curious about what she wants to know from her. She's hoping that it's not a secret she's hiding for the past twenty-one years.

"Tell me, what is it? I will answer you and take my daughter back here, safe, understand." She wanted a bargain.

Aurelia suddenly narrowed her face towards her. She's not happy with Layla 's answer.

"Well, it depends on how you will answer me. Tell me, Layla did Otto really impregnated you or just a random soldier.

We all know how cunning and innocent you are when you met my husband!", The Queen asked her Layla looks confused.

She won't know why Aurelia brought back the late Alpha King's name in their conversation. They all know that she was the one who ordered to slay the King even her son will lose a father.

Layla spits on her. She's heartless and not a good Queen.

"You don't deserve his love. I was his first love before he scented you as his mate!

You and him married because of the bonds of your wolves and nothing more! You killed him and I just keep it to myself."

Layla didn't control her temper.

Queen Aurelia stood up, tightened her jaws, and slap her.

"How dare you talk back to your Queen!", she yelled at her.

Layla holds her reddened face while she kept Maverick behind her.

"We're Omegas and you cast us away many years ago so why would I bend my head down and praise you as my queen?", she mocked her and Aurelia just hold her anger a little more because she's not done questioning Layla yet about Ashina .

"Okay. The last question, what kind of monster is your daughter?", she asked Layla and her face started to look pale.

"Monster? My daughter? How can you say that? Did something happen to the palace? What did she do? No, my daughter is not a monster! Do you have proof!", Layla defended her daughter.

"I will take her away. Just tell me if you want us to vanish here forever, we will. I will find my place and bring them with me."She started to kneel on the Queen.

Aurelia smirk at her. She raised her brows at her. I think Layla was right. She will help them vanish to their world so her son can find a better pet and his future mate. Even Ashina was that monster, she doesn't care anymore. All she wanted is to erase them in their lives and forever be gone from her sight.

"Okay, let's have a deal. You will visit the palace and take your daughter with you. I will talk to my son." She instructed Layla and they agreed to each other.

Ashina won't stop struggling when

Dante took a hot iron rod to ruin her skin.

"No, don't do this. I told you many times that I am not the monster outside the wall! I'm your mate and a weak and useless omega whom you rejected so why would you waste your time at me!" Ashina said and was about to scream when they heard a door creaking sounds.

Her eyes widened to see someone who looks like Dante . They look like twins.

" Dante , what are you doing to that pretty lady!", Asher yelled at his brother.

Dante turned around and was surprised to the abrupt appearance of his twin brother Asher.

"Asher? You're here? When?", he asked him like he wasn't happy to meet his twin brother after fifteen years of being away from the palace.
