Chapter 122

Natasha's POV

We all gathered as we listened to Elsa's explanation of the Emrys town according to her it was one of the biggest coven then headed by a powerful wizard but after the elimination of all witches, sorcerers and other familiar being it wasn't heard of again, Elsa deduced that the dark one must be the head of Emrys coven and there was a possibility that he was still there.

"So you are trying to say the dark one is here and we can take him down once we get here.." Ryan pointed to the red dot on the map.

"Yes but it won't be easy, Emrys coven isn't like mine, I heard the place was known for evil things. I guess the witches there were the ones that implicated us." She uttered.

"Can you take us there?" Dante asked and I saw Lisa give him a slight nudge.

She didn't want him in.

"Yes, through a portal would be safer than going there on foot or by air."

"When can we go?" I asked her.

"You aren't going anywhere." Ryan retorted and I glared at him.

"What do you mean!" I snapped.

"Give us some minutes alone." He ordered.

They stood up one after the other until it was only Ryan and I that were alone. Ryan's eyes were on me but I wasn't bothered by his actions at all.

"You have a son, a mate and a pack to take care of. Why are you so bent on finding him?" He stormed to my side and sprouted angrily.

I stood up with the same energy as him. I guess he forgot the part that it was my fate to put an end to the enemy.

"You are forgetting something Ryan, it's my fight not yours."

"It's your flight when I say it is!" He used his Alpha tone and I shifted back.

When he sensed my discomfort he stopped his actions, a guilty look shown on his face. He came closer to me, his hands on my arms and he stared into my eyes.

"I don't want to lose you Tasha." He exhaled and Inhaled.

"You won't." I answered and he shook his head.

"You don't know what I'm talking about, I can't bear to let you out of my sight. I haven't recovered from how Gabriel managed to take you away from me now you just want to walk into the lion's den…"

"If anything should happen to you Tasha, Jayden, everyone and I will suffer, don't you get it." He shook me vigorously.

"Stop!" I freed myself from him.

"I'm very sure I will win, I've been preparing for this day for months now you can't just tell me to walk out of it now!"

"The prophecy clearly says it's my fight, please you've got to understand that."

I wasn't scared about who I wanted to face, I was scared that my mate didn't believe in my ability. He doubted my chances of survival, that alone was an obstacle.

"I just need my mate and Alpha to believe that I'm not a weakling, I need him to believe in me." I told him and his eyes softened.

He released his grip on me and pulled me to a hug. I wrapped my hands around his waist and was enveloped in his embrace.

"I'm really sorry Tasha, are you still angry?" He asked.

"No." I stated plainly.

He wanted to pull away from me so he could look at me but I didn't remove my hands from his waist.

"I stopped being angry the moment you realize your stupidity."

He chuckled at my words, we remained in that position for a while listening to each other's heartbeat. Until a knock on the door disrupted our moment.

"Um.. so sorry for disturbing you but what's the conclusion? I got a date with Irene." Xavier cleared his throat.

I pulled away from Ryan, tucked my hair in the back of my ear. I began to pick the dirt under my nails wondering how Xavier turned so naughty and playful.

"We are sorry, you can all come inside." Ryan answered.

"It's good to see you are both doing good, Alpha, Luna." Xavier bowed slightly, I could see he was trying to fight a smile.

"Phew!" I wiped the imaginary sweat that formed, Ryan chuckled at my behaviour.

They all came in and went back to their seat, the serious atmosphere began again, we started planning and strategizing on how not to get busted and screwed. Thankfully we had a little backup Elsa's coven and some other good covens were in since we don't know exactly what or who we will be facing.

"So at this point we will create an ambush, does the prophecy talk about an army or anything?" Xavier asked as he showed us some of his gadgets.

I was glad that he could now walk, the guilt of seeing him on the wheel chair stopped and I felt Elsa was the one who now turned to answer his questions.

"No, just a single man right Natasha?"

"Yes, my mother said nothing about the army." I hope her deduction was right.

"It's not bad to be on our toes so it isn't a waste of time," continued Xavier." Liam spoke.

Everyone took turns in saying their opinion, it took us several hours before we could finalize on the grandale plan and inform the inner circle of what we planned to do since we couldn't trust anyone with that piece of information.

"Let's just hope this prophecy is true." Dante whined when we were done with the meeting causing Lisa to slap the back of his head.

"What!" He whined.

"The prophecy is true but I sometimes imagine if everything was a prank." She chuckled and we all fell silent.

All of us with a stoic expression including Liam who would have sided with his twin. I wondered how the pair could work Dante and Lisa were jokers, they never took anything serious.

"I'm just kidding,!" Lisa bursted into laughter.

"You've got to work on your jokes woman." Connor hissed.

The atmosphere changed into a bubbling one and I felt relieved that once again my family had my back.
