Chapter 121
Natasha's POV
I stood silently hearing Ryan talk, I avoided staring into his eyes at all cost for the fear that I would give in too easily. He hurt my feelings. He wasn't always available even to the extent that I couldn't recognize his scent properly.
The best way to protect me was to be by my side, even if something were to happen to me I know that at least he was by my side. We are supposed to be in this together that's the only way we stand a chance.
"Okay."
"You aren't mad at me again right?" Concen laced in his tone as he held me.
"I really don't know what to say at this point." I turned to face him.
"I guess along the way we will sort things out, I'm tired I need to sleep." I stood up leaving his words hanging.
I adjusted the sheet and went back to sleep. I was surprised when Ryan went to the bathroom to change and came to sit next to me.
Nevermind I'm sure he is going to leave before the morning comes.
I felt a hand around me, my eyes went open, I shifted gently and saw Ryan next to me shirtless. I stared at him keenly, my wolf panted on how I was hurting her mate and how I should pull him into my embrace but I refused.
Ryan's eyes fluttered open and he caught me staring, I averted my gaze and tried to stand up but he held me down pinning me on the bed.
"What do you think you are doing,?" I frowned.
"Let's lie in bed for a few minutes please." He pleaded.
"Please." He said again when I wanted to stand.
I gave in and we laid next to each other. He kept on sniffing me and my body was reacting to that. I didn't like it all and I kept my mind in check, the last thing I want is us having sex and the next thing he is out of the pack or back to training.
"Are…you still angry?" He whispered in a seductive tone.
I thought of different ways and schemes to thwart the event that was going on and I got an idea instantly.
Jayden!
"I have to check Jayden!" I pushed Ryan away, stood up hurriedly, wore my crocs and dashed outside.
Jayden wasn't on his bed when I entered his room. I checked around and didn't see him, knowing that he must have been with the guys I went there.
"Good morning." I greeted Liam when our eyes met.
"Good morning Natasha."
Jayden was in his lap eating flakes, he ate so much for that little age of his. I guess he took it from his father, I stepped inside and went to meet them.
"Just wanted to see how he is doing." I told Liam who thought I wanted to take Jayden from him.
Jayden was a playful child, sometimes I don't match his energy when it comes to playing.
"Okay.."
"I'll just go grab coffee, catch you later." I blew some kisses to both of them before leaving the room.
I whistled as I entered the kitchen to prepare breakfast, doing that would probably help me clear the things on my mind. Lisa joined me too she arched her eyebrows at my attitude but I shrugged it off when she couldn't take it anymore she spoke up.
"What's up Tasha?"
"Only Ryan calls me that you know?" I rolled my eyes and she giggled.
"So what's up with the early breakfast thing, your whistling dragged me here." She added.
"Ryan and I made up." I answered.
She placed her hands in her mouth in shock, she instantly dropped the whisker that was with her and tiptoed to my side. I stopped the water from running and faced her, I braced myself for what to tell her.
"You know I'm actually happy that he knows that he hasn't been good to me and he wants to patch things up with me but I don't know how to be close to him again." I told her sadly.
"I really can't advise you Natasha about your relationship. I'm just growing with Dante, all I can tell you is to be happy." She placed her hands on my shoulder in a comforting manner.
"Thank you." I smiled at her.
"Thank you too." She smiled.
"For what?" I arched my eyebrows.
"For telling me things someone else wouldn't have opened up because I'm related to Ryan."
"Oh." I mouthed.
After our brief conversation about how childish and annoying our mates can be sometimes we continued with Connor's footsteps made us pause our actions, Lisa waved at him when he entered, while I offered a smile which he returned faintly making me frown.
" Have anyone seen Elsa?" He asked, he looked stressed like he was in a deep thought.
Lisa and I glanced at each other before Lisa gave a crooked smile and I knew she was onto something foolish again.
"Why…are you looking for her?" Lisa sang and I shook my head.
She was at it again.
"I…just haven't been seeing her around." He wanted to hide the fact that he was worried or should I say he was missing her.
"Really?" Lisa went to nudge him, earning a glare from him.
"She went to the coven to do some research, don't worry she will soon be back." I answered him.
Just then Elsa walked inside with an awkward expression on her face, Connor and Elsa's eyes met and we could notice the chemistry that was going on.
"You know Connor was just asking for you Elsa." Lisa said abruptly and I mouthed for her to stop but she didn't.
"Why are you looking for me Connor?" Elsa folded her arms.
"Don't think you are special, I was just asking because I haven't been seeing you around that's all." He stomped out angrily.
"Um.. he doesn't mean that." Lisa tried to soothe her.
"It's fine, I'm used to his coldness." She said painfully before turning to me.
"We've found where you are looking for where we can find him."
"Where?" I asked immediately.
"A place called Emrys town."
